Not what we were promised. When Jamie came to quote I told him we needed a new patio to be level with our existing patio as my husband was sight impaired and quite unsteady following a stroke. We wanted drainage next to our neighbours conservatory as this has flooded in the past. He also said he would put it alongside the kitchen wall. He showed us a picture of the slabs and we agreed on light grey. He said if he got the work it would be in about 3 weeks due to prior commitments.
He rang me the next day and we gave him the work. He rang me a few days later to say the goods had been ordered and paid for and could he start the following week so he could arrange a delivery date. A few days later he rang again to say he couldn’t get the original sized slabs but could get larger and we agreed.
When the workmen turned up they bought all the materials with them and spent the first day digging out and preparing the base for the patio. I was at work the next day and my husband stayed in the lounge out of the way but when I got home I was really shocked. There was no drainage alongside the conservatory, there was a difference in height between the patios, the slabs were really thick and dark grey with a few light patches more like driveway slabs, they had put a large kerb alongside the grass with a load of concrete, the slabs on the manhole cover were all chipped and the entire thing looked like a really old and dirty patio. They had cut the bottom of the down pipe and the kitchen waste pipe so any waste now sits on top the the grating. The lawn which has been laid a few months earlier had about 10 bald areas where they had been cutting the slabs and a large patch of oil from the slab cutter. They didn’t bring anything to protect the lawn even though I had said to Jamie the lawn was new so could they be careful.
The next day the original workmen couldn’t return so the man who had been labouring came to finish it. He rang Jamie and told him we were unhappy and after coming to check it he agreed to replace the manhole slabs and the 4 surrounding it. He told his labourer to cut our slabs and cement a slope between the 2 patio’s. Jamie said once it dried out it would all be the same colour.
Once the work was completed it was even worse than before but by this time my husband was getting really anxious
so I just wanted them gone.
Like an idiot I paid him as he said the men were waiting to be paid.
We still have 2 wheelbarrows full of rubble which he has kept saying he will remove. He has also said he will replace the slabs with proper patio slabs but when my husband rings him he cancels his call. We have left messages to no avail.
I am so angry as we will have to put up with this really horrible old looking patio as we can’t afford to replace it. We paid £1740 for this and it is beyond me why he couldn’t have used new patio slabs rather then really old ones. More...

Hi Jenny I’m sorry you feel this way me and my team done everything in our power to complete the job the slabs that we used with what we agreed on from the start nothing was never changed I done extra work at no extra cost I came back three times to rectify some minor faults there’s not much more I could of done If the job was not done to standard I would’ve gave a refund but the job is done to 100% standard and you were both happy at the time I told you if you had any problems to call me and I would come out then when we spoke on the phone you told me that if I didn’t give a full refund you would slander my name on the Internet for a bad reputation and I informed you that was entirely your decision but all work was carried out to 100% satisfactionBoth you and your husband were happy at the timeI really don’t know why you would leave this review but that is your opinion

Excellent job by a great team who worked not- stop from the moment they arrived until they left. The site was cleaned up before they left too.

They came out give me a quote but what made them stand out from the rest they actually took time to actually go on the roof and find where the leak was when all the rest where just quoting leak sorted thanks again

Came and fitted me in on the 24th December which was Christmas Eve as I had a leak he sorted the problem which gave me peace of mind over the holidays thanks again

We approached Jamie as he was working across at the neibours house we asked him when he had 5 mins to pop across and take a look at our driveway he cane straight across with me and quoted me instantly I gave him the go ahead 2 days later and now it looks brilliant very detailed in what was getting and and although the weather was against them they got the job completed in the time he said many thanks guys

What a pleasant and friendly bloke Jamie has transformed my paths and garden we have also booked him for March to sort out our roof and roofline would defiantly recommend
