I had a bad experience with a large local firm the last time I had need of a funeral director and Mark was everything the previous firm were not. Rouse & Co Independent Funeral Directors are amazing. They looked after my Gran & I felt very reassured that she was being looked after with considerable care. Mark was personal, sensitive, patient, obliging, always available and very considerate of our needs, request & wishes. They also charge a lot less than other funeral directors but still offer the same services and also went over & beyond. I highly recommend them. They deserve more than 5 stars. More...

When my mum passed away it was a very difficult time, the thought of organising a funeral was something I never imagined I would be able to do. It was extremely daunting and overwhelming. After speaking to a few different funeral directors who listed off prices and features in an impersonal and insensitive way, I was giving up hope of finding someone I felt really understood the stress I was under. Luckily I came across Rouse & Co. Straight from the very first call I knew they were the people I wanted to help organise everything and look after mum.Mark and his wife did such a beautiful job with my mothers funeral, they were extremely sensitive, lovely, caring and helpful. What do you love most about your job?
being part of someones special moment, never get tired from seeing someone smiling ad enjoying the moment, and getting chance to capture it for them to see later on is priceless.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I love seeing how children grow, and watching my daughter grow in to the beautiful little girl she is is wonderful, I want to share that with everyone.
Every moment is precious, so we should be able to look back when their older and say wow, I remember that day, we had a right giggle........
