If you are planning a wedding, do not hesitate to hire Tonja (R &R Events and Design) As the mother of the bride Tonja , Abbie and entire staff were
indispensable. Not only for the day of the wedding, which because of them
was so beautiful and ran so smoothly, but for the entire planning process.
I have lived in Grand Junction for over 20 years, but they had access and knowledge of wedding vendors I would not have found on my own. I had so many compliments on every area of the wedding.

My granddaughters wedding went off without a hitch thanks to Abbie and Andrea. In the beginning I didn't think their help would be necessary and wondered why my daughter would spend the money on wedding planners. But she insisted on hiring them. I am now completely on board. I think hiring R&R Events and Design is the FIRST thing a bride should do! From the meetings held months in advance to the rehearsal to the tossing of the bridal bouquet these gals were cream of the crop.

The day of the wedding Abbie and Andrea worked none stop for about 11 hours. They helped decorate our outdoor event that took place on 13 acres of land which we used to its fullest. Even though much of the set up took place the day before there was still much to do the day of. Trust me when I say you just don't want to be doing any decorating or managing florists, caterers, bar tenders, DJs, etc on your big day. You just want to enjoy your day with NO worries. They caught our vision and we didn't have to do a thing(thanks to the pre-planning meetings they have with you weeks and months in advance).
They put on tableclothes, the table decor, filled the watering hole troughs with drinks and ice as well as a wheelbarrow at the entry to the ceremony filled with water bottles and ice. They made sure all the lacey fabrics covering the haybales for ceremony seating looked good and the alter area set up with flowers in correct places and unity sand jars in place . Flower pots put out as close to last minute as possible because of near 100 degree heat.
They set up the "SWEETS " table including 3 tiered cake, about 7 different candies, pies, cake pops, 6 variety of cookies and even put together our wagon wheel Mason jar chandelier that hung over the dessert table. All candles lit in time for the reception and there were tons of them. They made sure all the lights wrapping the trees were on. They made sure food was set up properly and in order for social and dinner hours. Helped gather family for photos. Orchestrated the ceremony and reception from start to finish even grabbing sunglasses from the bridal party during the procession because photos look nicer without them. I could go on and on.
My favorite moment though was when the ceremony had just finished. Family had been asked to hold back from walking the 100 yards to the reception area for family photos. My sons family must have missed the announcement and went to the reception area. When I realized this I went to Abbie asking if she could get the photographer to wait until I could go fetch them. Abbie had on a headset in which she could communicate with Andrea who was in the reception area. Abbie described the missing family members to Andrea and all of them were back for photos within minutes. I didn't have to go jogging in the heat to fetch them myself! This team has it together!!

I had the pleasure of hiring R&R events to help create my daughters dream wedding come true!! From the moment I met this awesome team I knew they were very organized, very friendly, on time, and excited to help me and my daughter any way they could! I had high expectations and they not only met them but went far above and beyond everything I hoped for! They never missed a beat, they always had a smile on their pretty faces, and I know that I could not have done it with out them! From my very first phone call with Tonja through the last details of wedding clean up, Tonja was an absolute joy to work with. As a bride with no in-town family to help with the small details, it was truly a lifesaver to have Tonja handle day-of wedding coordination. Tonja was the real deal. As two college students going through school, trying to graduate, and work 2 jobs each; she was the best thing that could have happened to our planning process. She really took the time to get to know us and our vision. This allowed her to narrow down options based on us (as a couple), and our vision for our wedding. She was there when we needed, and handled everything. As if the planning wasnt wonderful enough, the day of planning was AMAZING. I was the very lucky guest of honor at a baby shower put together by R and R events--I was blown away by all the gorgeous details that went into my shower---starting from the cute invitations to the chalkboard signs by the door to the glasses and straws labeled for us. The décor was beautiful--pinks and golds, antique plates and cups, flowers and lights. They custom designed a photo backdrop for me and my guests to have pictures with. When the sun set we lit all the candles to create an even more beautiful backdrop. The food was amazing and so beautifully presented. Everyone kept asking if I had ever been to a shower more beautiful than this one. Okay if you're on the fence about hiring a planner for your wedding, DO IT, and hire these ladies. They are so relaxed and organized. If you are wanting to hire a wedding planner choose these ladies! The R&R Events team made the whole process stress free and fun from start to finish. My husband is in the military so he wasn't home to help plan as much as I wished he could've so having those extra hands were a blessing. Tonja was so amazing and I had so much fun working with her, it was so nice knowing I could count on her to make sure everything was exactly the way we wanted for our big day!
They are determined to get to know their couples personally and we are so thankful we were able to call them our friends! Once the big day arrived I wasn't worried about a single thing, I just left it up to them and it turned out perfectly. Clearly the best wedding planner in GJ. If you haven’t booked yours yet then you’re done looking. Tonja helped us with every single detail and we were never even in town. The entire wedding was amazing. She went way beyond what we paid her to help us with and she has so many great creative ideas.
