Not only did I find the most beautiful wedding gown, my husband and his groomsmen were fitted at a affordable price with quality suits, and my bridesmaids and maid of honor dresses were on point too. Great experience. I remembered this Bridal House while driving near the New Haven/North Haven area and decided to give them a call to see if they could squeeze me in for an impromptu Bridal appointment. Fortunately for me they were finishing up with a previous guest and was able to accommodate my visit. While the wife, Kathleen, was finishing up with previous guest, Brian (the husband) took the time to assess my needs and give me a quick tour of their wedding dresses. Needless to say I was extremely impressed with this Bridal House. My wedding is planned for late August and I was getting concerned with the leadtime to order a dress. I provided my price budget and the look/style I felt best would suit me. When Kathleen became free, she immediately starting pulling out dresses for me to try (and most importantly did not waste my time nor theirs in trying to sell me something outside of my price range). I honestly believe I've found my wedding dress. Kathleen suggested I take some time to sleep on it to make sure it was exactly what I wanted (no pressure). She also willngly offered to take pictures of me in the dresses so I'd have visuals to review while making my decision. I will admit that the previous reviews posted regarding this store deterred me from trying out this location initially...I'm very sorry to hear about their orders being delayed. My situation is a bit different as I will not need to order my wedding dress as the dress in the store fit like a glove and no alteration (other than a bustle) is needed. I highly recommend anyone who is getting married to go see Brian and Kathleen. They could not have been more helpful! Picking out the bridesmaid dresses for my wedding was a no brainer. I went to every store and circled back to Special Occasions because their quality of dress had all other stores beat. Not only was their quality amazing, but they were so helpful with even my wedding dress! I have to tell you if you want people who truly care about your special day then go see Special Occasions today!!! They do not control when the bridesmaid dresses are shipped from the factory, but they do everything they can to stay connected and to always keep the Bride in the loop!! I am very happy with their services and recommend all newly engaged couples to go check them out. I had first gone to Special Occasions when I was in high school for one of my friends relatives wedding. I remembered how great we were treated and knew when my special day came that I would have to return. Thank you guys for running an awesome shop!!!! More...
