Up until I stumbled into this miraculous yoga studio, getting rid of severe skin breakouts had been a battle. My skin was cleaned by their Sarah Hoover Reiki & Yoga and breathing exercises, which also revived my inner shine. They restored a brilliance to my skin that I had feared I had lost forever as if they had turned back time.

Remembering my previous experiences with biomagnetism therapy when I got stuck due to mental illness, I was happy to see biomagnetism's all-encompassing strategy. Biomagnetic therapy is reported to lessen the discomfort arising from a variety of illnesses or disorders. When I went through some of the sessions, I realized the changes in mood and improvement of positivity that took me to the path of wellness.

It will be amazing to see how yoga's tranquility and magnetic therapy combined with biomagnetism; it was like looking at a well-woven tapestry of renewal. To know more about Biomagnetism, visit drgarciabiomagnetism.com

This studio is a true gem! Everything about it made for an inspiring, challenging yet mindful practice. Highly recommend!

Very much a mind and body experience. Focuses heavily on mindfulness, while not neglecting the workout aspect. Liz is very engaging and enthusiastic. However, with me she was hands off; while it could have been due to it being my first time, or that in general I do the poses correctly, she could have been more hands on, literally. Being as I generally do hot yoga, the class was a delightful change of pace, while maintain its challenging aspects. Wonderful studio and atmosphere! Definitely will be returning in the future! Yoga Sol is a wonderful, warm, and welcoming place to experience many different kinds of yoga with the best teachers in Columbia. Despite its beautiful and organic studio, Yoga Sol is more than a studio, it's a supportive and welcoming community full of yogis at all points along the path.  The people at the studio range from accomplished (and very stretchy!) young yogis to older beginners and everything in between, and all are made welcome by both teachers and fellow students.  With its multiplicity of teachers and styles--from Polly's wonderful wave flow to Megan's Yin--Yoga Sol offers something for every yoga student.  With its warm wood floors, full length windows that are frequently opened to sunny skies and green leaves, and lack of mirrors, the studio itself is designed to support the qualities of yoga that I most admire:  introspection, a focus on breath, and a sense of groundedness throughout every flow, from the most intense and sweaty of Vinyasas to the more meditative Hatha.  I'm still a yogi on her beginner's path, but it is a path of love and breath and growth at Yoga Sol.  (Can you tell it's one of my favorite places to be in all of Columbia?) First I want to respond to the previous rating: I've never heard of a yoga class at Yoga Sol where the instructor did not allow the student "to continue. "  Some of the Iyengar classes specify "for women" or "advanced," but I was even able to attend a class for women (having checked with the instructor--I'm a man).Yoga Sol has a wide range of classes and instructors have different approaches, so it can be helpful to know something about yoga and or seek out information (Polly, the owner, is happy to help guide people).  But just walking in is okay, too: I've seen many new students do that and the instructors have always been very welcoming. The atmosphere at Yoga Sol is wonderful: the space is the best for yoga in town that I've found.  The earlier review complains about not having mirrors, but that is intentional: the point is to listen to prompts rather than looking at yourself and other students.  The instructors always offer extensive verbal prompts and will regularly come over to individual students to help adjust positions.  The room is well-proportioned and designed specifically for yoga, rather than a cardio room adapted for yoga (as at Wilson's).  The rope wall is integral to the Iyengar classes, but is also useful for the other approaches (non-mirrored yoga rooms are better suited for inversion practices) and the floor-to-ceiling windows open up in nice weather for a wonderful connection to nature. The style of the classes range widely and the personalities of the instructors often reflect the disciplines. *Netta is the Iyengar instructor, with a huge following.  She is disciplined and rigorous, but incredibly knowledgeable and helpful.  *Gretchen does a core-oriented flow class that is challenging and engaging (her classes are often pretty full)*Leslie and Jill are skilled vinyasa flow teachers, both vigorous and thoughtful (and helpful for beginners).  *Megan does yin classes, with emphasis on slow, steady holds of positions.  *Polly is increasingly oriented toward Ashtanga, with a wealth of knowledge and a relaxed and laid-back manner.  *Sarah's class focuses on skill-building, leading up to more advanced arm-balances and inversions. There are aerial yoga classes, but I don't know anything about them.*Sunday morning (11 am) classes are community classes where the fees are donated to a community organization (usually the farmers/artisan market nearby) and often have a range of students from grandmas to grade schoolers (my 9 year-old often comes with me or my wife: children under 12 can take classes for free).  To me, that class is an expression of the welcoming and generous spirit of Yoga Sol.
