I was interested to read the reviews by freelance contractors to Spectrecom, as I cannot equate their negative feedback in any way with my very positive experience as a client of Spectrecom. I first worked with Spectrecom back in 2004 filming two videos for owners of dogs and cats with diabetes. I can honestly say that the experience given by Andrew and the team back then was extremely positive and professional. So fast-forward to 2018 - when we won a brief to produce a video for a public campaign on companion animal obesity. Spectrecom was the logical choice for the production - and once again we had a professional location crew and editing team. So much so, that when we won the next brief - for a girl and her dog that just love to dance together on the street - we once again commissioned Spectrecom. Again we had very professional service - from the set-build, to the shoot, to the editing. Our own client was delighted, and the video has had many thousands of views on social media. We have recently started working with Spectrecom for our brand films and to date, have created two excellent quality films for us which really did exceed expectation. Even from our first meeting, we were welcomed into the business and shown around the impressive offices, introduced to the different team members and departments to let us know how they work. I recently worked with the brilliant Spectrecom Films on a project for the BBC and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. They were great employers, incredibly friendly, organised and professional. We were tasked with a difficult job - to turn the information our new students need when they first arrive on campus into something fun, exciting, creative and bite-sized. From our first call to Olly - enquiring - to our final email with Chloe - receiving the final cut - the whole team demonstrated that they ‘got’ our brief and - importantly - delivered the vision. Everyone we worked with was as much invested in making our film excellent as we were, and worked extraordinary hard to ensure our upmost happiness with the finished film. UCL worked with Spectrecom to make our most recent "About UCL" video. This is a tricky video to make as we need to represent a complicated organisation to multiple audiences. Spectrecom took the time to understand the complexity and came up with a really strong concept. They continued to be receptive during the development of the director's plan and patient and accommodating during the edit. Kennington studios was a pleasure to work at in March 2015 . We shot a BBC2 quiz show with de-rig Gallery,lighting and sound situated in Kenningtons "studio 2" which worked very well . The staff were very pro active and made us all feel comfortable . They went the extra mile to make things work and achieve what everybody needed.Kennington is very centrally situated (1 stop from Waterloo on the Northern Line) which made travel quick and easy . 'Steve Milton was the Director of Production for our charity video. Steve is a one-off. The whole of the team found him to be brilliantly innovative in getting the best out of our video. He was tireless in his commitment to capture 'those moments' that made the emotional connections - and he did, again and again. Steve, is not your typical back seat Director - he takes personal pride and leads in making sure that everything is nothing short of perfect . Very very rarely do I give wholesome praise - but Steve is the 'wow' factor for his creativity and also his natural ability to enthuse team members and volunteers alike. Our brief was quite tricky. A two minute visual aid explaining what our charity did and how, to encourage people to donate at our charity auction party. The brief was executed with perfection. The presentation video perfectly pitched a level of emotion and inspired people to give. The video was very well received and we raised a phenomenal £14 K on the night. Steve Milton at spectrecom understood our needs and requirements, listened to our idea’s and guided and directed us through the project.
