I approached Sinclairs Law about a complex higher education issue. It was one of 3 or 4 legal firms able to deal with my issue but it was Sinclairs Law that won me over with their customer service. I was contacted by Robin Jacobs who took the time to explain to me the complexity of the legal aspect of my situation. I wonder if 24hrs is a record?I'm still in shock! I can't thank Mike Charles from SinclairsLaw enough. After months and months of blood, sweat and tears, it took just one letter from the amazing Mike Charles to secure a residential school place for our son. Despite being snowed under with mountains of work, Mike made time for me. It took just an hour and a half on the phone from start to finish to write a letter that will change our son's life for the better. We gained the support of a highly knowledgeable and skilled professional, who also quickly proved himself to be a passionate, committed and caring champion of our son's needs. These attributes set him above others in his field. Mike's drive and determination secured the correct educational placement for our son, who had removed himself from standard schooling for a year. I approached Sinclairs Law distressed, lost and damaged following the difficulties I was experiencing at the University not knowing who to turn to. The higher education team was incredibly helpful making me feel heard and understood, especially with regards to making sure all aspects of my case is covered and taken care of by the specialist in charge.

I achieved a positive outcome with the least budget spent and I cannot put any price on my solicitor's genuine support provided. He made every attempt at winning my case with the university giving me hope helping me stay positive meanwhile.

Robin was extremely patient, non-judgemental, available nearly on a 24/7 basis, encouraging and accommodated my needs and was always flexible whenever I changed my mind mid-way happy to discuss again what outcome I would be seeking at that very stage.

My wife and I went to an information open day at a local school where Andrew Barrowclough from SinclarsLaw was explaining the implications that the move to an Educational Health and Care Plan system would involve. I am so pleased we did.

At the time we were jumping through numerous LEA hoops gathering evidence with respect to our Sons diagnosed dyslexia. Despite the support of his primary school and all the professionals we had hit a brick wall with regards obtaining an Educational Statement.

Immediately after the meeting we met with Mr Barrowclough and explained our situation. He thought we had a very strong case to appeal against the LEA’s decision not to formally assess my son. He explained clearly how he thought he could help us, what the process would be and what the possible cost could be should our case go to tribunal. Based on this we decided to instruct Mr Barrowcough through SinclairsLaw to act on our behalf and start communications with the LEA.

This decision was without doubt one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. I will never be able to thank him enough for the help he gave us.

Andrew Barrowclough reviewed all our collected evidence and presented this to the LEA in an appeal document that was quite unbelievable. I am not ashamed to say that I cried when I read it because it presented a very clear picture of everything we knew about our sons dyslexia, but because of our obvious close emotional involvement had not completely accepted. This is what we needed.

Over the course of the next few months Andrew Barrowclough completely turned our predicament around, with the LEA not only agreeing to an Educational Health and Care Plan being drawn up for our son, but more importantly ensuring that it correctly detailed the support he required with recommendations to fund this at a local specialist school for dyslexics.
