Move Camp was so much fun and an excellent workout. The trainer Damon is so welcoming and encouraging. It felt like a personal training session as he really gave individual attention to everyone in the small class.  I was just visiting Hawaii for a week for the holidays and I popped into this class before Christmas. Everyone was so nice, they even invited me for an after workout pot luck dinner for the holidays. Not to mention a beautiful location. I loved it and would be a regular if I lived in Hawaii.  Great environment for any fitness level, I will definitely be back! More...

My wife and I were in Honolulu on vacation and attended the Move Camp with Damon twice while we were there. The class is a good workout, everyone is really nice, and Damon pays attention and helps give guidance on form/technique. It's also in a beautiful setting (Ala Moana Beach Park), so can't go wrong. Team Move's 'Move Camp' was just what I needed to stay fit and balance out all the poke bowls & musubis I'd consume during my two week vacation. The Move Camp class sizes are relatively small, about 8-10 people of all fitness levels, which allows the instructor (and owner), Damon, to focus on everyone there. I was so sore after my first class - since I generally only practice yoga, the exercises targeted muscles I never knew existed - but a good kind of sore, which left me wanting to come back for round 2. I don't think I've worked out in a more beautiful location than Ala Moana Beach Park at sunset...if you're looking for a trainer on Oahu, seriously look no further! I can't wait to come back for another class...mahalo Damon for kicking my butt! More...

This review is long overdue.I've joined gyms and other organized programs over my lifetime. I've been successful with some and not with others. Joining Team Move changed my view of working with a trainer, and also increased my expectations of what a trainer can do for me. Even in the Move Camp classes, Damon manages to connect with each of us on a personal level. Great support and accountability! Also classes are held in the great outdoors along with a variety of nostalgic music! As far as business owners go, you won't find anyone as driven, passionate and committed as Damon.Damon is passionate about helping others and has a genuine interest in helping to work things from the inside out. There's a personal touch in the way he works with us. He puts safety first and accommodates fitness levels for everyone. 1ST IMPRESSIONMy very first time attending Move Camp (a Team Move style boot camp) was for a CMYE Yelp Kicks Butt event. They hosted a large group of Yelp members and did several different workouts with us using both our body weight and exercise equipment. They made the class both challenging and fun and even provided us with light snacks afterwards and gave away a few of their anniversary t-shirts. I enjoyed this class but at the time, I wasn't really serious about staying active and getting in good physical shape. yelp.com/biz/yelp-kicks-…2ND ENCOUNTERTeam Move hosts a "Thanksmoving Workout" every year on Thanksgiving morning. The workout is early enough so that you don't miss too much of the Macy's Day Parade and football! Anyway, I thought it was a brilliant idea to have a huge group workout on the morning of Thanksgiving to lessen the guilt of all of the crap that we eat on Thanksgiving. What a great way to work for your Thanksgiving meal.  The Thanksmoving workout was awesome and they had drones fly above us during the workout to get some pictures of us in action. We did a bunch of cardio and strength exercises very similar to the CMYE YKB. After the class, they gave away a few pumpkin pies. LONG-TERM COMMITMENT It took me almost a year to attend another Team Move class not because Team Move's staff and programs aren't great (they really are!) but for the fact that I just wasn't committed to being active and staying in shape. So I've somewhat buckled down and am working out on a more consistent basis because I've been attending Team Move classes for about two months now and am so grateful for both the instructors and members for making it fun to workout. Team Move offers a variety of classes including Move Camp, Work FIT, Senior FIT, yoga, and personal training. I've been attending both yoga classes and Move Camp, which are outdoor group exercise classes that is similar to circuit training and boot camps. The yoga classes, instructed by yoga guru Danny, are awesome and are held at Magic Island near the ocean. The classes are held on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. Danny helps us relax and gain strength, balance and flexibility. The yoga poses he goes through with us are both easy and challenging at the same time. How so? He provides easy and advanced modifications to fit everyone's level of fitness. The Wednesday evening class is a perfect way to end my workday as it helps me to decompress and at the end of class, we catch the beautiful sunset from the beach park.Move Camp, usually instructed by Damon (Owner of Team Move), offers a wide variety of exercises for all fitness levels. Classes are held at Ala Moana Beach Park on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Exercises are done using our body weight and also a ton of different exercise equipment. Some of the equipment we use are resistance bands, weights, battle ropes, sand bells, medicine balls, etc. We also use "The Wall" which is the stone wall that lines the sidewalk of our workout area. The wall provides us with a lot of great ways to work out different areas of our body. Like I mentioned-the exercises are for all fitness levels and Damon always offers modifications (both easy and advanced) to cater to everyone's fitness levels and injuries, if any. I'm not a fan of working out at the gym because I get bored easily being indoors and my workouts feel redundant there. Move Camp is perfect for me and what I love most about it is the variety of exercises that the classes offer. No two workouts have ever been the same and this is great not just for my sanity and to keep things interesting but for physical health and toning alone. I definitely recommend taking Team Move classes to anyone and everyone for a number of reasons: Classes and services are priced reasonably compared to many other personal trainers and fitness programs, the instructors are talented and really great at what they do, the members are awesome and a pleasure to workout with and hey-you're not living if you're not moving. If you attend a class, you'll be lapping everyone on the couch! More...

