Sian provided an excellent bespoke service. She is very knowledgeable and I was grateful that she shared this knowledge and explained the tecnicalities when I needed clarification. She helped me draw up the lighting plans and specified the lighting for my entire house (3,500 sq ft). Since I had a tight budget she gave me options so that I could work within it.
Sian was always reliable and worked with me both on and off site. She is very detail oriented which was perfect for me- she even spent an afternoon with the kitchen planner, marking out the exact positions of the downlights!

Sian is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of how best to light a home/premise, both internally and externally. Over a number of years, Sian has transformed the majority of our the rooms in our house (bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and even garden) to provide a lovely combination of lighting with efficiency and purpose in mind. Sian is uptodate with lighting options and worked well alongside our builders to help make sure that the electricians had followed her plan correctly.

We were engaged in a large private project in Chiswick to turn what had become an old people's home back into over 5,000 sq ft of residential accommodation including significant basement excavation under the house and garden. This was the one and only time we were going to do works on this scale so needed to have a team of professionals around us to help make it a success. Sian Baxter Lighting Design was selected to provide help in an area where we had little technical knowledge. We were given clear guidance on layout and product selection and also help in making our decisions around the lighting in the right order (e.g. on final size and positioning of furniture). The final design of the lighting has made a hugely positive impact and we are thrilled with the results.

I cannot recommend SA Designs more highly. Steve was a good listener and worked very hard to understand our requirements. I was particularly impressed with Steve's ability to stick to our budget and not let costs overrun ; at no point did he try and "squeeze" extra funds out of us. He came up with some excellent suggestions and ideas we hadn't thought of. Steve had very good contacts for granite and white goods and the people he used for installation and painting were very easy to work with. Steve was always available and regularly visited site to ensure his high standards were adhered to. Refurbishing and extending a 1920 house, we wanted to combine a new sleek style kitchen / family room while retaining the old oak floor and other original features.
Steve opened our eyes to possibilities we hadn’t even considered and produced a kitchen which is not just stunning, but also practical and easily maintained. He thought of every small detail, discussing how we moved around the kitchen to ensure that he designed a “place for everything and everything had its own place”.

Steve and his team created a stunning kitchen, pantry/scullery and cocktail bar for our newly renovated and extended home in Weybridge. Throughout the planning and design phase Steve made himself available as often as necessary to discuss options available in our budget and his attention to detail was fantastic. We were given full access to the plans before having to commit to anything which is hugely helpful and certainly not something that other designers do readily. We chose a particular plan which was fully drawn up by Steve and then, half way through the house build (luckily before the kitchen units went into production) we changed our minds completely in terms of which room in the house the kitchen and pantry/scullery were going to go and Steve had to draft up new plans in a very short timeframe. Our massive changes were taken completely in stride by Steve who was totally unfazed and fantastic throughout. Stuart and Peter, who installed and painted the units were a pleasure to deal with as well and are true master craftsmen. We are extremely satisfied with end result and are very impressed by the fantastic quality. Steve thought of many things we hadn't considered such as placing of plug points, soft lighting and many more and we were very pleased we took his advice. We recently moved into an ultra modern eco house with very few fittings. SA designs worked with us to design office furniture, a statement piece bookcase, wardrobes and a fabulous gloss white corner bathroom cabinet. The pieces are fabulous and were beautifully made, delivered and installed in a very reasonable timeframe. The quality of the installation was also very high. Steve Adams designed the kitchen in an extension in my last house. He worked carefully to include everything I had asked for and was closely involved with the builder to ensure that the kitchen design was not compromised and that the fitting would run smoothly. He gave the builder clear instructions as to what he needed which meant there were no misunderstandings. He was, however, able to be flexible when cupboards had to be adapted for an unexpected additional drain. A less bespoke kitchen company could not have done that for me. I had a kitchen that was beautifully designed, immaculately constructed and that looked as good after 7 years as it did on day 1. As we were so pleased we also used the company to design and build a walk-in wardrobe in a tiny space with sloping ceilings. Again Steve came up with an ingenious design that housed everything.
