My company is a personal training business that operates out of a commercial gym in Manchester City centre. All my packages include Pt sessions, own workouts, out of hours support, and nutrition plans, and monthly recipe books with full calorie and macro breakdown.

I approached Dave because my time at the gym had become repetitive and I was recovering from injury and unsure how to adjust. Week by week, Dave has built up my strength and stamina, and adapted each workout plan according to my personal goals, and the areas we’ve recognised as requiring particular attention. Dave is calm and patient in his approach but, crucially, will push and challenge me, and I’ve benefitted from his expertise in both training and nutrition. He’s expanded my sense of what’s possible and achievable for a man of my (late middle) age. I’ve been overweight and getting heavier for years. Every attempt I made at controlling my diet or getting back into exercise failed, with things just getting worse.

Starting PT with Dave has been the best decision I’ve made. During the initial consultation we talked about what my goals were and what works and doesn’t work for me. Now I’m 14 kg down with another ~17 to go - I’m nearly at the half way mark and feeling great.

Dave’s given me the tools I need to build healthy eating habits and learn to love what I’m doing in the gym, and he’s persistent with me when I inevitably slip up. We’ve been doing boxing training in my PT sessions and I’m really enjoying learning a new skill while getting fitter (footwork is a lot harder than it looks!). Each new programme Dave thinks up is something different and leaves me feeling like I’ve made real progress. Would highly recommend giving him a go!

Dave is a fantastic trainer, I have been a client of his for 5 months now and I am seeing stomach muscles I’ve never seen before on me. I’m over the moon with the results I’m seeing after only a short time working with him.

After Covid and the lockdowns, like most people I had gained weight and was unhappy with my body. I had also lost my confidence in even stepping foot into a gym. It only took a few sessions with Dave for me to feel at ease walking into a gym again, Dave is very friendly, knowledgeable and always reliable.

Every month I receive new training plans that we go through together, this is great as it keeps the whole experience of going to a gym fresh, you aren’t doing the same exercises all the time - it also ensures you’re working on new muscle groups regularly. I have really noticed a difference with this approach. This, along with the easy to follow recipes he sends me makes the whole process of getting fit and healthy so much easier. He’s always on hand if ever you’re not sure of something - the communication is superb.

If you’re on the fence, then what I would say is go have a consultation, there’s absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain. I’m confident you won’t regret it.

I’ve been with Dave for a few months and had a great experience. My primary goal was to get back into gym after a few years break and Dave delivered to the fullest: from a complete training plan, to meal recipes to personal sessions together along the way. Just after a few months, I could already see the results both in and out the gym, having improved some of my PB’s by more than 40%. Throughout our time together Dave’s been very caring and highly passionate about his work. He always accommodates personal requests regarding the routine & genuinely cares about your progress. You wouldn’t find him counting down the minutes for the session, and on the opposite he takes his time when you need it. All in all, I didn’t have a single bad experience and was able to reach results that overcame my expectations. Having been weight training for 3 months, I had put on some muscle but started to plateau and wanted to take my training goals to the next level. After an initial consultation, Dave put me on a bespoke nutrition plan and Stage 1 4 week hypertrophy workout routine. After following the routine to the letter I began seeing results quickly! I am now on a Stage 3 intense workout program and continue to put on muscle mass slowly but surely. Dave takes a holistic approach with a strong focus not just on the workouts but on the activity that goes on outside the gym, particularly in the kitchen. Behind the scenes he is constantly monitoring my progress and nutrition (via a smartphone workout app) and making educated adjustments for optimum results. Every adjustment he makes comes from detailed scientific knowledge. Dave genuinely cares about seeing results in his clients. He is very approachable and always brings a sense of fun to our sessions.
