Now the dust has settled a little and our emotions are back under control, we just wanted to say thank you so, so much for all you did to help make our wedding a success! We had the best day, and you were a big part of making sure that was the case. I can’t tell you what a relief it was to get into our car from the ceremony to the reception and know that we didn’t have to worry about anything for the rest of the day. You did such a fantastic job keeping everything on track and adjusting the schedule as needed, and also in setting up all the little (but important!) details in the morning before everybody arrived. The marquee looked fab, and all the finishing touches were in exactly the right places. And wrangling all our guests into a confetti line must have been quite the challenge, yet it all worked out perfectly... My wife and I were visiting England on our honeymoon from the U.S., and I wanted to surprise her with a bouquet of flowers for a vow renewal, only I told Alexandra the wrong date in my email. And since we were only going to be in that area for a few hours that day, I thought it was a lost cause. Alexandra went well out of her way on a Sunday morning to meet me on my drive back to London so that we could have them, and they were gorgeous. They were so beautiful and the effort to get them to us so impressive that we ignored the suggestion of our flight attendants to throw them out before we got to customs in New York because they thought it would be too much of a hassle. Although we did have to sit in a room with suspected drug smugglers, it was worth it once we got that lovely arrangement back to our home in Nashville. Alexandra was wonderful to work with as our wedding day coordinator. She's highly professional and knowledgeable of all things wedding related and such a lovely person to spend time with! Alexandra was a massive help with planning our timeline for the day. As someone who is not a natural event planner and not prone to details, it was essential that I had someone to help me with all of the things to think about - big and small. Alexandra helped enormously with setting up and coordinating our wedding ceremony, too, which went just as we'd imagined. What do you love most about your job?
The best bit of my job is seeing all the elements come together for a successful event. I love working with clients who like to be really creative with a brief and seeing the guest's reactions when they arrive.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have worked with some pretty high-profile clients in my role as Manager at Sanderson London as well as, demanding CEOs at Ogilvy Advertising. I discovered I had a talent for working under pressure in a fast-paced environment. I call myself a 'Super Organiser' and I genuinely enjoy planning the little details which make an event special but I felt my talents are best suited to working on a project basis and to have control over my own destiny. The combination of having a creative strength with a business brain is a real asset.
