Let me start by saying that the The Dog House gave us back the most amazing dog we never thought was possible! Let me explain. So I decided to bring home a German Shepherd puppy to my wife and 3 boys, thinking I found the perfect family dog that could grow large and strong to play with my 3 rambunctious boys. I've had many dogs in the past and never had trouble training any of them. I figured this experience would be no different. Fast forward a year and I realized I was WAY in over my head. Isabella was and is a very sweet dog, but was completely uncontrollable in every aspect of life. I simply could not train her to be the family dog I had dreamed of. She was destructive, hyperactive, and unpredictable. I can go on and on. Enter The Dog House. We handed them Bella, after an extensive intake process and three weeks later, she came home a happy, well-adjusted dog. She now, heels, goes to her "place", stays, and anything else you can think of. They taught us how to speak her language. They came to our house and even my office to do home training to tailor her to our needs. We now literally have the dog I had dreamed of. Not only are we happy but Bella is also so much happier! We can’t thank Carrie, Sam, or the rest of the staff at the Doghouse enough. Before sending our 1 year old female Doberman here, she would pull on walks, was highly reactive toward other dogs (including our other dog sometimes), and just didn’t listen to commands when any distractions were around. It became unpleasant to take her outside and wasn’t any better inside because we always had to keep her separated from our other dog. After three weeks for the socialization training, she’s awesome at heeling where we get compliments often and were even asked if we’re dog trainers lol, she has learned to not react toward other dogs and we are able to communicate what we want her to do. We’re able to set boundaries in the house where the problems we had before with our other dog isn’t happening anymore (we’re still very careful with this since we just got her back recently). The fence line aggression between her and the neighbors dogs hasn’t happened since she got back. Sam was awesome and updated us with pics and videos showing what our dog was capable of, that seemed impossible before. During the transition sessions, Sam would always have answers to any questions we had and enhanced our confidence and ability to handle our dog in any environment. We can’t wait to get back every month to continue and refresh our training. If you have problems with anything from obedience to aggression, I’d stop wasting time looking for competent trainers and go to the Doghouse. If you have any doubt whatsoever about sending your dog here rest assured from someone who felt the same way that you have absolutely nothing to worry about. .look no further and do it!! Your dog will be in the best hands!! Carrie and Sam are truly the dog whisperers, BOTH my dogs Cyrus who is 4, challenging, and has never been able to heel is now heeling perfectly and is a changed dog! I gave Carrie and Sam a wild and disobedient 7 month old GSD Puppy and in 3 weeks they transformed her into a loyal companion. My friends make fun of my “circus animal” now because I am constantly putting her level of obedience on display. I’m now able to take my dog anywhere, and she is never a hassle. If we eat outside, she lays down under the table without begging or bothering other tables. She stays put when other people come to pet her or other dogs walk by. She doesn’t rush the door when I let someone in my house, and she no longer jumps on furniture or people when greeting them. Having an obedient and well trained dog has allowed me to bring her places I never would have considered before. A few concerns I had going into this was that my dog would only take commands from Doghouse trainers or become more disobedient over time. It has now been a few months since her training and the degree of obedience hasn’t changed, and she listens to me more than anybody else. The doghouse is great!! They trained our hyper lab puppy to be a perfect sweet girl!! I can now walk her with no stress and pulling and she obeys all my commands. Its wonderful. She is now a big part of our family and were so thankful for that! Their program just made sense to us compared to others. They trained her at their facility and then out at lots of local spots that we visit as well as need home visits. HIGHLY recommend The Doghouse for boarding. We board our young German Shepherd, Zeke, here and know when we leave him, he is in good hands and still has structure and discipline. Our pup can also be very scared of adults and everyone on the entire team handles him with confidence which makes him relax. The people at The Doghouse have worked with my dogs and I for years and during that time they have earned (and deserve) more respect and praise from me than I can convey in this review. From basic obedience to advanced work my dogs and I have both learned well from the expertise that is offered here. Carrie & Sam provide skilled, compassionate, instruction that comes from training dogs day in and day out. Even boarding my dogs here has been a beneficial experience for all involved as the dogs enjoy the time spent with furry friends and I enjoy the peace of mind that comes from knowing my dogs are well taken care of. It's difficult to accurately convey the level of service that is available to dog owners looking to better their relationship with their canine companions, suffice it to say that it is second to none here. I can attest to this, as would my dogs if they were better able to, and don't give it a second thought to contact them when I need to find help with whatever dog problems I run into. My dogs are better behaved, more well-adjusted and able to be part of society thanks to the Doghouse. What happens at the Doghouse is truly inspiring and I am beyond grateful to have been referred to them. Carrie and her team are the most committed, passionate, professional, caring people you will ever find to work with your dog, and transition this new obedience back into your home life. I have a working line German Shepherd with energy and spunk and they truly taught me how to handle her and properly correct and connect with her in a way I would never have been able to do before this training. I was so hesitant to be apart from her for those weeks, but witnessing her new skill set while being my same happy, affectionate girl was worth every day of missing her. I would recommend The Doghouse to anyone - for training or boarding - as we've used both services.

We have a challenging GSD named Brisby. She's afraid of everything, and responds by barking, which makes her terrifying to other people. We also had a baby on the way and wanted to make sure she had the basics down. After meeting our dog, Carrie recommended a month of in-depth socialization training. It was not only the best thing we've done for our dog, but also the best thing we did to prepare for our baby, who is now five months old.

Brisby spent one month at their facility with trainer Samantha. We were given updates and pictures constantly, which made her time away a bit easier. The final week, we were integrated back in to the training and taught alongside her. Sam is great and we truly appreciate everything she did for us and Brisby.

