Luke is very good at what he does. After many years of extreme pain he was the practitioner that has managed to get me pain free using a mixture of treatments, but only what you feel comfortable with. I would recommend rise acupuncture for any sports or musculoskeletal issues. More...

I have had successful chinese medicine treatments for a range of ailments from Luke at Rise Acupuncture. I have found acupuncture brilliant for getting rid of nasty headaches (love the occipital points! ) and reducing feelings of stress. Luke has used a range of techniques including needling, guasha, cupping, moxa and tui na massage. He is careful to check I am comfortable throughout and responds to my conditions accordingly. Highly recommended. More...

I had a fantastic massage from Luke today. I suffer from frequent severe migraines and back, neck and shoulder tension, but after a thorough consultation Luke explained the different techniques he would be using, including heat therapy, and I can honestly say it was the best massage I've had - and I work in the industry! I feel a lot of tension has been released and I can't wait to try the acupuncture. Complete value for money, excellent client care, and extremely knowledgeable. More...

Was struggling with a persistent calf problem during marathon training and was at the point of admitting defeat, but gave acupuncture a go as a last resort. A combination of acupuncture and massage worked wonders thanks to Luke and I was able to continue training and ran 2 marathons with no trouble. Luke was friendly, professional and clearly passionate about his work and making his clients feel at ease throughout. He explained everything thoroughly and I will not hesitate to call him again with any problems. More...

What do you love most about your job?
Getting to help people everyday with whatever health needs they have, be it physical, mental or spiritual.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Acupuncture helped me get my life back on track. I wanted to try and give something back to the therapy by starting my own business.
Why should our clients choose you?
Clients should choose whomever they feel comfortable with. I am good at what I do but it isnt for everyone. I use a combination of techniques to try and help my clients.
Acupuncture
Depending on the clients needs, one or a combination of the following maybe used:
Traditional Chinese acupuncture to help with all conditions.
5 Element acupuncture provides a more mental and spiritual approach to treatment.
Cosmetic acupuncture for a natural face lift.
Electro acupuncture to help with all joint, tendon, ligament and muscular pain.
Massage Therapy
Sports massage to provide a deeply relaxing and theraputic massage.
Tuina massage is a more vigorous massage along acupuncture channels. Excellent in combination with acupuncture.
Swedish massage to provide all the relaxation you need!
Hydrotherm massage is done on heated water cushions. Excellent for muscular injuries. Once tried you will only ever have this massage.
Cupping
Either static or slide both methods can provide muscular relaxation and pain relief. It can also be used for strengthening the immune system or releasing heat, providing relief from colds, fever and even hayfever.
Guasha
A gentle scrapping techinque used with a Jade tool. Like cupping this can provide pain relief and loosen tight muscles. Excellent for any neck tightness, restricted movement or pain.
Heat Therapy
Either moxibustion or TDP heat lamp. Heat is often vital in helping with any muscular injury especially with back complaints. Both are often combined with acupuncture and massage to increase the benefits to the client.
