Very constructive input throughout the whole process. We were given a clear idea of timescales for every step of the build, what to expect and how they would minimise disruption to our household which was all done effectively as promised. For the beginning he made clear that the process would allow us to still have a family home running (almost) as normal for most of the build, which was really helpful with our young children! Baz would always answer any questions and welcomes feedback. He would be flexible and find ways to work around problems to ensure the design was achieved and did so beyond our expectations. The build was completed to schedule and to a high standard. He would work with you to make sure everything was done properly and around schedules you have with other services if you are using separate glazing or kitchen suppliers as we did. We’re very happy with choosing Smiley building services and would definitely use again. All his staff are friendly, polite and considerate. Friends and family who have seen the work on our house have already asked for Smileys details for their own build work due to the great finish. More...

Smiley Building Services completed an exquisite single storey kitchen extension for me in June 2019. They also converted my old galley kitchen into a shower room/toilet and a utility room.
I chose this company as they were the only builders I interviewed who answered my queries fully and brought good ideas which I had not considered for my project. Their quote was also competitive with others I got and very importantly from my discussions with the owner I quickly got a sense that this builder was genuine and passionate about the work he does.
I'm happy to say that I was correct as all the stages of the build have been without any difficulties or issues. They are clearly a very experienced group of professional trades people who fed back to me daily and weekly and were always available to discuss any matters which arose and clarify anything I was unclear about. All in all it was alot less stressful than I'd imagine it was going to be.
All the workmen are very skilled in their particular area of expertise
and they made my project into the dream kitchen I had always wanted. My shower room is beautiful and the finishing is exceptional.
I recommend Smiley Building Services without any hesitation.

How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
Garage conversion require some regulation to follow which are
1- The height of the ceiling
2- floor level
3- Insulation
4- the height of the roof
and always check with the local authority if your garage do need planning permeation or not

5- change the garage door to double glass windows
6- First fix of electric work

What inspired you to start your own business?
I recognise myself as a hard working person with 15 years practical multitrade skills in construction industry who takes enjoyment from my work and enjoy undertaking challenging construction projects. I am very confident when communicating face to face and this extends to colleagues and management a like .An enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who always strives to achieve a very high standard in whatever is undertaken. I enjoy undertaking new tasks and challenges under my own initiative I like to providing professional advice when needed to the clients on all aspects of technicality of building. I always knew I wanted to work in this profession and although the construction trade is my first passion with trade skills in Concrete work , roofing, structural support, plumbing ,electrical work timber and concrete floor structures. I enjoy the demands of the other skills like Building Control Surveying and seem to have veered more towards this. In August 2004 I registered myself as multi trade skilled self-employed and contracted myself out to various companies before undertaking private work of my own which allow gave me the chance to achieve several experience in the construction industry
