What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
It's all about listening to what the crowd wants, reading the atmosphere and knowing what beat to drop and when. A DJ feeds off his dancefloor, the more electric he makes it, the better he performs.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
I have a mixed style based on the music I play. Because I cover a wide variety of genres and eras it's hard to describe the style. I like to keep it mixed up, let the people dictate how I play and what I play, adapt to the atmosphere and situation and not be afraid to communicate, and above all be a DJ that talks...
What do you love most about your job?
I love the reaction I get from the people when I play the favourites. When the beat drops and you see how the crowd come alive.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been part of the wedding industry for well over 10 years doing photography and videography, but as a child, I always wanted to be a DJ. I used to go out with my Uncle, a DJ with over 40 years experience and watch him intently as he entertained the masses. Watching how the people reacted to him gave me a buzz, I could see how he fed off that and thought to myself, 'I want some of that'. So 9 years ago my dreams came true. I started off small doing karaokes in the pubs local to me and built myself up from there. The setup has changed since then and I am able to offer a lot more now in terms of services I offer and equipment I use.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have a passion for my job that is unprecedented. I offer a tailored service that is designed around the client's needs. Music is a personal preference and my service always reflects this. Because my service is built this way, clients are able to meet with me face to face to discuss all requirements, and where this is not possible I am able to do meetings using Skype or Facetime, or a simple telephone conversation.
I offer a simplistic booking system that allows for payments to be made using all major credit and debit cards or bank transfer. Costing is simple and there are never any hidden charges. The service is simply what you see is what you get.
