There’s a couple of words to describe my style, reportage and documentary, I don’t feel these encompass my complete style though. I am unobstrusive and dictate as little as possible, I prefer getting photos from unrehearsed situations and feel that emotional content is just as important as camera wizardry. It’s very important to make the couple feel relaxed around me and that’s why I always ask for a pre-wedding meet up wherever possible. I like to get to know every couple, to see what styles they like and to inspire each other. Most of my customers book me for the whole day, I don’t want to miss anything and your story book will always tell the story of your big day in detail. I use the very best equipment but I try and use only the natural lighting, couples want their wedding day to be special, not like the paparazzi have turned up! Most couples have a fair idea of the type of shots they want and that’s great, I do love to bounce some ideas around though and see what fits!

Reality Photography Q&A
What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Building a relationship between the photographer and the subject. Keeping the subject in the right frame of mind and giving a calm but confident persona. You can learn all the tricks in the world but if you can't get your subject on your side then you may as well call it a day. Keep positive and happy and it will be infectious
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I'd love to know their style, most people won't be able to give a straight forward answer (it's not their job too!) but I love figuring out exactly what a client is looking and delivering their style of shoot. Customer satisfaction is number one. I'd also ask how 'camera shy' they may be and I'd always keep that in mind and make sure they're never overwhelmed
What do you love most about your job?
What's not to love? I get to spend the most amazing day with two people who run through every happy and nervous emotion possible in the space of 12 hours. I get to have so much fun and the job satisfaction I get from happy clients when I deliver their images to me is everything.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I found something not only that I'm good at, I find it second nature and thoroughly love every aspect, even the part that others might call 'time consuming' or 'boring.' I get to be responsible for people lasting memories, how awesome is that?!
Why should our clients choose you?
I'm adaptable, I'm just as happy shooting a totally geeky wedding as I am shooting an utterly romantic one. To me it's all about story telling, not story writing, I want to portray what makes you guys you! Being professional and keeping to commitments is non negotiable to me, I can't stress enough how much I put my customers first. Also I take pretty damn good photos so I'm told