If you frequent Ala Moana Beach Park, you'll notice an abundance of people relaxing on the beach, running around the area, doing yoga, and having outdoor fitness classes. Outdoor fitness classes are much more popular now and I had NO idea why. Let's see. I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this class. Per the description, it seemed like this was the real deal. Might as well try it right? Damon, the owner of Team Move, was very friendly and inviting. He also is the instructor for the Move Camp classes. I have never taken an outdoor class so this was really different. The ground is uneven and you have to remember to put sunscreen on! Plus people are passing you and yes, you get some funny eyes every once in a while. You have to touch the ground, wall, and get grass/dirt on you every once in a while. At first, I was like "this is a NO go!" But, you get over it pretty quickly since you're sweaty already. Parking isn't so bad at this time. The lot is typically empty when I stroll in around 5:15 or so. :) MOVE CAMP: Classes are held on Tuesdays/Thursdays at 5:45pm at Ala Moana Beach park across from the outdoor gym area along the short white wall. If you park in the Magic Island parking lot towards the bathroom, you're very close to the meeting area!  (Find the sign that says Picnic Area 29) The class size is relatively small, typically around 10 participants. I was pleasantly surprised how welcoming and friendly everyone was. I felt a sense of "family bonding" at the class. Damon's classes reminded me of a mix of a boot camp with a sense of "you push yourself to the max" mentality. What I mean is that the exercises are simple: squats, planks, pushups, etc. But to get a really good workout, you have to push yourself. Everyone is at a different level. You go at your own pace. I like to think of doing as many reps as possible before failure in the given time span. If you need added weight, then you grab the heavier medicine ball or extra dumbbells. Damon shows you ways to modify exercises also. What I liked about Damon was that he ensures you have correct form and alignment. So many classes these days focus so heavily on getting a sweat that they compromise form and have a higher chance of injury.YOGA: Classes are held on Wednesdays at 5:45pm and Saturdays at 7am at Ala Moana Beach park towards Magic Island near the palm trees. The participants at yoga are the same as at Move Camp. Danny, the instructor, is very friendly and his voice is calming. I'm not an experienced yogi at all but this class isn't extremely advanced and feels more like a stretch/relaxation yoga class. Since the ground is uneven and weather conditions change, the poses can still be rather difficult for balance which makes it more challenging. His choice of music is great too! Danny will correct your alignment if necessary. Since the class is small, you sort of get a personalized yoga class! Plus, you get to see the sunset which is breathtaking! No one shows up acting like they are stronger, better, or fitter than anyone else. Everyone is really friendly and so nice. One member even shared her dumbbells with me when I didn't have any! Thank you! :) They have events such as movie nights to just get together (and it's a discounted price!). So awesome! My typical workouts are high intensity such as Insanity or running so this was a very different kind of workout. Honestly, at first, I wasn't sure if I was going to return. But I realized that these classes work different muscles than what I was used to. Having a combination of different workouts is really good and that's why I'm giving Team Move the thumbs up! More...

