Great experience so far! We have a 3 month old puppy so we are making lots of trips to the vet for shots and check ups. They have been so great helping us with all the questions we have as new puppy owners and also take such great care of our boy. They have been going above and beyond for us! Dr. Wilson has seen my cats for many years. When she left the prior Animal Hospital she was working in I followed her out to Shoreline. Even though it's further for me to go she's been the most caring, attentive and informative Dr. I've ever taken any of my furry friends to over the years. Our family has had the privilege of going to Shoreline for 20 years! Recently took my baby shitzu in for check up. She had been attacked by a dog years before and had 2 plates in her jaw. After having her teeth cleaned they found that there was a big opening by one of the plates that you could plainly see. I went back to the surgeon who originally did the surgery and left crying. I called shoreline and they were amazing. Dr Jennifer helped us and took extra time to talk to us. We love our 3 dogs, 3 bunnies and 3 parakeets. I would never go to another vet and they are amazing. I have used the services of Shoreline for more than 10 years and always found the staff to be professional and helpful. Dr. McKay always listens to what I have to say about my animals and is truly concerned about their well being. My Doberman (Mitzi) is now 3 years old and had it not been for Affiliated Veterinary Emergency Center and Shoreline I would have lost her after accidental ingestion of ibuprofen. My younger Doberman (Gretchen) is just over 1 year, at 5 months old she injured her hind leg (strain/sprain verses something more serious). After examination and x-rays, strict rest and medications we returned to Shoreline for re-evaluation. Gretchen demonstrated minimal improvement at which time I was strongly encouraged by Dr. McKay to take Gretchen in to see a specialist for further evaluation. Dr. McKay was concern that she could have a cruciate ligament tear and explained that without the correct care this could have a negative impact on Gretchen's quality of life over the long term. Fortunately, for Gretchen and my wallet the injury turned out not to be a cruciate ligament tear just a severe sprain that required rest and medication. All of this to say I highly recommend (and often do) Shoreline and find their staff overall to be very caring and concerned about my girls. As a family with only a fur baby child, we couldn't have asked for a more caring, loving place to take our "Lunks" to than Shoreline on any given day. Every time we pulled up in the parking lot, he was more excited than any other dog I've seen to get INSIDE. They have treated our family with such care, love, and devotion for over 14 years and we have been both blessed and honored with their care. As a TEAM, the Shoreline Community has helped guide us through pancreatitis, various sicknesses, an ocular prolapse, and an adrenal gland tumor. I consider them family and always will. I was recommended to Shoreline by two different families and took my elderly Maine Coon there. I take very good care of my cat but because of a huge problem with a prior cat and a vet in another city, I'm very particular about what medicines and treatments I will allow. The vets I saw here never once argued with me, they listened to my reasoning and agreed that I was doing what was best. They also knew my cat's breed! Rare for vets, I can assure you.I was only with Shoreline for a few years (shortly after we moved here) but they were always wonderful and gracious. Then, the worst happened and my beautiful Katrina's health was failing to the point that it was causing her to suffer. She was almost 17yrs old and even tho it broke my heart, she had to be put to sleep. I was waiting for the frustration for me to stop crying and get out of their way so they could be done with it. It never came. They let me hold her head and talk to her while they worked and were the kindest and most wonderful vets I've seen in a long time. I'm thankful that they, the whole staff since this kind of brought everyone out and I got hugs from them and even another client, were with me during this horrible time. Dr Sturrock is an awesome, personable vet to me and my pup!!  I'm visiting from out of town and needed to find a place to take care of my pups miserable allergies. We have been bringing our pets to Shoreline for 5 years. We have always experienced excellent and caring service. Dr. McKay always goes above and beyond to help with our dogs.  She is kind, compassionate and very knowledgeable.  She helped us with our 16 year old poodle, Cocoa in his last years.  We live 35 minutes from Shoreline and have many other veterinary options from which to choose.  It is the exceptional  care  that takes us all the way from San Marco to the beach!The people and their superior service make the drive worthwhile. I first came to them in 2008. My cat needed an emergency c section and every other vet I called wanted an arm and a leg to do it. They were compassionate and worked with me to get it done. They were there for my daughter too when her gerbil broke his back and became paralyzed. There has never been a time I went in that I wasnt warmly greeted and every appointment has been in and out quickly. The doctors are so great too. My family has taken our pets to Shoreline since I was a kid and now that I'm an adult and have my own pet, there's no place I would rather take my pet. They have been nothing short of wonderful. It is easy and convenient to make appointments, and I have never had to wait. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I have called in many times with questions about my pet, and they have answered them promptly and without making me feel like I was taking up their time with stupid questions.
