Darren came out quickly to sort out a squirrel who had got into the chimney flu and brought it out alive and well and cleaned the chimney whilst he was at it! No drama and all ended well

I contacted Darren about having my chimney swept, a possible birds nest in the flue and tar lining the chimney. He came over to have a look and inspect the chimney condition. He went onto the roof in order to carry out part of his inspection and all this free gratis. Not only is he a likeable and trustworthy chap who knows his job but also gave me a fair price for the work l will be having undertaken by his company. Really good and friendly guy. As well as cleaning out and taking apart my woodburner and then putting it all back together again, he gave me advice on maintenance as I had got a leak of water mixed with soot and sap earlier in the year. He not only said what this was and why it had appeared but also suggested the type of cement to use to mend the gap - I was going to use plaster, which would not have worked. Really informative, really tidy. Left my fireplace clean. Also cheap. More...

Really good and friendly guy. I had a Little Wenlock Aga Woodburner. He took it apart, cleaned every part of it and the soot that had been building up above the stove and into the liner. Also gave me advice on maintenance as I had got a leak of water mixed with soot and sap earlier in the year. He not only said what this was and why it had appeared but also suggested the type of cement to use to mend the gap where the water had been coming through - I was just going to use plaster, he suggested Fire Cement and to apply it and then light a fire for 4hrs as the cement needed 4hrs of heat to dry.