I've never been one to frequent the gym or stick to a workout program for more than a few months, so it says a lot about Team Move that I've been with them for over two years now and can't imagine stopping any time soon. Started off with yoga to build strength and flexibility.  Danny is great and makes it easy to follow along. Practicing yoga Wednesdays after work while the sun is setting is my reward.  And Saturday mornings starts my day, body and mind off to a great start.Joined Damon's move camp a year ago because I wanted to build muscle and get toned.  Every Tuesday and Thursday workout is different. Never boring. Always challenging. I never thought I would enjoy a group workout.  Too shy.  Too intimidated.  But Damon and the other movers made me feel comfortable. We challenge and support each other instead of competing against one other.  No one acts all tantaran.  hahaI've become so addicted to the workouts that I went and hung out with them even when I was too sick to work out myself.  Damon called me "sick." LolAnd for those who like to work out to music, Damon delivers.  And we're outdoors!  The only downside to being outdoors is the rain.  But being out at Ala Moana beach park means that it can be raining in Manoa valley, but clear as day near the ocean.  We were seldom rained out.  And Damon always offers a make up class.I take advantage of their combo pack of yoga and move camp.  It's really a great deal when you break it down to cost per session.  Completely worth it, in my opinion. I loved all of Damon's boot camp workouts. You can tell he has experience as a personal trainer because he knows what he's doing and his workouts really do work! I never knew there were so many things that you do with just one band or ball! In just one month, I can tell that I've gotten stronger and fit, which has helped me feel more confident about my first biathlon. From Day 1, the team made me feel welcome and helped me fit right in. Everyone is so friendly and nice, and encourages each other to try harder. I was able to push myself even when the weather was not that great for exercising because I knew the team would be there. I liked that the class was small because I was able to get to know everyone and get personal attention for adjustments to correct movements. I don't mind going to the gym, but I would much rather exercise outdoors with music. I loved the location at Ala Moana Beach Park, where you get to see the sun set while you workout. It does get dark once the sun sets, but with good music and an awesome team+instructor, there's nothing to worry about! I highly recommend Team Move's boot camp for anyone ready for a challenge! My yoga experience with Team Move was an incredibly positive one. Even though I have been practicing yoga for on and off for a number of years, I still have a bit of anxiety when practicing in foreign places and with different instructors with different classmates. Team Move, however, was not intimidating at all. Lauren did not carry a pretentiousness that some yoga instructors have and she exhibited a beautiful practice without making me feel like it was unachievable. She has a very calm presence about her, making me feel at ease. This made it easier to practice yoga - especially in a public setting. I enjoyed that the yoga practice had both traditional and non-traditional sequences. Non-traditional sequences aided in the holding of poses that are traditional. Everything was explained very well and adjustments were made almost every time I thought in my head "boy, I wonder if my alignment is off?" Also, Magic Island is a surprisingly peaceful place to practice yoga. It is challenging to keep focus with distractions at times, but this adds even more to the practice of yoga and awareness. I think it is the perfect place. More...

