I specialize in indoor and outdoor family, couples, seniors, children and newborn minimalistic photography covering Rochester, Minnesota and the surrounding areas. I believe in a casual, fun, laid-back setting for all of my photo sessions. I may suggest poses or groupings for photos, but I never make my clients do anything that makes them feel uncomfortable.

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Taking a great photograph can encompass a variety of factors! Knowing the subject you are photographing and having the ability to adapt in different location/lighting situations are just a few. If you're photographing people or animals, you have to have the skillset to be able to work with a variety of personalities and ages and know how to capture the image they want photographed. Being able to use your camera and know how to control the settings to get the best outcome is one thing, but it takes a whole other skillset to work with live subjects to produce amazing portraits!
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What type of session are you interested in? Who is going to be in the photographs? What style of photography are you interested in? Where do you want the session to be held? Will anything special/memorable be taking place during this photography opportunity that you don't want me to miss? Why did you choose to look at me as your photographer? What can I offer you that maybe no other photographer can? How can I make this photography session the best that it can be for you?
What do you love most about your job?
I absolutely love meeting new people and finding out what gets them excited about photography! When we can connect on a personal level, I know our session is going to be amazing!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always had a passion for photography. I love being able to produce memories for myself and others that can last a lifetime. Not only offering beautiful digital images, but also prints, canvases and other pieces of art that can be cherished for years. Creating heirloom memories is what I love!
Why should our clients choose you?
I am very easy-going, flexible and personable. I feel I am able to connect with clients of all types and all ages in a way that allows them to feel comfortable with me enough to let their true personalities show in their photos. I believe in simplicity and minimalism, therefore making me a great fit for those who have the same thoughts and feelings about their desired outcome of their photography session!
