I really enjoyed this local bbq. My husband I tried a brisket sandwich, half a smoked chicken, a sausage link, fried chicken leg and wing, macaroni and cheese, and baked beans. The local folks working were exceptionally nice and hard working. The atmosphere was country living and quaint. Highly recommend. Restroom does need a soap dispenser instead of a bar of soap. More...

Great friendly staff. Pork BBQ was super tender and tasty. I normally prefer a sweet sticky type of BBQ and this is more on the vinegary side, but it was delicious! Sides were just as good!

A old converted filling station now a BBQ stand with the smoker out front. Incredibly welcoming and friendly staff. Offering pork, brisket, ribs, and the usual sides plus a few other unique to this place. I got ribs and the rub was thickly coated and prominent on eat bite. The BBQ sauce was a vinegar-y spice-y thinner style. Great for sopping up with meat or bread. The pimento cheese was incredible—get a sandwich. This stop also offered many local products like country ham slices, honey, drinks… and a larger beer selection for take out. And take some pimento cheese home. Beer and BBQ next to Belle Grove and Cedar Creek Battlefield. Through the entrance is their counter where you can purchase ribs, brisket, and pulled meats.
They offer a housemade pastrami which they were unfortunately out of at my last visit.
Through to the left, past the display case filled with frozen meats, is a small-to-mid-sized beer selection. The cans and bottles rotate though a variety of deliciously obscure brews, but it's also a good place to pick up some macro-lager standbys.

Great place! The Cajun 1/2 chicken is to die for! All home cooked goodness. Traveling through on our way to PA this was the 1st place we saw on the highway signs that wasn't fast food. So glad we drove the extra mile off 81 to get there! Well worth it! Matt came to our table and made sure we were happy with our food and gave us the history of the place. this place is absolutely amazing!!! They have lots of local meats and eggs, the food was delicious the service was incredible. Great home style food! We stopped in tonight for the shrimp special they had this weekend and got there too late. They were sold out of shrimp and several other items! Matt told us right when we walked in the door and invited us to stay and try some other items on the menu. SO happy we did! The little one even asked if we could go back at least 3 more times. What a hidden gem! We were referred by Belle Grove Plantation. The place was abuzz with friendly Staff and Patrons. The lunch special was $4. 00! It included a huge smoked BBQ Sandwich (option for slaw at no extra charge) with a side and drink. There was an amazing selection of vegetarian dishes (suprised).
