About

My professional approach whilst working with adults, young people or children is to be supportive and sensitive whilst we work through your issues and difficulties.

My Approach:

My name is Lisa I am a qualified and experienced counsellor, I have worked with many people from all different types of backgrounds, I have witnessed them find new hope and positive change through the counselling process.
I offer a confidential and non-judgmental professional service where a person can explore the issues that matter to them within their life.

My Service;
I am trained in therapeutic integrative counselling, which means that I draw from a range of approaches to provide the right support for each person. The number of sessions required will vary from person to person, I offer both short term therapy, which is about six sessions and more long term or open ended counselling if its required. In my experience the importance of reviewing regularly with each person as to how the counselling is going is an essential part of the process.

Area:
I work from three different bases in the Thurrock, Hadleigh and Rayleigh areas ensuring that I can provide the right location and setting for my clients

Couples:
I also offer counselling for couples and work in an impartial way, allowing each partner to be heard. Whilst I am not invested in any particular outcome, I have often found that through counselling, couples have found new, caring and happier ways of being together.

Children and young people:
With younger children I use therapeutic play as this is a very natural way for them to express themselves. In a trusted environment it can enable them to explore and make sense of their experience of life and help them develop towards their potential.

Professional Membership

As a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy I abide by their ethical frameworks. I also have full professional indemnity insurance and am committed to ongoing personal and professional development.

About Counselling:
In my counselling service, I aim to give you or your child an opportunity to think and talk about what’s going on for you, to understand more about why you are feeling as you do, and to support you to find your own ways forward in the situations that you face whether this is in your current situation or from past memories and experiences.