It was pouring buckets in Kailua, so I sent an email to make sure that the event was still on! Thanks to Emi's quick response, I made it over the Pali with time to spare (which I spent eating half of a banana, post check-in). The boot camp was paced quickly and kept us, well, moving along! Being partner-oriented, the camp allowed for different types of exercises than I am used to -- which I found challenging, but in a good way. (Lateral movement and hand-eye coordination, I am looking at you!)The yoga portion was also great, and I fortunately brought a beach towel, as I was wearing a white shirt. (Note to self: next time, bring a DARKER towel since mine now has grass stains/battle scars.) I love to exercise and to try new things! Waking up early on a weekend being one of them. I have noticed that I am not very good at yoga as I have done yoga more frequently over the past couple of months. It really is not my forte, but I enjoy doing it because it allows me to get stronger in ways that I'm not used to. I enjoy unfamiliar pain and using muscles in ways that I don't normally do.Half of the class was various exercise drills and other half was yoga. Both were really great at getting your heart rate up either with exercise drills or uncomfortable yoga poses. I felt like a kid again doing with some exercises that I had not done since elementary school. At the end we were able to chow down on bananas and fruit snacks and there was even a burpee contest! I didn't participate, but it was fun seeing who could do 5 burpees the fastest. The winner got a $50 gift certificate for classes! At the end some lucky individuals were given T-shirts and I was one of them. Bootcamp in the rain? Sure, sounds like fun!  The clouds were holding while everyone signed in, but as we started the icebreaker, it began to drizzle. Maybe it was the extra challenge we needed after introducing our new friends' favorite exercises and cheat foods, to take our minds off of the cardio workout ahead of us. Led by Team Move trainers, partner exercises commenced! High knees in bands, ball tosses back and forth across the field while shuffling, jumping jacks, squats, pushing your partner across the field and some balancing act where we were trying to topple each other over! After the cardio portion, we wound down with a session of yoga. By no means was it easy! Push-ups, planks, chatarangas to down dogs, crescents, warriors and some other body contorting poses. Strength, balance and concentration, nothing to scoff at!And if that wasn't enough, we all received a two week free pass to Team Move workouts, so that we could continue the 'fun'! Spend my not-so-lazy Sunday morning working out at Ala Moana Beach park with Team Move Hawaii! With all workouts outdoors, we spent the first half doing warm ups and resistance exercises in the rain. It was a nice way to keep our body temperature low while we got our hearts racing! Each of us was paired with a non-Elite and I had the chance to meet the wonderful Melanie N.! She's a runner and in awesome shape, so I had to do my best to keep up! Afterward, we did yoga which consisted of a lot of stretching and lunges. Funny enough, I take yoga classes with Daniel at my gym, so I had no trouble following his directions. Typical of Hawaii weather, after heavy downpour, the clouds dispersed and the bright sun came out! It was nice to be able to soak up some sun during the more calming portion of the workout. Rain or shine...Yelp Kicks Butt!  It was drizzling while I was on my way to Ala Moana Beach Park and gray clouds hung over our meeting site.  As always, when we checked in with our app, Maka was there to offer us some awesome Yelp schwag (water bottles or sweat bands).  Thanks Maka!  As soon as we started our ice breaker, the rain started coming down.  Damon was absolutely right when he said the rain would be a blessing as soon as we began our workout.  Emi usually has us do quick ice breakers but this time, it wasn't our usual hit and run.  This ice breaker allowed us to have the chance to know each other a little better.  We paired up and shared our favorite type of workout and then shared our favorite guilty pleasure or diet breaker.  I had the pleasure of being paired with Adam from Team Move and after we were done sharing, we had to introduce our partner and his or her favorites to the rest of the group.I was stoked to see a lot of familiar faces.  Yes, lots of Yelp Elites and in addition to Adam, he was joined by Danny and Damon from Team Move.  Danny also teaches Yoga at 24 Hour Fitness Kapiolani and I haven't been able to make it to his class lately but it was awesome having him as one of our instructors.  Damon and I go waaaaaay back to high school.  I won't mention how far back, lol!Now when we hear the term "boot camp" we automatically think of yelling, push-ups and mean instructors.  There were a few push-ups at this boot camp but no yelling and no mean instructors what so ever.  Team Move was great and they also provided modified versions to accommodate all of the fitness levels.  The first half of the class was with a partner.  We worked with resistance bands, balls and our body weight.  We pushed each other to work hard...literally!  There were two exercises where we pushed on each other for resistance and balance.  It was awesome; no boundary bubbles at this event! The second half of the class was a lot of yoga with Danny.  About half of us neglected to bring full sized towels or mats so we ended up lying on the damp and partially muddy ground.  