Our Fail-Safe go to place when we just want to pick up some wraps. Their falafel is awesome as well.
Ordered the chicken gyro platter, would recommend and come back. I would recommend using there hot spicy sauce it's really good but can be spicy so be careful.
Their gyros are the best
Very good food. I honestly have had better ground beef kabobs but these were in the top 10% of all that I've ever had. Service was kinda slow (took 21 minutes to get my meal and I was one of only two customers). Luckily I was not in a rush because I was also watching the Laker game. More...
Loved their food. Have great Vegetarian options :) also my family loved the chicken Kabobs and wraps. Quite place to enjoy food with your love ones :)
I love this place! Luckily I live down the street :D Honestly anything from here is good, I've tried many plates & tend to order something different every time I come. Great food quality, love their gyros! They also have a great chicken Caesar salad that I almost always crave! Only thing they can improve on is adding more garlic to the garlic fries, it's more garlic grease than actual garlic chunks More...
Food is good, reasonably priced. Close to where we live but takes a while for the food to be served, depending on the time of day.
Pretty good food! The falafel are decent size. The chicken skewer is a lot of meat. The hummus is a little thin for my taste, but still good. I thought it was a little bit pricey, but nothing crazy. Lots of space to eat inside and outside. Located in a nice area. I would go back! More...
This place is the best. They have great service and came directly to me to ask what they forgot to ask.
Great place great food and great staff
It was pretty good. Almost up there w Mykonos.
Great casual family owned restaurant located in Evergreen Village Square. Always love me some Mediterranean food and I was very happy with my meal. Walk in, order at front, menu with pics are posted on the wall.We ordered the half gyro salad and grilled chicken gyro plate.Enjoyed the gyro salad- simple spring mix greens with cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, thinly sliced gyro meat, and yogurt dressing. There was a good amount of meat with every bite of salad and it was flavorful, not bland. The chicken gyro plate was yummy. Gyro chicken over rice and drizzled with yogurt dressing , came with a small side of salad and hummus/pita. Restaurant is located on a corner and has plenty of space for large groups or parties. Ambience is quiet.Bus your own table.Had a great experience, would like to try other items on menu! More...
It's already hard enough to find Mediterranean food in this area, so when I saw Sohpies pop up, I crossed my fingers and hoped it was good. .. and it is! I've only had take out, but I'm thrilled to have this place around! I love the gyro wraps here. It's also pretty affordable! I'm now pumped theres a Mediterranean place that I can call one of go tos in Evergreen. More...
Tge food was great, the atmosphere was awesome and great and friendly staff I strongly recommend this place
Very friendly. Great food. Would definitely go again
The restaurant itself is quite spacious, so there was plenty of seating to choose from. When we walked in, we were able to order right away at the counter. We had to do a quick wipe down for our own table, and we waited a little over 20 minutes for our items to come out. There weren't a lot of people here so my only concern would be the wait time for those who come in if the restaurant gets a little busier. We ordered the Grilled Chicken Gyro, Sophie's Chicken Salad, and Sophie's Fries (w/ feta cheese & seasoning). The chicken was a little more on the dry end, though their sauce/dressing made up for it. Overall, the food was good for a reasonable price. Since this place is conveniently located at the Evergreen Village Square, it is definitely a plus to be able to take a nice stroll after our meal! More...
At Sophie's right mow waiting for my order which is skewered chicken and garlic fries.($10) order at the counter, pay and sit down. They will bring you the food. If you are in a rush, this isn't the place for you! If so, I recommend you call ahead! It's worth it!! Love the tender chicken & crispy garlic fries, but there are many choices. Chicken, beef, lamb wraps seem to be a bi hit here, so if you're in the mood for a killer Mediterranean food experience, Sophie's it! Nothing fancy here- just excellent food! More...
Love the lamb shank!! The lamb is so tender and falls off the bone. The gravy is delicious and it all goes well with the rice.
Food is tasty, but the kabobs can be better.
