I've done a fair bit of analysis and reading up about SEO, Social Media, Marketing for brands in the past. So I thought I was doing a lot already. However when I met the people from The Digiterati I was blown away with the information they were able to give me about simple to execute plans to make our services more visible to the right customers. They had insights that I'd never known before about our clients and how to reach, engage and communicate with them. The great thing about The Digiterati is that they give you the tools to do the adjustments yourself and show you how to analyse the results if you want. If you are a small company the most likely reason for outsourcing Digital Marketing is that you don't have the expertise to do it yourself. But without expertise how do you decide whether an agency is any good or not?The first thing I noticed about Marie and Carlton was that they are on it - quick, efficient, on point responses to all my questions - so far so good . The second thing was their attention to detail - a thorough examination of our business, its products and objectives. Next a comprehensive, jargon-free plan tailor made for us - it was clear this was no off-the-shelf strategy. All explained with great patience and an appreciation of our limited understanding of marketing. And moving on to implementation I feel confident that we made a great choice with The Digiterati. Really pleased with the Advanced Facebook Marketing course provided by The Digiterati. It's very detailed without being long and drawn out, and provides instant value and actionable insights. After I had completed the course I got my team to do the same, and collectively we now have a much better understanding of Facebook advertising. If you think you could be doing more with Social Media advertising (particularly on Facebook) you should definitely check it out. I thought I knew quite a lot....until I went through this course. We aren't the typical agency that hoards their knowledge and then locks clients into a retainer. Instead we empower clients through training, coaching and working alongside them to become better marketers themselves.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Our team came together over a three-year period on what is considered the world’s most impressive Digital Marketing MSc, delivered by Manchester Metropolitan Business School (a top 5% global business school ) in partnership with leading digital marketing publisher Econsultancy.
During this time we came to realise we were very much among the elite of digital marketers worldwide – and coined the term Digiterati to describe ourselves. We began to collaborate on projects – bringing in our peers for projects, client work and more.
Client companies were frustrated at the lack of experience, strategic thinking and general digital and social media know-how of their existing agencies. Many of these agencies, themselves struggling with digital transformation, would never turn away digital marketing work despite only having surface knowledge of it. So we found ourselves picking up the pieces of projects that had been poorly advised and implemented, with clients wishing they had found us at the project’s inception.
We formed The Digiterati to provide digital excellence to both client companies and agencies. We've worked as consultants, interim Marketing Directors and also as trainers for in-house teams.
