Real Renovations and Home Designs

The renovation itself was a simple job but we had to work through several issues with our insurance agent and the building management. The Real Reno team was able to consult us on how to deal with our insurance company and walked us through the entire process. We were updating an out dated bathroom and kitchen in my DUMBO apartment after a water leak that caused major damage.  The kitchen had lots of quirks including an all steel backsplash, and an old faucet that was not easy to remove, as well as heavily used cabinetry.  The bathroom required a full gut job and we had major repairs throughout the studio due to the water damage. Real Reno, not only completed the bathroom a week early, they also refinished our kitchen cabinets, replaced our baseboards, installed new window panes, a Nest System and our beautiful new backsplash from Tile Bar. They were able to help me with the bathroom  design that was clean and modern, and navigate the quirks of the apartment with precise measurements.  Best of all, communication with the team was excellent. I live on the West Coast, and this is our second property, having all updates come straight through my phone via their personalized  CRM helped me visualize the progress and make all necessary decisions remotely.  Frank Rampulla exceeded my expectations. I thought it would be very hard to do this renovation being in the West Coast, but the whole process was seamless. As a rule, home renovation is a nightmare.  I found the exception that proves it and it's Annette and Frank. I had a job that was too big for a handyman, but too small for most contractors. I was referred to RR by a local kitchen and bath store, whose minimum labor charge exceeded the cost of my materials. The owner said RR was a new company that might take on a job my size-- new stone countertop and sink. She made a point to say that they were skilled professionals who knew their stuff. They treated me and my small project like I was their top priority, from beginning to end. Never blew me off for a "bigger" project, never tried to up-sell. If anything, they would reign me in when we went to showrooms.Plus, they are nice, good, hardworking people. Annette was 7-months pregnant when we met in July! I was hot and cranky schlepping to showrooms. Not her. Luckily, her partner Frank was equally as diligent, minus the swollen ankles. My boyfriend had to step-it-up because Frank was on time, brought treats for the puppy and when there was a problem once, he got under the sink and fixed a leak even though he was dressed for dinner. I am extremely happy with my home results after working with Real Renovations. The team was helpful, patient, and thoughtful from start to finish with my kitchen update. The reno itself was not a cookie-cutter job. We were updating an irregular, dated kitchen from the 80s in my east village apartment after gutting the floors. The kitchen had lots of quirks including multi-colored tile, mis-fitting appliances, and uneven cabinetry. They were able to help me with a kitchen design that was clean and modern, and navigate the quirks of the apartment with precise measurements. My favorite part...I ended up using Vancouver Black Qartz Master countertops with matching backsplash. I was also able to add a waterfall edge bar to separate the living and dining area.
