Went to this newly opened ‘Sri Lankan’ restaurant yesterday by chance. We were so impressed with the quality of the services and foods. Very friendly staffs and chef. The foods were well presented and more importantly full of FLAVOUR! It was definitely a ‘Wow’ for me after leaving this place. Fortunate enough to stumble in here on its first week of opening. A fab menu of interesting food, with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, served in lovely clay pots. We found this place unexpectedly. Even though we went to try the food as Sri Lankans our selves we weren't sure if we'll find authentic and tasty home food. But oh boy we thought wrong. Food was amazing. They have hoppers which is a Sri Lankan delicacy and they make killer hoppers. And chicken kottu. We had heard amazing things about this new eatery and our expectations were exceeded when we visited recently for breakfast. My partner had the sweet potato hash, I had the chorizo sour dough (both are their bestsellers). Sam's culinery and nutritional expertise really shines through- and the chef working that day got it spot on. I found it very difficult to choose as the menu is so inviting! There's something particularly chilled about the place and is remarkable how natural it all is - like it has always been there (6 months ago it was a derelict wool shop I believe). Great vibe, great food, great staff. Good ingredients cooked well, no hint of pretentiousness that you sometimes get from some 'healthy' eateries. Perfect place to go to feel nourished - the bloody mary and the sodas were exceptional too! It's worth a visit to Bristol alone for this little gem.
