I couldn't wait to take my Georgia raised Mother-In-Law here and it did not disappoint! The fried chicken and ribs were delicious and so were the yams, Mac and cheese, and collard greens. I actually think it was the best fried chicken I've had in a long time. The soul bread had great texture and flavor. Most importantly, we loved the ambience here! Alert! Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because this is my first time here. My Geneva's Giant consisted of 3 pieces of crunchy moist cat fish, collard greens,yellow rice and Mac and cheese. Sandi's is an excellent addition to the Morristown restaurant scene. Went on a Saturday when the restaurant was opening for dinner. Restaurant was very busy and lively and I enjoyed the atmosphere. I loved that there were lots of children present, although the atmosphere probably changes as the evening progresses.The soul bread was flavorful and had a good texture/consistency which I really enjoyed (our table finished everything we got!). Purists might say  it was muffin like, but I liked their idea of how to make it.We had the fried chicken  and fish (whiting and catfish). Everything came out great, flavor, amount of batter/crust, portion size. Catfish was our favorite. Mac and cheese was excellent, with a cheesy taste, good crisoy top. Yams were tasty, but just a bit too sweet for me (my problem really since I am cutting down on sugar). Very authentic and freshly made Southern cuisine.  This place is different from anything we've had in Morristown.  And the pricing is incredibly reasonable. .. wow, our food for 2 was $30, and we thoroughly enjoyed it all!  We had the fried chicken, fried catfish, 4 sides, soul bread and biscuit.  All of it tasted like it was prepped and cooked to order.  Would highly recommend the chicken, catfish, mac & cheese, string beans and collards.  Soul bread and biscuit were exceptional--fresh from the oven.   It's a casual setting, but very well done.  BYOB.   Anyone interested in quality authentic American cuisine should make sure to try this place!! My mom and I went to Sandi's and had the best meal of our entire stay in Morristown! On top of the great service, the food was just delicious and the portions fill you up while minimizing food waste, which I really appreciate. Went for dinner to try the newly opened soul food joint. Overall the food and service was very good and prices reasonable. Tried the small fried whiting and fried chicken meals with 2 sides ($11) The mac and cheese and collard greens were both good and didn't lack flavor. There was only one pig chunk of pork in the greens but the greens were one of the better ones I've had. Mac was cheesy enough and had some yummy crispy edges mixed in, tasted like homemade baked mac and cheese. Chicken and fish were tender and done well, not overcooked.Wasn't crazy about the momma's sauced wings - seemed like they were tossed in thick tomato sauce and not crispy anymore.Peach cobbler seemed like canned peach filling since it was a little on the jellier side. It was ok. The banana pudding was better and tasted more like vanilla than magnolia bakery's. Desserts came with a side of fluffy whipped cream.Sweet tea was pretty good and had a hint of vanilla. Decided to try the place out as I missed soul food.  (If anyone remembers fresh waters in Plainfield). The place is bright and cheery, we had tea, fried catfish, fried chicken, collard greens, and yams.  Everything seems to be served from a hot food tray and as a result, while the catfish and fried chicken had a nice flavorful breading, the catfish was a bit dry and chicken was warm but not fresh and hot.  The collard greens was the highlight of my dish and flavored perfectly with turkey.  The yams were tasty and not overly sweet.  The tea is different and I'll let them tell you what the special ingredient is, but you love it or hate it, no in-between.  Decided to split dessert and had the peach cobbler.  It was warmed up via a microwave but the taste was super yummy!!  Overall they specialize in the catering and take out business.  The restaurant is nice and pricing is fair, but I would probably do takeout in the future. My new favorite restaurant! This is finally what Morristown needed, seriously awesome feel good food. We loved the fried chicken and out of this world mac& cheese! Honestly being in motown they give you a bang for your buck. We are stuffed and only spent $34. My boyfriend and I together tried just about everything on the menu and we have no complaints, only positive reviews. The aesthetic of the place is very chic and comforting. Also BYOB!!!!! I've been waiting patiently for Sandi's to open and had the chance to stop in with a coworker for lunch today. The decor is warm, welcoming and charming and the staff is super friendly. Everything is brand new and sparkling clean! There are so many amazing options on the menu, but I settled on Soul Punch (very sweet) and an order of fried whiting with Mac and Cheese and Collard Greens. The food took a while to come out, but it was really delicious! The whiting was outstanding!! However, the sides were not as hot as I would have liked (they were more like lukewarm). I think with a few more weeks of mastering the lunch crowd and getting their timing better, Sandi's will be really successful. It's great to have a new dining option in town that's so different from all the rest! Despite the minor issues, I can't wait to come back and bring friends. Sandi's is just warming up their ovens and they are already pumpin out the soul food that this town has been missing!I have opened 4 restaurants myself and I can tell you that it is harder then what you see in reality TV. Cut this place some slack, and they will reward you in time. Today I dined on jerk wings that were spicy and complex.. fried chicken that will make you want to send your mama to the kitchen for lessons.. and Mac n Cheese.. soul bread.. soul punch... ok...
