What do you love most about your job?
Problem solving, the bigger the technical challenge the more I like it. I also enjoy using 3D CAD tools, they really help to get the creative juices flowing. I remember the "old days" of drawing boards, slide rules and log tables so I can appreciate what the computer age has brought to the engineering process.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I'd risen to the level of "Chief Technical Officer" which was the pinnacle of a long and rewarding career but I realised that, the more senior I became, the less chance I got to do the things I enjoy doing. I like being "hands on" with the design process which I found was less and less possible the further up the seniority ladder I progressed. Hence I formed my own business to get back to doing what I love.