Sophie's never disappoints with their fresh, high-quality Mediterranean cuisine. Their signature Grilled Chicken Gyro plates are always cooked just right, perfectly complimented with their signature white sauce. For those who like the extra kick, the hot sauce never goes amiss as well. At Sophie's, you can tell that they truly care about all their ingredients and the dishes that they create. I've tried the Lamb Shank, the Lamb & Beef Gyro, and the Butter Chicken / Chicken Mehkani and I've ended up satisfied with each and every dish. Though some may complain about the wait time, Sophie's doesn't market itself as a fast food place—it is a restaurant. Quality food takes time and care, and Sophie's definitely makes it worth to wait. They cater to both dine-in customers and to take-out, with additional options of ordering ahead through phone, their website, EZCater, Doordash, and a few other common platforms. In terms of the environment and the ambience, Sophie's is pretty plain. It's a restaurant with a varied amount of tables and layouts to accommodate both large and small groups. There are a few TV screens set up for those looking for a quieter ambiance while still being able to keep up with the latest sports and whatnot. They do have a playlist that's stuck on the same instrumental loops over and over again, but eh, it's peaceful for the most part. I'm here for the food, not the decor and the setting. All in all, Sophie's Mediterranean Grill excels at what it does—in providing high quality Mediterranean, Greek, Middle Eastern & Indian Cuisine. The restaurant has great selection of Mediterranean Cusine. The Minced Chicken Kabab are too good. Don't forget Baklava, they are done perfect with right balance of sweetness.
I'm so glad to have this place near my house. The food is delicious and generous portions. I've tried the lamb and beef gyro and the grilled chicken rice plate. The restaurant is quite big with plenty of seating. More...

I never planned on going to this place ever until a coworker invited me to go. I have been returning ever since. How can you say no to naan. My go to is the falafel plate. It's so good that there are times that I crave them. More...
Love this place! Their portions fill you up and they're very generous on the meat and rice you get. My favorite of all time is definitely the Lamb and Beef Gyro plate.
A great option if you live close by. The place is nice and spacious. The Biryani Bonjon is amazing (if you like eggplant). Also recommend their rice. Their hummus is usually pretty good as well, but last time it ended up a little watery -- I'm giving it the benefit of an off-day. Overall, I really recommend this place, especially if you're as big a fan of Mediterranean food as I am, and am looking forward to trying more of their items. More...
Super good Mediterranean restaurant. It's not usually crowded when I go, so that's always a plusThey give really big portions at reasonable prices. I love their butter chicken plate with rice, salad, and pita bread. It's a really good place to go if you're in evergreen village square. Service is also very nice and fast They also have take out options and doordash! More...
Highly recommend this restaurant to dine in or take out. Try the beef koobideh with rice and salad, the chicken biryani and the bolanis (potato pastry appetizers). The chicken lemon soup is also very good. More...
Sophie's was delicious. I really enjoyed the beef and lamb gyro along with the garlic fries. The meat is thinly sliced and is bursting with flavor! The garlic fries could use more garlic, but next time I will just ask for extra garlic. I would also like to give the kabobs a try. Place is really quiet and not very busy but I saw a couple people come in for pick up so I'll probably call ahead the next time I'm in the mood for some Mediterranean (: More...
Might premature to write a review after one visit but I was impressed with the service, food, and the decor. I'm not a huge fan of Mediterranean food but they just gained a regular customer.
They have the best kababs
Gyros, yum haven't had one for awhile. Nice to have on this side of town. Haven't tried the other selections yet, but should be good too. Closed on Sunday's. Update the chicken kebob is good, the soup is a little spicy but good, and salad is right on taste. So all selections taste good, you can't go wrong here. More...
ReallyHalf there are some nice family owned restaurants in evergreen still. I was going to go to Taco Bell the saw this place so I tried it. 1:30 pm on a weds. The huge restaurant was quiet with a few students after school. I got a falafel pita, Sophie's fries and baklava Falafel was made fresh. It doesn't come with much hot sauce so ask for some extra. Taste was fine. Pita tasted soft and fresh. I'd get it again and am glad something like this is served in evergreen. Sophie's fries: French fires dusted with some spices and covered in feta cheese. I wish the fries were crispier. It was ok, might not order it again. Baklava- supposedly made fresh. It was very tasty, not dry, and not overly sweet. I would order again. Come visit and support local restaurants. More...
Just picked up and had an awesome dinner from Sophie's grill.. I got a falafel plate and they madd falafel right infront of me. The salad and hummus and the pita are really good and fresh... I also ordered a baklawa for dessert which is hands down AWESOME!!! I totally recommend this place... people should go here often.. More...
