Q&As

Helping students and/or clients choose the best words in the best order, whether verbally or in written form, appeals to me most. The variety and flexibility of my skills makes every day working as a freelancer challenging.

Having taught in a sixth form college for over twenty years, I was ready for a change! I love teaching but I'm now working more flexibly. I have a significant number of transferable skills which I'm using in new ways. For example, I write for an educational publisher, 're-imagining' classic texts for learners whose first language isn't English.

Above all, I'm professional and communicative. I get the job done, I do it well and I deliver it on time. I impress the necessity and value of this attitude on my students.

Services

I have a wealth of experiencing in assistant pre-university students with their UCAS statements by editing and critiquing their drafts.

I have five years experience as a voiceover artist, either working from own studio. I can voice your texts and offer hints on the use of language.

I have been a sixth form college teacher for over twenty years, specialising in English Literature and Drama A Level.

I have also been tutoring GCSE year 11 students since the new specifications were implemented in 2016.

I am DBS accredited.
