Ordered Yamaha YDP 144 at a really good price. Arrived next working day - there was an issue with the carrier TNT having incorrect address (billing address instead of delivery address), however after advising Cathy and speaking with TNT they were able to divert it to the correct address and I still received before end of day. Good service, good communcation.

Phoned up yesterday after a fender mustang gt40 fella on the phone was really helpful checked in the back and said there was a new one there for me, went down to pick it up and was served by different guy who was just as helpful really friendly staff nice shop also will definitely be back in the new year thanks !

Our local shop in the south of England was too pricey. Rimmers looked promising because they have high street shops. After reading several negative reviews about Rimmers, prior to ordering I conducted due diligence - calling them to try and ascertain if the product was in stock, if it was to be delivered from Rimmers, from Yamaha directly or from elsewhere. The heavily implied "next day" service was not achieved but the piano arrived one day later with a very apologetic TNT delivery man who kindly insisted on helping to get the (80kg) piano through the difficult entry door and into the music room. There is evidence the piano is very good, the box was well sealed and the firmware was up to date. It plays beautifully and the sound is excellent. No regrets going for the CSP170 over the CSP150. The Fender CHAMPION 50 XL: a great digital amp for clean tones and very competitively priced but getting Reverb on it’s own without any hissing/background noise is difficult eg FX selection 3 or 4 for hall or spring reverb respectively is fraught with hissing noises if too high an FX level is selected. All the reverb effects are combined with others eg chorus. REVERB on its own is not possible. There are some excellent amp models eg Fender twin amp, Fender deluxe, Fender 65 Princeton etc. The 12” Midnight Celestion speaker gives it warmth and 3D room filling capacity. It’s definitely not boxy sounding like eg the Mustang GT series which has WiFi etc. This is a simple plug and play Amp without all the Smartphone tapping. Just tweak a few knobs to get the sounds you want easily. Some sparkling clean tones available on this Amp. More...

Ordered a Boss ES-8 Pedal Switcher which arrived very quickly. Unfortunately the product was faulty, so I had to return it. Rimmers were very understanding and arranged for it to be collected by courier to be returned to them, which was done so very quickly and I had the money back in my bank account the day after collection. (A big thank you to Rowan for being very helpful throughout the entire returns process)It's a shame the product didn't work as expected (not the fault of Rimmers at all), but the service from Rimmers Music was very pleasant and professional and I would definitely shop with them again. Excellent service from everyone I spoke to regarding my Kawai digital, especially from Leif who went out of his way to make sure I was kept up to date on what was happening with my order. The only downside was delivery via TNT, which was appalling. The piano didn't arrive on the scheduled date, which was very annoying given my wife had taken the day off to wait for it. It was rescheduled for pre-9am the next day but didn't arrive then either. When I eventually got through to them on the phone they claimed the driver had attempted to deliver but there was no one in. In fact he had gone to the wrong street. It did get sorted in the end but TNT didn't seem very bothered or apologetic about it. More...

Competitive price and next day delivery lead me here. The wrong item was delivered due to a picking error and being out of stock so not the full 5 stars sadly. But this was quickly turned around. Rowan from their CS dept sourced the correct cymbals from a supplier the next working day and they arrived 10am the following day just in time to be used for recording. They sound fantastic. I am a piano teacher and have used this company several times for the purchase of instruments and have never been disappointed. My recent purchase of some Ukuleles was dealt with very well by customer service and I would like to specially mention (Hedley) who made several phone calls to suppliers on my behalf and made sure that I was happy with my overall purchase. I strongly recommend this companies customer service in comparison with the lack of care most customer services seem to provide. I contacted Rimmers Music re a Yamaha PRS S670 keyboard and after speaking to a very helpful lady, placed an on-line order at about 3. 45 p.m. The keyboard was delivered at 10 a.m. the next day.This is a fairly advanced keyboard arranger which takes some time for an inexperienced user to get to grips with.