The place is actually meant to socialize. It has a very unique and good vibe in itself. Not only the vibe is amazing, but the food is also good. The food I ordered tasted so good, that I would love to visit this place again so that I can taste other things as well. More...
I am updating my review for this restaurant.I have been here many times and this has become my go to place for wraps, kebab plates for middle eastern food and it's near my house. The food has improved a lot. The service is top notch. I would recommend gyro wraps, kofta kebab, Chapli kebabs here. More...
I love this place. Their lamb and beef gyro is one of my favs!! And that white sauce is sooo good. I preferthis place over halal guys and nick the great.
Great food, nice location
A pretty underestimated and often overlooked place because the Curry Pizza place is right next door. Still this is one of my favorite Mediterranean quick eats around here! My top three dishes are:Chicken GyroHamburgerFerni (rice pudding dessert; often sold out)It's quite tasty and appetizing. The problem for me is I don't feel full with one, so I order the other. Still, for two of the gyros/burgers, it's around $13, which ain't a bad deal! More...
A nice local Mediterranean spot with a friendly staff to help with a pretty good menu. Lots of delicious vegetarian options for groups with variety of tastes.
Great food, and very friendly people.
I went there yesterday for the first time, heard about it from a friend. I ordered a Veggie Burger with Falafel and a Potato Bolani. The Veggie Burger was greatThe Bolani was good.People behind the counter were really polite.Loved the place :) More...
Delicious food! This was my first time here. The staff was really friendly. I ordered the chicken gyro plate and I was not disappointed. It was so good, I forgot to take a pic. My fiance got the veggie makhani plate. Also bomb! I highly recommend this spot. More...
Love Sophie's and all the fresh ingredients they add to their meals. I recommend! I don't live close so I door dash it and it's always great.
Tasty and affordable food that you can eat in two sittings. Each entree we got was roughly 10$.The dining space is big so you can definitely bring a group of friends.
This is one of the best Mediterranean restaurants I have ordered food from. Their Beryani and Kebabs are outstanding. Service is excellent. Special mention. Order the Borani Bonjon. You won't be disappointed. Will definitely order from them again. More...

Amazing food definitely 5 stars. Ordered on DoorDash hot and fresh when delivered. Definitely would even consider catering events using them.
This place is awesome. Such tasty food, great portions and a surprisingly low price. I don't know where you can get a gyro for 6. 99, much less a tasty one. Every item we have had from there, 5-6 total, has been filled with flavor. I can't wait to try it all over time. The space is large, family friendly and clean. The staff are very kind. If I lived closer, I would definitely make this a weekly place to order food from. More...
The cozy atmosphere, great food and beautiful scenery

Me encanto cada platillo ( Garlic fries, gyro y fettuccine alfredo) cada uno con un gran sabor muy distintivo y muy buen servicio al cliente
The chicken gyro is absolutely incredible. The staff is always friendly and welcoming and the food never takes too long! Love coming here every week!
Woah! Way better than I expected. Was excited to eat here since it first opened but I never got a chance due to college. I got the falafel pita and, since I'm vegan, replaced the tzatziki sauce with hummus. (In other establishments I normally get tahini sauce with my pita but they didn't recommend that here.) But luckily the hummus tastes super good! Super friendly staff too. Would recommend if you're in the area looking for a bite. More...
The food is great and healthy. The service is friendly. Even kids love the food here.
Wanna impress your date? Take them here. The food is amazing, the staff are friendly, and the decor looks pretty nice. Great option for local Mediterranean food. If your date doesn't like this place, that's a red flag and you should dump them on the spot. More...
Favorite Mediterranean place nearby! Ive been here a few times before, and the food is delicious!!!! Pretty good value for the price, I got the chicken kofta-- ended up saving half for later. I was very impressed by the service as well!! the owner/staff provides the best of service every time, and you can really tell how much care they put into preparing the food. The restaurant itself is spacious and very clean. Great service, great food, great quality!! Definitely will be coming back for more. More...

Great Food and Friendly Staff!
Was a quiet environment, and cool inside to get away from the summer heat. Like that they don't overpack the place with tables and chairs. Staff was very polite and helpful.I got a gyro, and added garlic fries and a drink. The gryo was delicious, with soft warm bread that has a wonderful texture to the outside. The fries didn't disapoint: I almost finished them first. Between the two items there was some hint of spiciness I could taste but couldn't place. No matter. It was good. Fountain drink to wash the whole thing down. Great experience. More...
