Very comprehensive six week puppy classes offered, there was 6 puppies in the course I was on with Bow my lovable crazy super Pug. The hall was very clean, and the friendly class assistant, John, worked hard to keep it very hygienic for the pups. He's a bit of an unsung hero really, so helpful and quick to spot if you need extra help from Rebecca and let's her know. Rebecca Harris is a great motivator, very skilled and likes to make the class laugh, as well as really educating us! All the puppies love her too. More...

Logan my Cockapoo is now a super happy popster thanks to Rebecca! I can't thank her enough for all her help, going beyond the call of duty, tirelessly working with our scaredy troubled pup to turn him into the bouncey happy outgoing dog he is today. We never thought it would be possible to turn him around. xxx More...

AWESOME DOG TRAINER! This is the lady you want to hire if you dream of a perfectly trained puppy. I booked a set of 121 sessions for my puppy because I didn't want to do classes. And Rebecca and her very kind assistant John made me feel so positive about the whole experience. And my puppy and I loved every session. A credit to the dog training profession. No wonder my vet recommended Canine School for Skills. Thank you! More...

Canine School for Skills provides a wonderful safe learning environment for your puppy. Rebecca is also truly a people person. Just want to say, as a young gay couple we worry about the environments we go to and places we can attended together. But Rebecca made us feel like any other couple coming to class with our furbaby. She is genuine, caring, accepting and a brilliant trainer. Classes are friendly, fun... our puppy learned so much, we very much enjoyed the six week puppy course. I can't speak more highly of Rebecca. More...

I was told that these classes were uniquely friendly, supportive and fun. I was not disappointed. Absolutely awesome. Will be recommending! This trainer gives her heart and soul, even when recently having to cancel a few classes after a tragic loss in her family, she has not disappointed... making up time, putting her heart in to giving us the best. Truly all heart, really impressed. Well done Rebecca. Thank you from bottom of my heart for what you've done for my dog and for all the dogs that you've helped. More...

The Ultimate Puppy Trainer! Wow, the classes were so rewarding and fun for my puppy to attend and Rebecca really has a way of putting you at ease and fixing all your puppy problems. I attended with my son Michael, who is a rather shy boy. Rebecca was so kind and gentle with him, and built up his confidence and by end of the six week puppy course he was standing up in front of everyone showing all the skills he had learnt and laughing with everybody. That kind of trainer is priceless, special... people skills as well as a fantastic dog trainer. Having been to other people's classes before, I can testify that this is a rare thing. Rebecca is a gem. More...

I am so glad I found Rebecca's classes, truly a sensitive, intuitive and highly professional trainer. Classes at Canine School for Skills really do give your puppy the life skills required to be happy pups, while being fun too. I came to her classes after attending a very disappointing couple of classes elsewhere, where the puppies were allowed to run riot, and basically terrorize my nervous Maltese. Bubbles changed from nervous wreck to social butterfly under her careful guidance. It was great to see even in a class, she made sure to give well of her time to each puppy, and help every owner with individual issues they maybe having. I highly recommend her and her classes to anybody, and a total must for first time puppy owners. You really cannot go wrong by attending. Rebecca, and her class assistant, are true dog lovers. My partner and I have been taking our maltese dog to Canine School for Skills since he was a tiny puppy. Initially we attended the beginners training class and then the agility classes when our dog Teddy was older. I cannot recommend Rebecca, John and their team more. She is a dog whisperer! We had a few problems with Ted when we first got him and she has been so instrumental in fixing those, all the while maintaining a fun and friendly atmosphere. I'd give 6 stars out of 5 if I could! I highly recommend Rebecca her classes are truly top. She understands dogs and what they need in a way that few people can and she uses her wealth of knowledge and experience to tailor each session. I've found the help and advice invaluable raising our Cockerpoo Barry from puppy through to adulthood, as well as our new rescue girly April. Barry and April absolutely adore Rebecca, as do all of the dogs that go through her classes and she adores them too - you can see her love of dogs in everything she does. There are so many so-called trainers around that have only done a few one to five day courses and suddenly think that makes them dog trainers, why settle for classes run by these purely business minded people when you can take your puppy or dog to a proper trainer like Rebecca - its so important. If you want to learn how to understand your dog's behaviour and how to train them using positive reward based methods then Canine School for Skills is the place to go. More...

Amazing classes, can't get enough of Canine School for Skills. Rebecca puts 100% into making sure puppies have best possible start in life. She packs classes full of vital information for the puppy owner, I have been to other classes with pervious dogs but Rebecca's are by far the best I have ever found - she has taught me so much, and really helped me form a wonderful relationship with my current dog. She also has fantastic follow on classes for those who want to continue their dogs education too - Improvers class is so much fun, so much so I kept going for over a year but had to stop due to work commitments. Rebecca is very experienced and qualified dog trainer (has been training dogs for half her life!), she is warm, engaging and makes everybody feel their dog is really cared about. Lovely person! I am looking forward to joining her Agility classes this year with Monty my Whippet. :-) More...

Q&As

I have a background in child development psychology, and humanistic and people centred counselling. I think my background has a big influence on my work both with people and their dogs today. I love to guide and motivate people, I enjoy helping people achieve their dog training goals. I love seeing dogs living happy confident in permanent homes.

My passion for dogs and their welfare is deep rooted and started in my earilest childhood. People even when I was only about 6 years old said I had an amazing ability to contect with and understand dogs (as well as other non-human beings). I have over 25 years experience of training dogs, and have worked within rescue, for local vets and have acted as dog behaviour advisor for training clubs. Before setting up independently in Ealing in 2015 as  Canine School for Skills. Canine School for Skills has gone from strength to strength, winning consecutive awards yearly for excellence.

Services

As a behaviour advisor I offer services throughout West London and Middlesex. I specialise in dog reactivity (dogs that overreact to certain stimuli: the presence of other dogs, people, being handled, etc with or without aggressive displays). And I have a passion for working with owners of timid or nervous dogs (many of which are rescues), to help overcome crippling fearss or phobias. Please see behaviour consultation page on my website for further details.

If you would like me to part in a event your hosting, offering behaviour advice or other involvement, please contact me.
