Samantha's Dog Training

Samantha has worked with three of my dogs now over he past year. She's worked with both the dogs and us helping us be better owners and help us make our puppies happier. I can't recommend Samantha enough!

Can't put into words how great Samantha is - as a trainer, and as a human. She is patient with troublesome and/or stubborn dogs and patient with their parents too. Samantha has done an amazing job with our dog Milo. He is a very well behaved dog. He just is super excited around people and other dogs. He wants to play and show everyone love. After working with Samantha now for a couple months Milo now sits and stays when around other dogs and people. He understand commands very well. She has really made a huge impact in Milo. More...

Samantha is a life saver! When we moved to Dallas our miniature schnauzer developed many anxieties that showed as fear of other dogs, separation anxiety and even some aggression with new dogs. Since working with Samantha, we now have the tools to be able to positively change our dog's behaviours. He is so much more calm and happy! Samantha is so patient and kind- she always says that there is no such thing as a bad dog- and in her hands, it's definitely true! Sam is more than just a dog trainer....she's my Great Dane's second mom! She connects with dogs so well and they immediately know they can trust her. During training she can tell immediately if I'm getting frustrated and she comes over, we address the frustration and find a way to change it. Training should be enjoyable for you and you pup and she makes sure to accomplish that! She also explains things in detail so you can go home and continue to follow up on behaviors your dog learns. I highly recommend Samantha! She has done an excellent job training my excitable, ADD puppy in teaching him focus and to respond to commands. She provides updates and pictures from each training session as well as homework to do with your dog to work on the skills being developed. Samantha is excellent! She has been working on my dog's reactivity issues with me for the past couple of months and I'm amazed at the progress we've made! Even when we have setbacks, she's there to help me analyze what happened, stay encouraged at the progress we've made, and set goals for the future. I honestly don't know where we would be without Samantha. We recently moved to Dallas from Illinois. After our move our 3 year old Pit developed some anxiety and became aggressive towards other dogs. We found Samantha and after 2 meetings we could already see a difference in how our little guy was reacting and how we were reacting to his reactions. We are now 5 meetings in and creating another change/move and I know Samantha will be there to help us and insure he has the best transition possible. Samantha has helped us train our dogs for years. My “puppy” who is now six still loves to show us his skills. We started basic obedience training with Samantha when he was 3 months old. She was patient with him when he thought the ground was too cold for a down stay or his ADD got the best of him. To this day he loves her! Samantha also helps her human students understand their canine companions thought process and why certain techniques work better than others.

Samantha also worked with our female shepherd mix that is not dog friendly. When Maddie started training she was reacting to every dog she saw with a lot of barking and lunging. Through positive reinforcement, Samantha helped Maddie become less sensitive to other dogs. Maddie can now pass other dogs without any issues. It makes walking her so much easier. More...

You simply cannot find a better trainer for your fur-friends. We were seriously at the point of possibly having to rehome Chuy, until we met Sam. She not only turned him around, but taught us how to KEEP him on the right path. She trained both of us.

It's now roughly 5yrs later and Chuy is quite simply one of the best dogs I've ever had. We cannot imagine life without him.

He's usually out in the front yard with us while we're working, no leash or even a collar. We occasionally get dirty looks from other walking their dogs, and their's will be freaking out, barking like mad, pulling at the leash trying to get to Chuy. While he, simply ignores them mostly.
It's funny because they look at us like, "God... why don't you have your dog on a leash!?!?" and we just smile and look back at them like, "Chuy doesn't NEED to be on a leash. He was properly trained." :)

Whether your little friend is completely out of control like Chuy, or simply needs to learn a few basic commands..... Sam is the ONLY person I'd trust to teach them AND you. More...

Samantha is a magician! Padme my 1 yr. old blue heeler mix is so high energy I could barely walk her outside with out tons of barking and pulling. With help from Sam, Padme is now a little saint when it comes to greetings, walking on leash, and even interacting with other dogs (she used to bark consistently when around other dogs on leash). The “take it, drop it, leave it” method is my favorite and is used EVERY day in our house. If you have a pup that needs training, I beg you to do yourself a favor and go to Samantha! You’ll notice a different in the 1st week!

Samantha has been working with my dog Whiskey for a couple of months now and I have seen such a great change in him. He is a very "unique" dog in terms of who him interacts with, either dog or person. He has gained so much trust in her it's amazing to see. She is so calm and patient with him and willing to put in the time with him to work on his "issues".

She has been working on improving his leash skils, leash reactivity towards other dogs, and gaining trust towards other people. I love see his progress on and off leash. He is a work in progress but so far I love the work and patience that Samantha has! More...