Best Mediterranean food ever! I love the falafel, the chicken biryani and the veggie makhani! Those are my favorites, but all the food we've tried has also been great! Best part is when they cater! Oh man! I love the harvest salad and the bolani! Also, Moe and Osh provide the best customer service ever! Thank you so much for the wonderful food and awesome service! More...
Everything you've read is true and then some! They have plenty to choose from. They also have spaghetti for the non Mediterranean lovers, as if that even exists. The food is all spectacular. It's fresh, and seasoned to perfection. I especially love the combination plate -- it comes with hummus, salad, rice and pita bread. What's there not to love. If you're looking for Mediterranean food in the Evergreen area, look no further. More...
I've been here twice now, and this is a pretty solid Mediterranean place in this area. The first time it was almost closing time for them, so the order had to be to go. I got the chicken skewer plate and it was really good. I do think the potion was a bit on the smaller side, lots of rice but not as much chicken. Came with a side of hummus which was tasty. The second time, I got the chicken gyro. Be warned it is a bit of a messy eat, but otherwise tasty. The spicy reed sauce they give isn't truly very spicy. It's almost like a sweet & spicy. More...
Delicious food. We loved the lamb shank and chicken kebabs. Service was great and the food camp out quickly!
My family and I were so sad and disappointed when we heard Moe and his family no longer owned Caspian Grill in the Villages. When we heard the news they opened up Sophie's grill, we were thrilled. Our family always orders their hummus (a staple when eating at Meditterain restaurants) and bulani (made with potatoes and spices) - honestly, my favorite! We always order the chicken Cesar salad and harvest salad. They make a homemade Cesar dressing which is incredible. I often will crave their salad for their dressing. In addition, we've tried their chicken briyani, lamb shank, Alfredo pasta, butter chicken, kofta, and falafel. Honestly, you can't go wrong here. Big Ups to all the family business out there, their great service and impeccable food. More...
Just had falafels from this place and they were really good! Will come back to try more stuff.
Sophie's Grill is a great addition to the restaurants in Evergreen. I really enjoy the gyro plates. Lots of food and everything tasty. I usually am not a fan of hummus but Sophie's is an exception. Very tasty. I would prefer that when eating in, they would use real plates and cutlery. Plastic cutlery and paper plates is ok for takeout but not for eating in. Nice to have a great variety of restaurants now in the Village Square. More...
They have decent prices here . Everything I've try has been pretty good. We really like the gyros. The decor is not the greatest. It looks more like a cafeteria. They also use paper plates and plastic utensil so it feels cheap. But I am here for the food. More...
This owners of Sophie's are the previous owners of Caspian Village. The new location in Evergreen Village Square is lovely. The food was delicious, portions are generous and prices are fair. We look forward to the outdoor seating when the warm weather comes. More...
The wrap is goooooooood. And the kabobs? Mmmmmmmmmmm
A bit of a wait after you order but pretty good food locally.
Nice place for halal foods.
Good casual dining and food.
First timer, Delicious food! We'll be back! ... and back again!
Wow! How about that? So many food choices to please the family. We had lasagna, butter chicken, and greek food around our table in the same restaurant! Lots of space, friendly staff, and a lovely square to walk after the meal. Our favortites: the chicken gyro, gyros plate, and saucy lasagna (enough for two meals!) We couldn't get enough of the hummus and pita bread appetizer. Check it out! More...
Very good kebobs and wraps
TASTY DELICIOUS. DON'T HAVE WORDS TO DESCRIBE MY FOOD.Tried Chapli Kabab burger and coke. Reminded me so much of home. Amazing food and service!!
Family owned & operated. The veggie mahkani is deliciously addictive. Toba was at the register and was very helpful and the sweetest young lady. The atmosphere is friendly & welcoming. This is the Absolute Best MEDITERRANEAN food we have tasted in san jose combined with service that treats you like cherished family. More...
Excellent humus and kabobs at reasonable price; interior decor could be improved.
Good food. Great price. Quick service.
I like it a lot.
Great food, reasonable prices, cooked fresh to order. Casual, order at counter, they bring food to table. Disposable flatware and dishes not my favorite but probably help keep prices down.
Their lamb shank and chapli kebabs are our all time favorite. I tried their Alfredo recently and man I loved it!!
