If you need perfect pictures of your little one, then you will so be happy you found Meredith! Not only is she an amazing photographer, but she’s incredible with babies. She knows how to light them up, calm them down, and just get the most incredible shots ever! Highly highly recommended to capture those moments you never want to forget! More...

Q&As

Where to start...there are several...too many actually...but here are the main ones that I see in photographs taken by amateurs and pros (myself included) ...that need to be consistently worked on and kept in mind when shooting. These tips can apply to iphones as well as DSLR or mirrorless cameras.

1. Take lots of photos. Period. “Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst.” -Henri Cartier-Bresson. So true. That's how many it took for me to start seeing results. This theory also applies to day to day or when you're trying to capture "that one perfect shot" in the moment. To give ya some perspective..out of say...100 shots I take in a PS, depending on the conditions, typically I get 10-20 beautiful, magazine-quality ones...30-50 decent ones...the rest is garbage. This. is. why. Wedding Photographers take thousands upon thousands of shots.

2. Understand your angles and experiment. Know which angles are most flattering to your subject. Also try tilting your camera! When appropriate and done correctly...it gives you cool illusions and beautiful results in your photographs. And finally don't be afraid to try different angles...no matter what.

3. LIGHTING LIGHTING LIGHTING. Can't emphasize it enough. Understanding lighting inside and out...how it applies to the camera, the lens, capturing photos and the results...goes a long way. It can take your picture from bland to GLAM.
