I employed Kathy for a small residential attic extension project towards the end of 2016. She initially came to the flat to see if the proposal was viable, and then was commissioned to draw up some plans for our approval, and subsequently to submit to a planning application, which she has now done. Kathy was extremely charming and professional and laid out her terms very clearly. I believe she has integrity as she was clear to point out the limitations of her role and any areas of potential risk for us. I collaborated with Kathy on a number of residential projects at various scales over the last few years. We commissioned Kathy to for consultation and plans for a three bed apartment refurbishment. She was briefed to deliver plans for a layout of a new bathroom and some internal changes to the apartment. She also prepared a Schedule of Works for contractors. The property was in need of complete refurbishment and we commissioned Kathy to do the initial stage work rather than a full service as we decided to manage the build ourselves with the contractors.

We were pleased with Kathy’s work which was considered and efficient. We worked closely with her to develop plans and she was able to develop some initial ideas which we had into a workable plan. The delivery of the plans and schedule of works was all completed on time and Kathy was very communicative and clear with her work. It was helpful to be in both email and phone conversation with her at various stages of the project. In 2015 we commissioned Kathy to redesign our 100sqm flat in Tel-Aviv. The flat was old and needed to be refreshed, the family bathroom and the kitchen needed to be revamped. We met with Kathy from the onset and we did not speak in architectural terms. Kathy managed to perfectly understand our wishes and turned our dream into reality. The bathroom is now a tranquil oasis, the kitchen is an inviting entertaining hub. It reached the point we do not want to leave in the morning. When entertaining, guests find it difficult to leave. The apartment is now serene, tranquil, with a subtle elegance. We are grateful for improving our lives.

We have been working with studio Basheva on the interior design of my new apartment in Brussels for a couple of weeks already. This is our second common project. Studio Basheva is a young office with a lot of fresh ideas, but always rooted in the whole construction process. Kathy, the director, has a passion for fine details and she can always come up with the most elegant solution within the budget, everything is planned ahead and every single part of the building is researched and refined to meet the client specific need.
As an architect myself I used Studio Basheva for the management of some residential projects and commissioned specific and bespoke details for high-end projects.
I always get a very fast response from them, and that is what I look for: the right answer just when I need it. They are very professional and can advise on every phase of the construction, passing the information in a very clear way.

This is an ongoing project. Studio Basheva was asked to design a complete refurbishment of our house, including a new extension, master loft suite and essentially leave only the original walls.
The work from getting planning permissions down to door trims has always been timely, efficient and creative.
Kathy has always made herself available and handled everything in her stride.
We are looking forward to the end of the project and moving into our dream house. If it meets all our expectations then it will be, no small part, due to Kathy and her attention to all the fine details. More...
