All the staff I interacted with were very helpful and attentive, the doctors and nurses gave clear explanations and listened to my concerns. My one complaint is fairly minor but becomes increasingly frustrating if you have to spend a significant amount of time there: some of their internet usage restrictions don't make sense. I understand that this is a quasi-public space and some restrictions are necessary, but I was having things like video essays about music theory blocked by their network settings, and other content that I can't imagine any reason to restrict. And when you're trying not to physically exert yourself, not having access to things to keep your mind occupied becomes very frustrating very quickly.Edit: Thank you for the response! I appreciate you forwarding my minor frustration, but to be clear, this wasn't a bandwidth issue, it was a restriction issue. The internet was reliable while I was there, it was only that content I wanted to access was blocked. Specifically, I was getting the message "this video is restricted. Try signing in with a Google Apps account." I was already signed in with a google apps account, and when I looked up this issue the results all indicated that this indicated a deliberate restriction set at the network level. Hope this helps! The most amazing hospital to have surgery! Operating rooms are spacious and looked impressive (what do I know?). Everything was clean and admission was a breeze. The staff are caring, considerate and professional. Despite the usual complaints people have about hospital food, mine was awesome - hot, tasty and ordered off an a la carte menu; you might think you were ordering room service! I had to have emergency gall bladder surgery over the weekend. One of those scary events that we all dread. Going to the Emergency Room ar Rose Hospital was the best choice I could have made. I was in a tremendous amount of pain and after running a series of tests ( my symptoms were not typical) it was discovered that my gall bladder had to come out. The surgeon, the anesthesiologist, the nurses and the entire staff were absolutely amazing. Its 4 days after my surgery and its almost like nothing happened (until I cough!). Hopefully I won’t have to have any more organs removed again any time soon, but for any future healthcare needs, Rose Medical Center is where I’ll be heading. I love this hospital and medical center. The hospital connects to the office buildings by bridge and the parking garage is sometimes full but most of the time I can find parking. This has to be one of the nicest cleanest hospitals I have ever been in! The staff are incredibly kind, competent and professional. I was on the 5th floor and my day nurses, Sam and Landon, did everything they possibly could to make sure I was ok, well taken care of, comfortable, and able to heal in a peaceful environment. Keely, my night nurse is a real trooper and should be promoted immediately. All Night she was there being the kindest calming person possible while I was having a series of mini crises. And always seemed to know exactly what to do to fix things. No one ever wants to have to go to a hospital but if you do have to go to one pick Rose Medical Center. I highly recommend Rose Medical for all your labor and delivery needs. Their team went above and beyond to take great care of me, my husband and our new daughter during our recent birth. Everyone was extremely respectful and helpful, the rooms were comfortable and the food selection was very good (breastfeeding makes you hungry!!) What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Experience allows me to take great shots, even in challenging conditions. I follow the light, listen to my clients and keep it simple and fun.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What they are hoping to get from their professional photography session? Do they have a location in mind of would they like suggestions?
What do you love most about your job?
I like bringing out the best in people. Getting to know my clients and showing them how good they can look, which might help they achieve their goal or just see themselves in a positive light.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My mom passed away in 2008 and I realized how important it is to do what you love AND to be in photos. Photos where you are showered and dressed well and ready to be yourself. While selfies and cell phone images have a place, nothing replaces a professional shot. They are timeless.
Why should our clients choose you?
I take authentic pictures, I dont shoot in studio and I don't spend a lot of time retouching. I do edit the images but I want you to look like you and be proud to share these images. If they feel like I am a good fit I would love to work with them.
