I am Mel and I run a home based pet sitting and dog walking service. I am NARPSUK UK registered, hold an enhanced DBS check, am fully trained and insured.
I offer solo dog walks, or group walks with a maximum of 4 dogs at a time in some of the stunning woodland and countryside around us.

She was good in pulling my dogs on the way home as she was in hurry after....15-20 minutes walk!! What she did not know is that I followed her once. ..I guess that would have been OK, if one of my collies hadn't gone through elbow dysplasia surgery! More...

Mel is great with my dog. She sends videos of him running around, and he seems so happy. She is flexible with me which is completely the relationship that I needed with a dog walker and I completely trust her with keys to my house. Thanks!!

Mel looked after our three cats and Macaw parrot over the Christmas period. It was the first time we had to leave them under the care of someone new rather than people they were already familiar with. Also, not everyone is comfortable with a big bird like the parrot, so Mel proved to be a fantastic pet sitter and very reliable! She handled all our pets with love and proper attention. Not only did she follow the instructions left for her but she also used initiative and common sense while attending the pets. For instance she went beyond basics like just food and water but also provided company and entertainment for the parrot, which is very important as they can easily become lonely without any interaction. Sit pet services have looked after our tropical fish and goldfish on a number of occasions. It was such a relief to find someone who you can rely on and who carries out your instructions fully. Consequently we were able to enjoy our holiday without worrying at all. Sit pet services has also looked in on and fed our cat who is a bit of a diva and craves human company. What do you love most about your job?
I love to be with animals. They have always been my passion. My favourite thing is the excited wagging tails that great me when I come to pick them up, and of course the lovely kisses I get! I love the moment when I see that I have gained the trust of your pets, andI love to see that relationship grow.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have worked for many years as a nurse for the NHS, I love caring for people and making a difference to their lives. I always knew my passion was for animals though,,if there was ever a dog onsite I would always be there to greet it, and it would light up my day.
I have my own dog, I am an outdoor active person, and I hated to leave my dog, looking at those sad eyes every day. This was for me a perfect career move, and I love it.

I have a passion for animals, and am continually looking to learn new skills and to gain a deeper understanding of animals psychology. I care deeply for their welfare and you will see your pets happy, healthy and contented. I take care of the mind body and soul of my animals.
As a member of NARPSUK I can offer peace of mind that comes with belonging to a national organisation whose members have agreed to follow ethical professional standards when caring for animals. It means I have constant access to further training opportunities, and I have constant support and advice when I need it.
My setting is small which allows me to devote my full attention to my animals, and I am happy to cater for puppies, older dogs, and those with extra medical needs. Many dogs would be unhappy in a larger day care or pack walk, so my service is perfect for them as I can offer one to one walks, and pet sitting in their own homes. I have many happy customers and some of the reviews I have can be found on google.
