What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Thinking makes the biggest impact developing a great photograph: what is wanted; what is the subject; what is the environment of the shoot; how to compose and frame the subject for the maximum impact; what light is available; how to use the camera and lighting to capture the photograph; how much time is available. And as much thinking as possible before the shoot makes the shoot run smoothly...
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
The first question always is "do you know what you want to achieve"? Which leads to a discussion which should lead to a brief for the shoot. Starting with issues such as: style, formality and colour palette. More practical: locations, time, focii of attention, permissions, people, "surprises", weather contingencies and deliverables. And of course budgets.

Creating an image that "wows" the client and exceeds the expectations for the job/
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've created several technological businesses and this is an opportunity to use that knowledge for a more artistic endeavour.