This friendly neighborhood spot features the triumvirate of Mediterranean cuisine: falafel, gyros and shawarma. All the meats served at Achilles are Halal—Arabic for delicious—and their signature heart-shaped falafel are crispy and flavorful. Pick a style from the menu (i.e.,plate, wrap or sandwich), top it and then pick your protein. Prices vary ($8-$12). More...
Great food with flexible options. I usually don't eat meat but chicken tandoori over here is really tasty and loved everything ordered! 32 usd for 2people. .
Wow I just had two meals delivered and they were on time and the chicken tasted Amazing with the side of hummus!! Good job
I love that this is a family place. Every time I come in here one of the family members are working and it makes for such a "down home" experience. The owner Mo and his son Ash are some of the nicest people on planet earth who value hard work. The social aspect isn't what gives this place 5 stars, it's the food. It's always fantastic. Every dish, every time. In busy nights there can be a wait but that just means the quality is high. I try to stop in every time I'm in the village square. Stop in, I promise you will not be disappointed! More...
Everyone is sleepin on this place. The food is really tasty. Me and my friends didn't expect much and wanted to try something new. We were all pleasantly surprised--their meat is really delicious and flavorful. We had a chicken gyro and a beef/lamb plate. Everything on the plate complemented each other. Overall, a yummy experience. We would come back again! More...
This was delicious and a mouth full of flavor. The place was spacious, clean, and very welcoming. I had the chicken gyro with all the fixings. The red sauce was a bit too spicy for my taste, but the cooks did not over use the sauce, which made me appreciate the dish even more. More...
Clean, family friendly restaurant in evergreen village square. Our food was tasty and freshly cooked. I got lamb shack but my daughter eat most of it as she thought it was super tasty. We will be back soon.
Food is still bomb. Haven't tried something I didn't find good, a number of dishes are great too! They have a great eggplant plate. All my friends have liked it. Good prices, solid quality, what's not to love? More...
Decided to check this place since I've been looking for a Mediterranean restaurant that was located in the Evergreen area and close to where I live. Went to Sophie's twice the past couple of weeks to get a feel for the place and food. First visit I had the Gyro Beef and Lamb Plate which was good. The second visit I had the Beef Kofta Kebob Plate which was excellent! I'm not too fond of Hummus but their Hummus is great!Service was good on both my visits. Fairly straight toward - you go up to the counter, order your food/drink, find a table and they bring your order out when ready. Staff was friendly and brought the order out within a reasonable of amount of time. 10-15 minutes from the time order was placed.Price is reasonable in proportion to the amount of food served.Ambiance is okay. They can use a bit more décor to spruce up the place. Parking is off street and easy on both my visits. Overall- This will be my go to place for Mediterranean food here in the Evergreen area! More...
Food here is delicious! I was nervous to try it because there were no other patrons in the restaurant but maybe everyone just orders to-go since it is a convenient pick up for people that live close by. Their chicken and beef kebabs were both cooked very well (not the least bit dry) and had just enough flavor. If you're the type that likes their meets covered in spices, you might want to ask for some sauce on the side. Butter chicken was also quite yummy. Sauce was not overly rich. And the orange rice (can't remember the name) was very fluffy and flavorful. More...
I like it but I don't like Mediterranean food. I ordered a salad & it was real good & I liked the bread that they gave us for the salad & the food, not sure what they are called, but they looked like Tortillas. They were good.
The food here is great! We had the chicken biryani, chicken kabob plate and beef kabob plate. All delicious. Don't miss the bolani, we shared a full one as an appetizer and it's really good. Enjoy the food and recommend the place to your friends! More...
Just got takeout from Sophie's for the first time and felt the need to write a review, which I don't typically do. I ordered the beef/lamb gyro plate which comes with rice, small salad, hummus and wedge of pita. The food was delicious! The portion was good, I couldn't finish it. Meat was well seasoned, as was the rice and salad and the hummus was fantastic. My hubby was laughing at how often I was saying 'mmmmm' while eating! The only reason I deducted a star was because I really wanted more pita for the delicious hummus. Definitely worth checking out. I'll be coming back regularly! More...
The Hummus is really delicious and nice warm pita bread.Nice clean tables and atmosphere.
The butter chicken was really good as well as the gyro plate. They have a soda machine so that is a plus. One star off since one they gave me only one pita bread on one occasion. They were kind enough to give me more bread when I told them about it, so I think they are fair. Add a star back. Can't wait to try their chalaw. More...