By the end of the sequence, I had leaves stuck to my clothes and hair.  The yoga portion turned out to be a bit more challenging for me than the first half.  it was apparent that I hadn't attended yoga with Danny for a while.  It didn't help that he make us do 75 crunches towards the end but that gave me all the reason to reward myself with something sweet later in the day.  All in all, I had a great workout.  Sweaty selfies were encouraged as Team Move had a contest going on for the best selfie and the winner got a gift certificate.  They also added a burpee contest to end the class and also passed out 2-week passes for their programs and some of us were lucky to leave with their anniversary t-shirt.  Thanks for your generosity and a great workout Danny, Damon and Adam!  Emi and team provided us with Mott's fruit snacks and bananas as post workout snacks.  Another fantastic YKB event for the books, thanks again Maka, Emi and Team Move! High knees, pushing your partner across the field while he/she pushes you back, running sideways while throwing a ball, mimicking your partner do squat, jumping jacks or side steps. .. it doesn't sound so bad.  But when Team Move says to bring your knees higher, let's go for another minute, squat lower, one more round, your heart rate shoots through the roof and you are wishing those 30 second breaks were 5 minutes. It was a great bootcamp workout followed by what I would call "active" yoga.  The yoga classes I have done in the past generally make you hold a position for some time.  The yoga taught by Danny had a lot more movement, which was nice.   The yoga session was wrapping up and I thought it was time to just lay there, instead we start an intense abs workout ---situps and planks.  And push ups....  BURN is the word.  My abs (particularly the obliques!) and back are still burning the following day.  It was a great way to start a Sunday! I can be a bit of an introvert, but everyone (as always) was really nice :) We did a sort of circuit training by providing resistance to a partner as they tried to push their way across the park. Keeping my Sunday morning open for a workout.  Doing 75 crunches in 90 seconds.  Doing a moderate workout in the rain.  Is something wrong with me? Hell NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!This is my second ever Yelp Kicks Butt Event and I enjoyed myself.  Why?  Not only was I able to challenge myself, I was also able to meet up with my fellow Yelpers and suffer with them!  :PUpon check-in at 845am, we were greeted my Maka K. who welcomes you with a warm smile.  After signing your life away I got my free schwag (water bottle) and started to socialize with other Yeeps who I have become to know better.Today we had about two dozen Yeeps show up and were given a welcome by the instructors (Damon and Daniel) from Team Move Hawaii as well as our CM Emi H..  For today's icebreaker we had to partner with someone who we didn't know and ask them about what exercise they enjoy and what do they like to eat as their guilty pleasure.  Had the pleasure of meeting Michelle L. who enjoys Body Combat at 24 Hour Fitness and Baskin and Robbins mint chocolate chip ice cream (***DROOL***).Next we split up into 2 groups and worked with instructor Damon who had us do various exercises.  It started to rain but it didn't slow us down.  It actually felt kinda good!  Unfortunately for me, I was the "odd ball" as I had no one to pair with.  So I had Damon and felt pressured to give it my best and boy, did I really get my heart rate up and break a sweat! After doing a series of workouts we then worked with instructor Daniel who did yoga with us.  Not much really a fan of yoga, I tried my best to keep up as I require perhaps more time than others to follow the steps and not that flexible.  We had to spread out so I was at the extreme end where I ended up baking in the sun!At the end we were given some treats of fruit gummies and bananas.  They also announced the winners of today's contest of posting the most unique selfies where they won $50 gift certificates to Team Move Hawaii.  There was also a burpee contest which I gladly participated but didn't win.  My personal trainer at the Y has me doing 15 burpees at the end of each workout session so I am used to it.  As a matter of fact, I kind of enjoy it now.  As a consolation I did walk away with a commemorative Team Move Hawaii t-shirt!!!  We were also all given a complimentary 2-week pass for Team Move Hawaii. In closing, I would like to thank Damon, Daniel, Emi, Maka and the other Yelpers who came out to make this a fun event on a Sunday morning in the rain!!! My favorite phrase of the day "There's no such thing as girly push-ups because women can do just as much as men can" -Damon Hell Yeah! Yelp gave us the opportunity to bring sexy back again, this time at a Yelp Kicks Butt with Team Move Hawaii! Prior to this, I've never done a boot camp, and I was a little scared...I mean, my cardio level is practically zero! I'm always down for a new type of workout, especially since I'm trying to find new ways to get fit. To tell you the truth, I was actually a little hesitant to go this morning. All I saw was the rain outside, and my bed sounded a lot more comforting than working out on the grass in the rain. HOWEVER, I forced myself to get up and get my ass moving for a good Sunday morning workout. (P.S. Thanks Malia H. for letting me be your +1!!!) For the icebreaker, my partner was Danny, who was our awesome yoga instructor! Thank