Very interesting spot. Artworks in several studios in a converted farmyard. Pleasant café for light meals, snacks and drinks with waitress service;
outdoor tables too. Lovely walk through the woodland on a grass track, leading to the Lake with bridge and rowing boat in the style of Monet's 'Waterlilies'. Unspoiled - no vending machines, burger vans
or 'adventure play areas'. Plenty of free parking.

We are lucky to have this successful and inspiring place in an area so much regenerated from coal mining. Helpful staff, great courses and super massive annual show. Concerts too and good food.

I love it here. The staff are so nice, there's plenty to see and a place to get some nice food. A lovely big car park, an art supplies shop and events that can be attended throughout the year. A must for artists and art lovers.

Nice place to have a light meal. Some pleasant art work by local people adorn the walls and the galleries on the site offer further viewing/purchasing opportunities.
Staff here are friendly and helpful. A pleasant place to spend a couple of hours with friends.