Love this place .. the butter chicken and veggie curry with spicy rice are sooo good. Staff friendly, clean .
Love the food here! Chicken biryani is my go to. I believe this is Family owned... they provide great friendly service. Kinda dangerous since it's just down the street from my house since I find my self eating here frequently now lol
Very nice Mediterranean food in the Evergreen area! Enjoyed the Pita Bread with Hummus and the Falafel!
I must say its the best mediterranean food in the bY area.. I have tried a lot of Mediterranean restaurants but Sophie's Food Quality and Flavors are unbelievably and unbeatable. . Am happy to have an eatery like this at Evergreen Village Square. On our first visit, we ordered food to go. My husband had a lamb & beef gyro with garlic fries which he enjoyed. The meat was flavorful and tender. I had the falafel gyro which was spiced right but I like my falafel ground more coarsely and with lots more parsley. Both gyros were filled generously. Wish they had a spicier red sauce to customize spice levels. Next time I plan to eat there and look forward to trying other options. More...
Chicken Gyros are my favorite!! I have been coming to this place since they open. Tasty fresh food with great service.

The lamb curry plate is so good! The portion size is great (especially if you have an appetite) and the meat is soft and tender; what even surprised me more is their side salad! It tastes so fresh and the yogurt dressing is nice and light! Each bite of flavor compliments each other on this plate! The owner and staff is always friendly and i know i can always ask them whats good? Try it out! More...
Took my girlfriend out to lunch today here at Sophie's after school. We've both never had Mediterranean food before so we decided to try it. We weren't familiar with anything on the menu but we ended up ordering the grilled chicken gyro plate and some other stuff. The food was AMAZING and I definitely look forward to going there again. The restaurant itself is nice and clean and has a dope overall vibe. More...
It was so good! I really recommend their beef kabob. It's so juicy! The place is modern and beautiful. Thank you for the wonderful food!Definitely coming back!
The interior is pretty nice, given it's new. We were here around 8p Saturday with about 15 people in the place and it was eerily quiet. They have soft music playing, but it felt strange, like I was in a library. The decor is a little drab as well. It feels like the room is just too big and the space not well utilized. Maybe I was expecting a few flat screens and the game playing to make things more lively. I guess the owners are looking for a different vibe. The ordering process is also a bit weird. I wasn't sure if I should sit down and someone would take my order, or I should order at the counter. You kind of walk in and have to "figure it out." Maybe they'll fix this. My wife and I both ordered Koobideh. We enjoyed it very much. We'll be back, but likely just pick it up to go. We loved the food, but kind of felt uncomfortable dining there. It's new, so maybe they'll liven up the vibe in the future. More...

Lamb shank with mashed potatoes was tender and flavorful. Chapli kabob burger was super good.
Delicious food, great service and spacious seating. I recommend both the chicken kofta plate as well as the grilled chicken gyro. Looking forward to going back!
Great food, family atmosphere. Family owned place with a great menu.Don't miss the fabulous lamb shank !
Excellent food that is conveniently located for Evergreen residents. I had the chicken kebab platter and my husband had the lamb kebab platter. Meat was moist and tasty! We enjoyed everything on the plate. Wish there was a bit more meat and less rice for the price ($12 & $14). The ambiance lacks warmth...quite empty for a large space. Food took awhile to be served on paper plates with plastic utensils- making it feel like it couldn't decide between a sit down or fast food restaurant. Unfortunately they won't be serving alcohol, as a glass of wine would complement the food well. We will be back and encourage others to frequent Sophie's so they will stick around! More...
Great new restaurant addition to the plaza. Friendly staff, super spacious, and of course amazing food. The kabobs are grilled to order so call in ahead to save some time.
My new favorite Mediterranean restaurant! The Gyro's are amazing (I had beef and lamb) as well as the Burani Bonjon. The lasagna was really tastey and the rice. ...ugh....so good!! Our neighborhood is buzzing on Nextdoor that it's owned by the previous owners of the Caspian Restaurant located at the Villages about 3 miles up the road. I wouldn't doubt it, as I ate there about 5 years back and the Gyro tasted the same. Either way, Sofies Mediterranean Grill in the Evergreen Square is a fantastic place to grab something different and amazing! More...