him for the awesome workout with some French fries (from McDonald's only) later on!! The workout started with the Team Move workout which was all done with a partner. Resistance bands, follow the leader, ball tossing, balancing on one foot while trying to push your partner down and more! It was so fun and just great, especially having the lovely Malia as my partner. It was a good workout, and I could tell everyone was having fun, laughing and smiling. Then came yoga. I really really really liked the yoga. I'm usually really picky about yoga since I don't really like the slow, just stretch type, but I really enjoyed this yoga. Next time, I need to remember to bring a mat. Lying down in the grass when it's been raining isn't exactly...comforting. Especially when I see red ants crawling around me. But I still really enjoyed the yoga!! Thank you Damon, Danny, and Team Move for the awesome awesome workout, as well as the bananas, fruit snacks and the drinks to keep us hydrated. Wooooooo!  Nothing more refreshing than getting some exercise on a Sunday morning!I had the awesome luck of being able to attend this event, as "Yelp Kicks Butt" ranks high up there in favorite Yelp events!  This month we got to work out with Team Move Hawaii.  Sadly the weather was being a bit fussy, but no matter, rain or shine, what matters is that everyone who attended made the effort to go out and work out!  Seeing as I am a person who works out in solitude, working out with a group from time to time is a breath of fresh air.  Seeing others with the drive to get fit makes me happy! After an introductory ice-breaker, we all split into two groups and partnered up.  the group I worked with started with resistance exercises using the other person.  You and your partner would grab on to each other's shoulders and one would try to push forward while the other tries to put resistance on your progress.  Of course, once you reached one end, the roles switched. The groups switched, we then got to work with a resistance band, where one person pulls the band around the other person's waist and that person does high knees while trying to go forward.  Again, roles switched.  Then after that, groups switched again! This time, you and your partner would shuffle a short distance while tossing a ball back and forth.  Pretty easy stuff for me.  Back and forth, then the groups switched.  Back to the resistance band, one person would be shuffling back and forth, and after a while, the roles switch.Moving on!  I was picked to help demonstrate the next exercise, mimicking.  Between three moves (jumping jacks, squats, shuffling), one person would be the leader by randomly doing each of the three moves for any amount of time they wish, and the partner would follow.  After a while, roles would be switched. That would end the heavy cardio part!  Plank exercises came up next.  I don't mind holding plank (thank P90X for that), so it wasn't that bad.  Some push-ups were thrown in as well.  Oh I know the pain everyone else was feeling all to well upon hearing people say "burn!"  We went into the Yoga portion of the boot camp!  If it wasn't for P90X3, I would have been totally lost in this portion.  Thankfully a lot of the moves were familiar enough for me.  Very little problem for me, but I can imagine the pain those who were lacking in flexibility were feeling.I thought we were done, but nope!  Ab exercises.  The only portion of the boot camp I actually struggled with (and for me to struggle... yeah).  75 crunches in 90 seconds can be quite brutal.  Once we got through with that, a few more stretching/breathing exercises followed and ended the boot camp.Afterwards, a few lucky Instagram Yelpers won $50 gift certificates from Team Move Hawaii and a few others won t-shirts!  One day, I'll will something, haha.  All in all, it was an awesome experience and it makes me happy to see others willing to kick butt!  Thanks to Danny, Damon, and the rest of Team Move Hawaii, as well as Emi and Maka! When someone says to bring a towel, I guess it's better to bring a full-sized one, instead of a face towel. It was raining in the beginning of the event, so we all got nicely drenched. The face towel was actually quite useful for wiping the rain and sweat of my face. Then I had to toss it aside since it just got in the way of doing the yoga portion of the event. You will be remembered! Just like the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy says, never leave your home without a towel. The weather gods were a bit schizophrenic. Once the rain was done, the sun decided to show it's face for a while, right when we were all lying done in a yoga pose facing the sky. I'm already brown skinned, but I guess it won't hurt having a darker complexion. It did help in drying off the sweat and residual rain water from our clothes though. We went through two exercise routines, the first half consisting of cardio and calisthenics type workouts, with the second half being an introduction to yoga. You gotta watch out for the trainers though, since they'll tell you you're almost done, meaning you have 15 more minutes to go, lol.I felt like Gollum from The Lord of the Rings, because every time we felt the burn from exercising, we were told to yell out BURN. It burns, it burns us my precious. Gollum. So, this Yelp Kicks Butt event was brought to you by TEAM MOVE HAWAII and your friendly neighborhood Yelp Hawaii team. It's always fun to hang out with the cool kids, especially when they're sweating along with you. More...

