My approach is very personal and honest and influenced by things I genuinely love and think will suit my clients. I really enjoy finding out what makes them tick and expressing that through my designs. I am interested in all types of design from fashion to art to architecture and love taking classic elements, and blending them with trends or unusual features to ensure that my work has its own unique style.

Clare was absolutely wonderful from start to finish with planning our wedding flowers. She is friendly and very easy to talk to about plans, with heaps of help and inspiration, which we definitely needed! Clare was able to adjust our quote to fit our exact budget and gave a very clear outline of what we could expect. She also encouraged me to keep in contact when my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses were finalised to keep checking that things were in sync. She kept in contact just the right amount so that I felt reassured, but not pestered! On the day, Clare was amazing. She delivered everything to various different locations and even included some spare bits for my hair free of charge. She provided vases and made transitions from bridesmaids bouquets to top table displays really easy. Clare also came the next day to collect her vases and to tidy up the spares. She was consistently professional friendly and very easy to liaise with. The flowers themselves looked absolutely wonderful, and tied the whole wedding together. I’d picked up cheap bridesmaids dresses and few things were mismatch but the quality of flowers made everything looks perfect – I was so happy. When we first met Clare she made us feel completely at ease and we told her about our budget, venue, colour scheme, bridal party outfits and my wedding dress so she could design the perfect floral arrangements. We told her that we wanted sunflowers as they are my favourite flower and a South African Protea as my husband is from South Africa. We also showed her a range of Pinterest photos and said we want a bright and colourful flower scheme. The final result took my breath away and was the most colourful and beautiful bridal bouquet I have ever seen. She even managed to get the pheasant feathers we had asked for. So many of our guests complimented how amazing our flowers were! We trusted Clare to design the arrangements and so glad we used her for our wedding as she is truly very talented and the flowers add so much beauty and colour to our wedding photos. Thank you so much Clare for our perfect wedding flowers! I knew the colours we wanted and had a vague idea of styles of bouquets but knew nothing about flowers. I sent Clare a pinterest board of some bouquets I liked the look of and it was as though looked inside my head and put together my dream bouquet! All of the bouquets, corsages and button holes were perfect and looked so beautiful on the day. I loved my bouquet so much I’ve sent the flowers away to be immortalized in a glass paperweight. Clare also made us a lovely flower arrangement to hang over the entrance to our venue, decorated the staircase banister inside with foliage and put together a thank you bouquet for our nan. I can’t recommend Clare at See Rose Floral Design enough – she was always super speedy in replying and answered any questions I had. Mrs Banham here! Clare was absolutely incredible from the first phonecall up until the day of our wonderful wedding and beyond. I sent her a picture of the bouquet I wanted and she told me where to go without it costing a fortune. So reasonably priced and her work was second to none. I couldn’t even think about my bouquet being thrown away so I have dried it to keep forever.The buttonholes were a mixture of the flowers in my bouquet and the bridesmaids had simple babies breath bouquets. I don’t have much knowledge about flowers, so I gave her the types of flowers I liked the look of and she went from there. She suggested what would compliment those flowers that matched my colour scheme. She is so friendly and helpful, she’ll answer any questions you might have! I couldn’t believe how amazing my flowers were when they arrived! She brought them to my wedding venue so that made the day less stressful! I knew exactly what I wanted when I was looking for a florist for my bouquets and flower crowns but really struggled to find anyone who I thought would get it! I searched through over 50 florists in the area and none of them grabbed my attention - they all looked very similar in their style. Then I came across See Rose Floral Design - before I’d even spoken to Clare I could tell she was the one � My gut instinct was further confirmed when I spoke to Clare who is just so so lovely and we clicked instantly - throughout the whole process she was so helpful and totally got my vision - I trusted her completely without feeling the need to check in about every little detail. I met Clare when I was a bridesmaid for my sister in law, she had made exquisite bouquets for the wedding, therefore naturally I got in touch with Clare when it was my turn to tie the knot! Clare was extremely accommodating, she met me at my home, was so friendly and professional and we instantly clicked! Although I knew what colour scheme and style I wanted, Clare was so helpful in helping and guiding me with which flowers would be suitable and what would fit in nicely with the venue. When the wedding day arrived I was blown away by the flowers! The bouquets and button holes were amazing and the flower arrangements on the tables were absolutely beautiful! What do you love most about your job?
I love the variety I experience in my profession, no job is the same as the next and I get to meet so many lovely people who often become friends. I love the fact that I play a part in such significant life events and on many occasions I am able to keep up to date with their lives after the wedding.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having grown up with keen gardeners in the family, it seemed only natural for me to develop a love for all things flora and fauna. I have been lucky to make my passion my profession.
When my grandad, Douglas, left school he worked for Morse Rose Nursery, where he learnt to bud, and he worked there until he was called up to the Royal Artillery. After his service he continued with his nursery work; progating trees and shrubs. After 35 years he returned to his home city of Norwich, where he took on the post of running Norwich City Council's nursery, where he established Norwich City's first Rose Garden until he retired.
During his career he managed to grow produce in his own garden, run his allotment & won many prizes for his chrysanthemums, dahlias, sweetpeas, roses & all varieties of fruit & vegetables.
Grandad saved the best specimens for showing but managed to still feed the family on the fresh fruit and veg - he always took pride in what he grew and my Dad often helped him in the garden.
My Dad has put into practice the skills & talent he has inherited from his Dad & his gorgeous garden is testiment to this.
I love spending time in the garden, pottering away in my workshop and getting creative with freshly cut flowers and foliage - one day I would like my own flower plot and cutting garden that they would both be proud of.
My own story with flowers began in 2005. After completing a floristry course with Judith Blacklock in Knightsbridge, I took the leap and opened my own business.
The next ten years for me and my team were incredible, and saw us win many awards through the Flower Council of Holland, create flowers for Madonna's dressing room at the Radio One Party in the Park, and design the floral backdrop for Rihanna's perfume launch. Alongside these big events, I took part in many special weddings and personal celebrations and enjoyed them just as much. I realised this was where my passion lay, and decided to take a change in direction to focus on floral design for Weddings and Special Events.
I have a beautiful studio at the bottom of my country cottage garden, a peaceful environment to create in, normally accompanied by our trusty cocker spaniels; Gus & Gin.
I enjoy working with locally grown blooms along with the more unusual flower and plant material.
One of my favourites are succulents which are also sourced locally. My style is somewhat eclectic; my design led style is inspired by various looks from fine art to botanical, contemporary to vintage and boho to classic. I love to create unique florals for my couples.