Sophie's does good job in filling niche of fast casual dining. My first visit for lunch I had a grilled chicken gyro wrap. It was very good. Tonight was my first dinner there and I had the Harvest Salad with Gyro Meat. It was very filling and very good. I plan to also use the take out. In theory, this restaurant should be able to generate a lot of foot traffic and do well. I wish them well. I am very happy with my two experiences there and they will definitely see me back. More...
Pretty good Mediterranean food. We had the Beef Kofta and Beef Kebob. Service is friendly and a chill spot to eat. I expect to eat here on a weekly basis due to the location and it's better than Halal Guys. No where near Dish Dash's quality but the best Mediterranean food in the evergreen and east side area. Be aware they may run out of Beef Kofta towards the end of the night. More...
We tried this for first time. The food was great and price is very reasonable. It's very casual eat out place to go with family or friends.
I ordered chicken kebab plate. It comes with rice, salad, pita bread, the kebab and hummus. The chicken is moist, tender and tasty. I wish they reduce the amount of rice, and add another piece of chicken, but given the price tag of 11.99+tax, I still think that it is a good value restaurant. We will come back. More...
Great garlic pita bread, garlic fries, and amazing fettuccine. The food was so good and warm/hot. The service was good. The falafel was ehhh. Overall good experience, just wish it wasn't so quiet inside. More...
Fire. Thats how I could explain this food and anyone in my age group will understand. Sophie's grill is an upgraded version of the owners last resturaunt Caspian Village. I was always a fan of their gyros back at the old spot and nothing has changed. The ambiance of the resturaunt is great, foods great, customer service great, and conveniently located. Its a must try. Evergreen needs deferent cuisine, so happy they have opened up a Mediterranean restaurant here. Loved the Caspian village, now they even closer to me , will come more often.
Absolutely love the food at Sophie’s (it is the family business that was Caspian Village!)...some of our favorites: chicken mahkani (butter chicken in case I spelled that wrong! ), falafel, bolani...and the creamiest hummus you will ever have! Hands down the best Mediterranean food in the South Bay...and for our family... we would say the best anywhere! More...
We tried this Yelp recommendation for a late lunch. The food was very authentic and reminded us of family get togethers as kids. The chicken , grape leaves and Gyros were tasty. We got fries, but didn't need them. They had an odd flavor too. The space is cavernous, but clean. The servings are big and a good value. We look forward to going back and trying different menu items. Definitely worth a trip to Evergreen Villiage. More...
Ordered chicken kebab dinners for take out. Food was fresh and delicious Chicken was juicy and full of flavor. Will definitely return.
Great food, great service and very nice staff. I've tried almost all of their menu items and I find them very delicious. Kabob combinations are worth giving a shot trust me ! 5 Stars no doubt More...
Have To come by . Food is great and service too. Same owners as Caspian Village who moved to a new location new name with the same great taste food
Fresh and tasty food. Love their chicken lemon soup, chicken kabobs, chapli kabobs, and gyros. Cute ambience and good service.
Great food. I've only eaten takeout, but every time service has been efficient and the food has come out fresh, with no issues. I always go for gyros: they are really tasty, especially the the beef one. The fries were ok and a bit soggy when I got them, but I think that was because I did takeout. Overall, I was impressed by this new restaurant in the square, and look to try more things on the menu. More...
This is probably my most favorite Mediterranean grill in the evergreen square. The chandelier is easily the focal point of the experience. Everytime I see the bright lights the inside of my body rumbles with an intense heat. The strong grip of their cashier's hands makes me fill up with a feeling of longing, since I lost my own parents I just want them to hold me like my daddy. But for real though the food is good :) More...
First time here with the family and we really enjoyed it. It's at great location and very nice place. Kids ordered the spaghetti and fettuccine. The meat spaghetti had a good flavor and chicken fettuccine alfredo was not so good. We also ordered the butter chicken, chicken kabob and falafel. I really enjoyed the butter chicken, not the best but it was still good and very tender. The chicken kabob was ok, some were dry. The falafel was good, my kids really liked them. We would definitely go back to try the rest of their menu More...
I'll keep my review simple. I come here because I love the Beef Kofta Kebob, Lamb gyro, rice and fries. I love this place. Want a good experience?Step1: Order before you go even if you're eating in.Step2: Order Beef Kofta Kebob, Lamb gyro, rice and fries.Step3: Fall in love with this placeStep4: Uprate my review:-) More...
