Our primary service we offer is private lessons. We meet at an agreed upon location (usually the client's residence) and train the dog together to make sure you understand how to upkeep the training. It's $100 for 1 session or $350 for 4.

***PLEASE READ!!! I am for supporting small and local businesses but I do not recommend using P.W.'s Dog Training and boarding since my dog Dos died while in Paul Wilhelm Telthorster’s care. We trusted Paul with Dos and to date (1 year later) we still don’t have any answers as to how and why my dog had to lose his life. Let’s start with the facts: I used Paul Wilhelm Telthorster, who is the owner of P.W.'s Dog Training, for boarding services since or around October 2017 when I got my Pomeranian Dos. Paul was scheduled to board Dos from Thursday, July 7, 2022 through Sunday, July 17, 2022. My spouse at the time met up with Paul on Thursday the 7th and exchanged Dos. On Tuesday, July 12, 2022 (Exactly 1 month to Dos’ 5th birthday) my spouse received a call at 1:40pm from Paul stating Dos passed away and that they could meet up to exchange him. My spouse and Paul met up around 2:15pm and Paul gives Dos to my spouse on top of a plastic trash bag with brown paper napkins on his face that contained blood that had come out of his eyes and nose. Dos’ fur was sweaty and matted, he had ants all over his body and some joints were already stiff (Pics are too graphic and horrific to post). At this point Paul only stated the following to my spouse: Dos passed away around 2am that morning, he was unsure how it happened, he was so distraught that he stayed up until 7am, this has never happened before and that after Dos passed away he left Dos outside that entire time (almost 12 hours) due to having small children in his house. My spouse quickly called our local vet and explained the situation and condition we received Dos in. The vet believed it could be a possible heat stroke but for us to get Dos there ASAP so they could send him immediately to Texas A&M for a necropsy to determine the cause of death. That is exactly what we did, we rushed Dos over to the vet. We only had a few minutes to say goodbye and take some photos of his condition before they took Dos out of my arms forever. The same day, July 12th we contacted Grimes County Sheriffs Department and reported our case for animal cruelty. We also explained prior signs of neglect that we had noticed on Dos while he had been in Paul’s care throughout the year. We emailed the deputy what he asked from us and he stated they would wait for the necropsy report as well. We received the necropsy report from the vet which came back inconclusive. They were not able to determine the cause of Dos’ death. The vet explained that the report was inconclusive because of the lapse in time from Dos’ death to the necropsy and due to severe decomposition. On July 30, 2022, we emailed the inconclusive necropsy report to the Grimes County Sheriff deputy who is handling our case. We also called him and discussed the report as well as the process of what would happen next. We explained to him that there are so many unanswered questions. We needed to know exactly what happened to Dos while he was boarded at P.W.'s Dog Training and why Paul waited almost 12 hours to contact us about his death. We were told by the deputy, who has had our case information for the full 2 weeks, that we should not contact Paul directly and that they would continue to complete an investigation BUT he would not be the one to do so since he KNOWS and WORKS with Paul’s dad at the Grimes County Sheriffs Department. This information can be confirmed from the staff directory on the Grimes County Sheriffs Department’s website. My spouse and I called the Grimes County Sheriffs Department multiple times to speak to the deputy about our case. It took a social media post we uploaded about our story to finally receive a return call stating the case was still pending. It now has been a year since Dos’ death and I STILL don’t know how and why this happened to him. I have yet to hear from Paul himself. Now for my opinions: I strongly believe that Paul may have left Dos outside for lengthy periods of time during the days he had Dos and he passed away from a heat stroke. This time frame is when all the surrounding areas were experiencing record breaking heat. Dos was a small fluffy dog and could never withstand more than 15 minutes outside in the summer temperatures. I have wanted to go about this the civil way since animal cruelty is a felony in the state of Texas and we have completed the steps we needed to - reporting it to the local authorities and trust that they would conduct a fair, impartial, and unbiased criminal investigation. Grimes County Sheriffs Department is the entity handling the case and since Paul’s dad works there, nothing has happened with the case. Dos was an important member of our family and I’m speaking out because he didn’t deserve this. My family didn’t deserve this. I am certain that Paul’s major personal life changes within that timeframe took his focus away from the dogs to the point of neglect. Throughout the year prior I had a couple occurrences where Dos came back from being boarded with Paul in conditions that were questionable but not serious. I personally know Paul and I was aware of his changes from social media. Paul has since taken me off his personal social media profile. It is apparent that Paul is not capable of providing each dog the level of care they need and this is resulting to visible neglect and death. I have spoken to an individual that has also boarded their dog with P.W.'s Dog Training recently and their dog was returned to them with unexplained cuts and scrapes. P.W.'s Dog Training and boarding is Paul’s business. It should be a main focus and priority for Paul if he is asking individuals to trust and pay him to board their innocent and helpless dogs that rely solely on him while they are in his home. He definitely needs to get additional training and skills on how to handle different breeds of dogs. He should be required to have better protocols and procedures to ensure he is able to monitor the dogs more frequently instead of just collecting the money and then just letting the dogs run loose among his house until it’s time to return them to their owner. If he is not capable of doing this, he should no longer be in business. Dos’ death should not have to be the example for Paul to do better. We miss him so much everyday. I don’t ever want another family to experience the hurt and pain we have endured and I ask that you help by passing Dos’ story along. We love you Bubbahs! #justicefordos More...

My daughter recently adopted a dog from the shelter. Paul was extremely patient and worked hard to teach him several basic commands. He was very good about helping us all understand the training process and how to properly continue working with her dog. Paul was very flexible and willing to work around the time when her dog was unable to participate in training because of heartworm treatment. I would, without hesitation, highly recommend P.W.'s Dog Training! More...

I can’t say enough good things about Paul. He is knowledgeable, great with dogs (and people), and passionate about what he does. Not only does he train dogs, but he opens the doors of his home to board dogs as well. We had Paul train our lab puppy and we are so happy with the job he did that he’s now training our second puppy. Training dogs is really about training people and Paul is understanding and patient with dog owners (and their children) as well as being a good listener. He takes extra time to make sure that the lessons with your dog are effective and gives tips on how you can do your homework with your dog before the next training session. After knowing Paul for two years now, I can say with absolute confidence that he cares about his clients. They say a well-trained dog is a happy dog...well, my dog is a happy dog because of Paul. I️ have a nine week old husky that is absolutely crazy. He loves to bite me and everyone else, he loves to attack playfully our other animals, he would not listen to me. Paul showed me so many tricks and tips in just an hour, our first training. He had my puppy sitting like a good boy and not attacking the hand for the treat. Paul knows what he’s doing. More...
