Our first visit here today for the giant miniature weekend and it certainly won't be our last. I had 2 very happy boys who loved the whole day and couldn't believe how many engines they could see not to mention getting to ride on a steam train! A brilliant day out at a very well organised and interesting venue. From a very warm welcome on arrival, through all of the great staff we met through the day, it couldn't be faulted. We went on the Santa express today with our family, from my 1 year old to her nanny and all the ages between! Everyone had a fabulously fun day, it was very reasonably priced and lots to do that was free when we got there too. Santa was great and had lots of time for us and all the staff were so friendly. Well done on the first Christmas event, Santa Express. The best (and only, of course ) Father Christmas. He spent lots of time with us and really knew his stuff (well he has been around for a long time! ) the entertainment was great and so were the activities. Also, not packed. We loved every bit and can highly recommend. Just one suggestion.....the elves on the train could tell the adults what to do & where to go when we got there. A Magical experience for my two year old twins and the family (including the train area & toy shop). Congratulations for a brilliant day!! More...

We had a fantastic experience for the santa special, great atmosphere, an entertaining elf in each train carriage, lights, trees and decorations galore, a magical experience. There was a wait to see Santa but the adults queued while the kids wrote a letter to santa in the north pole post office, and then did cookie decorating, so the kids did not notice the queue. All in all a great afternoon. There was also lots of real reindeer and many other things all included. Thank you Statfold and your staff, and Merry Christmas. Excellent trip on the Santa express, very magical. The Elves stay in character even when being asked which football team they support ‘Lapland FC’ excellent! ! Lots to do, decorating the gingerbread men, in Mrs Claus’ kitchen, posting and writing your Santa letter and creating the magic reindeer food, lots, lots more! Instead of being given a gift the children are led into a fantastic toy factory where they can choose from various age appropriate toys! Could do with some fake snow to make it even more magical but that’s being picky! Great value for money More...

I worked as Santa at Statfold Barn Railway on the 24 th and 25 th of November 2018 - the management, staff and customers were quite the friendliest and nicest team of people - an old Santa like me could wish to meet. They brought me enormous joy working as Santa in the Grotto and were so hospitable with many cups of tea and kind offers of refreshment. They are a 5 star business with 5 star staff and are a 5 star attraction......can't wait to return!!!!! More...