Our dog came back more confident and, though they couldn't remove her fear entirely, now knows how to respond when she's nervous or scared. They also taught us how to help her. The "Place" command has been invaluable, both for the dog's sanity and ours.

TLDR - They are fantastic: the facility is clean, the dogs are well cared for, and they truly know what they are doing. I can't recommend them enough. More...

I brought my GSP puppy in for full service training after hearing several glowing reviews of Doghouse LLC from friends and family and I'm so glad I did. Training taught Sadie so much and the obedience she learned made our relationship that much stronger. Sadie now attends daycare at the Doghouse and loves it. I can't speak highly enough about the Doghouse! I had a loud obnoxious coonhound that had driven my family crazy, to the point where they had given up on him as a bad dog. After the Doghouse training, he's much more manageable and obedient. Also, Sam and Carrie were able to point out what I was doing wrong correction wise, a big part of the problem! They've given him a firm foundation and me the tools to work with him (never in a million years did I think he could be off leash but they've worked miracles!). The refresher courses are excellent, for those bad habits that may be creeping back in (mostly my bad habits!) and whenever I have a question I have texted either of them and they've replied back with advice. I researched dog obedience programs all over Florida and I am so pleased I settled on the Doghouse LLC. I can say without reservation that I would recommend them to anyone wanting to find a dog training program that will not only teach reliable obedience to your dog, but also provide a safe and supportive environment for your pet. It was obvious how bonded my two Yorkies were to Carrie and Sam after only 3 weeks. Carrie I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the training of Sadie and Rocky. My wife and I currently have two dogs that were fully trained at The Doghouse and two that have been through brief sessions there. They are the most well behaved dogs I have ever had, and I've had a mess of dogs. I've always had reservations and heard horror stories about having someone train my dogs and now realize just how wrong I was. This is so not the case here. The Doghouse staff is very professional and has many accomplishments to be proud of. They treat your dog like family and you with respect. Four years ago, I drove two hours to drop of my crazy six month old German Shepherd pup for a two week training session. Two weeks later I picked up a very well behaved young dog with solid commands and an awesome temperament. Our Golden retriever went though the same training program as well, with the same results. I knew they were very well taken care of by how happy they appeared in the videos I was sent showing their progress. (That and the fact they weren't sure if they wanted to leave) Our rescue (German Shepherd) had some fear/aggression issues which were easily corrected by Carrie working with us for a couple hours, showing me the proper way to go about socializing a dog in her condition.I have and will recommend Carrie and her staff to anyone, for pretty much any type of training imaginable. Carrie and Sam trained both of my dogs, one of which is a Weimaraner puppy. They took the time to listen to what we wanted to accomplish with obedience and training and delivered outstanding results. Carrie and Sam don't take a cookie cutter approach. They understand each dog's personality, quirks, and challenges. Look no further. You have found the best, most capable, caring trainers. If they can train my crazy weim puppy and boxer mix, I'm convinced they can train any dog. Having gone to their proofing classes with many other graduates, it's clear to see they get results and do it with love. Carrie is the best trainer!! I took my lab to her for basic obedience but then again to be service dog trained. He goes to them for vacations (ok my vacations he goes there for boarding) and every few feels he goes to them for daycare and breaks to play with his friends.  He is always super excited when he gets there so I feel comfortable leaving him. It has been six weeks since our now 7-month old German Shorthaired Pointer completed her Foundations training with Carrie. We dropped off a high energy puppy that ruled our world meaning, we had NO control. The transformation wasn't to her energy, personality, or spirit with just three weeks of training, our dog now understands the language we speak. Our words matter! Think about it for a minute – how does your life and interaction with your dog change if they really understand most everything you ask them to do and they do it? It isn’t insignificant, it is major. We can take her anywhere with us and it is enjoyable for her and us. We no longer worry about her getting away from us and running into the street. Friends can come over without being mauled at the door. We can hold the door open as we carry in the groceries with no worries that she will run out that door. She knows that her teeth are never allowed to touch human skin (we are still healing from puppy teeth wounds!). We can take her to parks and know that when we call her to us – she will drop everything to run to us. Carrie not only helped us all understand each other but she has been available to answer our questions. We have been back for group classes where Carrie reinforces the training and continues to train us on how to best communicate with our sweet Mulan. This has been the best investment ever! Where is the 10 star rating? We cannot even begin to explain Mulan's transformation. It is just remarkable. I can empty the dishwasher, fold laundry, make dinner and put groceries away without having to put Mulan away, lol. She does the 9 commands like a badass freaking boss. We loved her training and OUR training! We keep looking at each other thinking we went home with the wrong puppy, haha. Walking used to be, um, a STRUGGLE. Pulling, panting, embarrassing. Now, she is a pure joy to walk and we are so proud to walk - a puppy - a high strung puppy - with her heeling so nicely and WITH SLACK in the leash. People are jealous, we just know it! Lol. Like every other review out here, Carrie worked wonders on our spoilt gsd. We tried every other training out there, even so called certified ones. All they did was give useless tricks and not training. Nai was a stubborn puppy when we sent him off to school and he came back more mature, consistently obedient and calm..He's got near zero leash reactivity now and consistently does commands. We enjoy showing off now when we do walk or training sessions in public. Carrie was recommend by k9 police officers and once we saw her site and YouTube videos we knew why. She's awesome with dog and human training and makes sure you "get it" before transitioning the dog. She even came to our apartment to give some pointers for in house training which is way beyond what anyone does. If u r on the fence about training, don't wait..Nothing is worth an accident from an untrained dog and the risk of having a dog taken away, or worse.