Great start to my week! The boot camp instructors were easy to follow and good fun! They were easy on those people having a hard time (like myself ). Small gifts like a yelp wrist band or a water bottle were offered just for checking-in at this event. They also provided bananas and fruit gummie-bear like snacks for everyone. The yoga course was my favorite. The instructor explained each move thoroughly and clear. My experience today was awesome! More...

Team Move ROCKS, and here's why:  (1) Group classes -- Each week Damon puts together a different workout, so I'm constantly challenged and never bored.  And even though our group is comprised of folks at different fitness levels, all of us are huffing and puffing at the end.  Everyone motivates each other, and there is no way I could get this level of workout on my own.  (2) Yoga -- I almost don't want the word to get out, because there is nothing better than the small class we have overlooking the water at sunset.  It's so nice to be outside instead of in a stuffy studio crammed with people.  I was never a "yogi," but Danny makes the moves understandable and fun. (3) Personal training -- Damon puts so much thought into these workouts and tailors them to your individual needs.  I was at first intimidated to have one-on-one time, but my worries were put to rest at my first session.  I now look forward to getting these sessions in.     Overall, I've been a client for the last year and a half, in which I've seen my energy level increase and it's helped me to become a much more physically active person even outside of the classes.  I now bike and run on off days and just generally enjoy being physically active.  The money I spend for Team Move is a bargain for all these benefits the classes have given me. Damon's boot camps are awesome. They are very challenging and really push you to get in shape, but there are always modifications to the workouts for those of different fitness levels. I will say to watch what you eat on the day of boot camp, you will be pushed to the point where it will want to come up if you eat the wrong things. The variety of the workouts is really impressive, it challenges your core, balance, anaerobic and aerobic fitness. I go to the Magic Island boot camp I have a 3 year old son and he plays on the side while we work out, talk about convenience and a beautiful setting to work out as the sun sets. More...

I think it is the perfect place, with an amazing set of instructors who are knowledgable and supportive. More...

This is the first boot camp that I experienced.  I really enjoyed it, but wanted to try some other ones.  Since then, I went to two other boot camp companies.  What I found was that I really love the training, commitment, dedication, and passion that Team Move offers so I came back!  Needless to say, I am back again training with Team Move, and I love it! Team Move, in my opinion, has got to be one of the best boot camp (move camp) fitness companies out there. I have tried other boot camps around the Ala Moana beach park area and they're not as good. I believe Team Move has the most creative exercises and Damon, the head fitness trainer, will surely test you in every single workout. Also, Team Move is the only fitness company that actually uses music to keep you motivated and make it fun! I love how Damon has so much passion for what he does and its contagious. He has inspired me to help others through fitness. Kim, the co-founder of Team Move, also has a great personality. Very friendly and approachable. They made me feel comfortable from day one. Matt and Susan, two great yoga instructors with lots of experience in the field, were also great. If you want to achieve your fitness goals, call Team Move and start today! You won't regret it. I've never attended an outdoor boot class before so I had no idea what to expect. It was definitely a challenge but I felt rejuvenated after the workout. Damon was great. He was highly knowledgeable about the exercises we do and he makes sure each person is getting the attention he/she needs. He is also extremely caring, friendly and hilarious so the workouts are fun and never boring. They also offer yoga classes with Susan and Matt. Kim was just as friendly and she has a million dollar personality. I highly recommend them! More...