I tried this place for the first time today and loved it! I had the chicken gyro and my mom and sister shared the chicken kofta kebob and lentil soup. We all really liked what we ordered and I will definitely be coming back. More...
Excellent food. Delicious and fresh. We ordered the chicken and lamb kebobs, chicken kofta kebob and the falafel wrap and everything came out with flavor. Restaurant is spacious and very clean. Though it looks a big bare in regards to the set up but it's a new place so presume the owners will add more fixtures. Cutlery broke on 3 occasions as it's plastic. Recommend a better quality. Otherwise great place to grab a quick meal. More...
Our family's favorite place to eat. If I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would. The food is scrumptious and they are always consistent with quality of the food. The butter chicken is deliciousness personified. We always order extra ( a la carte) to enjoy the next day. The gyros, salads, kebobs, garlic fries and bolani are amazing! The baklava is my favorite as well as the lemon soup (Yum). Their rice here is the BEST!!! I don't know what their secret is, but the rice is sooooooo good! I don't find the waits to be long, but I don't mind waiting for deliciously cooked food; and they definitely cook with the best ingredient of all: love. I am thrilled we have such a great restaurant at the square. More...
Great restauranteurs and a wonderful personal ambiance. Simple and casual feel with great food and service. FYI: there's a note at the cashier station saying some items, like kabobs, will take longer to prepare.
This restaurant is owned by the same family that owned Caspian Village. They sold that restaurant and opened up this one.We have been supportive when they first opened Caspian Village, so we were delighted to know they opened up a restaurant closer to home ! Same friendly service and same quality of food. We ordered chicken gyros with garlic fries. The gyros were so good. I wish the garlic had more garlic in it but it tasted good. This is more of a takeout, casual place. I look forward to seeing this new restaurant grow! More...
Finally! A delicious Mediterranean restaurant in our own Neighborhood! Greek, Italian, Arabic, Afghani and Indian dishes -- all reasonably priced. The Chicken Gyro was mouth watering! The chicken was juicy and the sauce perfectly seasoned. The Boulani is seriously addicting. I ordered take out and got my meal promptly. The store is also very pleasant to sit in, I've met several of my neighborhoods already!I will be visiting very often! More...
My wife and I tried this local restaurant today. Glad to have a gyro place close to home. I had the lamb and beef gyro, with garlic fries and my wife had the lemon chicken soup and harvest salad with gyro meat. The Gyro should be layered better and needs a little more meat (the meat was on top and many bites were just veggies). My wife liked the lemon soup which was savory and peppery. More...
My wife and I tried this local restaurant today. Glad to have a gyro place close to home. I had the lamb and beef gyro, with garlic fries and my wife had the lemon chicken soup and harvest salad with gyro meat. I agree with the other reviewer who said that the Gyro should be layered better (the meat was on top and many bites were just veggies). My wife liked the lemon soup which was savory and peppery. Service was good. We will continue to patronize this place to support local businesses and hope they adjust to customer feedback. More...
Great to see familiar faces and the good food they make...and even closer to home! Lamb curry, butter chicken, chicken kabob, hummus, and babaganoush were all hot out of the kitchen and tasty. Oh, and how I've missed you chicken lemon soup. Nice and clean restaurant with friendly folks running the show. Ran out of the lamb shank, but I look forward to it next time. More...
It's great to see a halal restaurant nearby. Overall, the service was good, and we liked the food, but there were some minor issues. My friend and I got the beef and lamb wrap, which was really good! However, the wrap could've been layered better. (Some bites were all veggies, some just meat). My brother got the chicken wrap which he liked, but said it was kind of lacking on the meat. The Chapli kabob plate was ok, but too salty for my parent's taste. Oh and their fries were pretty good! More...
Picked up some falafel pita wraps on their first soft opening day. We loved the dish and they are reasonably priced as well. Wait wasn't that bad. Will be back soon More...
Wow! How about that? So many food choices to please the family. We had lasagna, butter chicken, and greek food around our table in the same restaurant! Lots of space, friendly staff, and a lovely square to walk after the meal. Our favorites: the chicken dinner, the gyros plate, and the saucy lasagna (enough for two meals!) We couldn't get enough of the hummus and pita bread appetizer. Check it out! More...
