Dr Zack and Dr Tom are two of the most kind-hearted, knowledgeable veterinarians I have had the pleasure of working with. They treat my pets like their own and try their hardest to make sure my fur babies are as comfortable as possible, while maintaining their safety in the process . The nurses and receptionists are all very sweet and caring sweet as well. Veterinarian medicine is expensive (well ... medicine in general), but this clinic puts so much heart and soul into caring for my pets that it makes it 101% worth it. More...

SLVC has come leaps and bounds the last few months, and I can't help but notice it fell around the time it got new management. I cannot recommend Dr. Tom and Dr. Zack enough - they are both educated and caring veterinarians. They are willing to explain things to the humans, while simultaneously loving your furfriends. I have 5, yes FIVE, dogs, and they all go to SLVC. My youngest is a lab puppy with elbow dysplasia in both arms - in lame terms: she needs a lot of medicine, testing, care and love. Scott Lake makes sure my monthly cost for all of this is reasonable and easy to get refills. The nurses there are some of the most caring ladies I've met. Everytime I go in, they are able to greet all 5 dogs by name, and ask how they are doing. They remember what is going on in their lives, and its amazing. I LOVE that they do follow up phone calls after surgeries and big visits - it really shows they care about my furfriends. All the nurses there are so willing to answer my questions, or find the answers for me. I've had the pleasure of working the most with Kelly, Jess, Rachel, and their practice manager Tara. They are making a lot of improvements at this clinic, and I'm excited to see what else they are able to accomplish with new management! We have been using Scott Lake for nearly 20 years. Dr. Sweers saved my 1 yr old cat 14 years ago from a ponytail entanglement. Just this week, he made the process of ending her life as comfortable as possible for her and for us. They arranged for payment up front, knowing we would be more emotional after the procedure. Dr. BEN Sweers is a fantastic vet, and so are the vet techs and front desk personnel. We have been coming to Scott Lake vet for over a decade and never want to switch but may have to. At my appointment this morning I was told that Dr. BEN & JULIE Sweers are no longer working at Scott Lake. Our dog Tigger was the reason we came to Scott Lake but Ben is the reason we stayed. Ben is not about the $$$. He is fair, genuine, compassionate and ethical. Dr. BEN always does what's best for our 5 dogs. He called me on his day off to check up on our dog who had 2 seizures over the weekend. My primary care doctor wouldn't have been that kind or thoughtful if I had 2 seizures. We would like to say thank you again for all of your help and kindness
yesterday with our baby Kocoa and our “bow” crisis! We could not have
been more pleased with the care and professionalism of the entire
staff! Everyone cared so much! Dr Zack is the best! Love Dr Michelle

My husband's family has been going to Scott Lake for as long as I can remember. We too joined this vet after we got 2 dogs. It is always welcoming and friendly when we go. The staff here went well above what was asked and due to my dogs health. From the doctor coming in on his day off to assist the other doctor, the ajoining staff keeping her safe and happy to the receptionist Mickey empethetically comforting me along the way - they were absolutely top notch. The staff is AMAZING! They genuinely care about what they do and make sure that not only your furbaby, but you are taken care of and understand what is going on as well. I had a really bad experience with a chain of clinics, and was honestly afraid to go back into one. Fast paced work environment with ever changing needs and requirements. Must be able to multitask and have attention to detail. We work 4 day work weeks, with rotating Saturday shifts (8am-1pm) and every Sunday off. Amazing benefit package for full-time employees, discounts on your veterinary care, paid holidays, paid sick and vacation time are available after a probationary period. Management is very involved in our day to day operations, always willing to step in and assist when and where needed.
