Only been with Steve for a month or so and I can't recommend him enough. Every session is a push and I never walk away unsatisfied, Steve manages my nutrition at every level including making my meal plans and weekly shopping list and aligns each meal around my life. I haven't had a PT before but after the first consultation with Steve I was confident we would achieve my goals. These were to build muscles, tone up, improve posture and nutrition. We train twice a week with separate work set for me too. I also benefit from 24/7 online support. Already the results are very satisfying, comments from friends also show the training is working, I’d certainly recommend Steve. He is very friendly, supportive and accommodating with training times. Time is precious when you work in busy school with a heavy workload! I realised my focus had been more on my work than on myself, and I needed to redress that balance. Personal Training with Steve has highlighted the importance of exercise, nutrition and 'switching off' from work!I began my journey with a full nutritional analysis and detailed measurements. I wanted to develop core strength and flexibility and Steve tailored stretches and core exercises specifically for my needs. We train multiple times per week in the gym and in the first few months I have seen great results, strengthening my muscle quality (and going down in dress size too!). 10/10 would recommend! I've been training with Steve for around 6 months and never had a personal trainer before that! He has really helped me to improve my posture and mobility issues. Steve is a great personal trainer. At the time, I was a student and therefore I didn't have as much disposable income. However, Steve was flexible enough to allow me to pay in instalments that worked to my budget. Steve was kind and considerate towards my past injuries and made personalised training plans to fit my aims/goals. On top of this, Steve is very personable and easy to talk to which made training easy and enjoyable. Eventually, I felt confident enough to keep training but without the 1-1 guidance of Steve. Once again, Steve was great and wasn't pushy and was actually agreeable to the fact I probably no longer needed 1-1 training. Invaluably, Steve had given me the tools required for long-term training. We moved onto a programme where I would see Steve for 1-1 PT once every 6 weeks, to show me a new training routines which included retaking all my measurements. Steve was fantastic throughout the entire process. I only ended my personal training with Steve because of my move to London, otherwise I would still be training with him and I'm sure under his guidance and support, I would be achieving even more than I have. In June 2014 I decided to look on the Internet to get myself a personal trainer, I was determined to make the effort, but needed guidance along the way. The one person that stood out above the rest was Stephen Gidlow. Once I met him and we had our initial consultation, I explained what I wanted to achieve and Steve explained his training techniques. I now live a radically new lifestyle involving the gym. I see Steve weekly for training sessions; I find this helps me to keep me motivated, I then replicate this standard of training in other sessions set out for me.
Over the years whilst training with Steve I have seen myself dramatically change physically but also noticed a surge in my self-confidence. I started with Steve by contacting him online. From having minimal experience in the gym Steve was able to set up a plan for me to train with him twice a week to reach the goals set out at the beginning. I have since gained experience and increased confidence with training within the gym. Steve is easy to get along with and is very approachable. Q&A

We are what we eat! Our bodies literally are structured and function out of our daily foods we consume and our ability to digest/excrete them. If any of our essential nutriments are lacking our body can't function properly and illness/lethargy will result. This is the main reason I prescribe a wholefoods diet (foods found in their natural state) and minimise any processed nutrient-deprived foods. Our dietary needs are individual and your training goal, daily activity and present condition will dictate the nutrition you require. Exercise is additional stress applied to the body that naturally increases our dietary demands, so someone looking to pursue regular training needs a better diet not worse one.

'you cant train yourself out of a bad diet'

I am passionate about health and fitness, its a subject I have been fascinated with for many years and I'm constantly researching about. This enthusiasm should come through and be imbibed from our first meeting. I feel that you have to life the health and fitness lifestyle in order to teach others.

As well as planning and setting your training routines and nutritional plans, I aim to educate and empower you along the way, so you understand the purpose of what your doing. In our 1-2-1 sessions I'll be demonstrating to you how to execute proper movement patterns correctly, supervising you as you train, giving positive feedback and correction whenever needed to help you get the most out of each session.

As a client of mine your fitness goals will be measured from day 1 and regularly re-assessed throughout your personal training journey. We'll record key metrics such as your body fat percentage, body circumferences, food diaries, cardiovascular health, posture/flexibility and progress photo's if desired. This will allow us to determined your progress and re-evaluate any need changes to your training/lifestyle.

As your coach it is my job to give you all the support you need to achieve your goals and answer any questions you might have on any health and fitness topic!

I have created various email resources on health and fitness which I provide to all my clientele. I also blog on my website and post on my Facebook page on a regular basis.
