I am so happy with Dr Max Pura’s performance who is a super professional dentist. I have got several dental treatments done by him such as filling, Crowns and . .. I was welcomed to the practice by Jill who was very helpful on each visit.I underwent extensive dental treatment, performed by Dr Dariush Hoshyar. Every aspect of my treatment was first class. My recent treatment was partly for the protection of my teeth and partly cosmetic and Dariush is a perfectionist, making the treatment as comfortable as possible with amazing results. The nursing staff contributed to the procedure in a professional and kindly way helping me throughout the day. I dont enjoy going to the dentist and I doubt I ever will (sorry Max), however, I find my experiences here the best I've had. I followed Max here from another practice, as he genuinely seemed to be concerned about your welfare and that the experience is as comfortable as it can be ( now bear in mind were talking about the dentist here). The costs are what they are and I would rather go to this practice, where I know the treatment is thorough and the dentist conscientious, you are kept as informed as you choose to be, from looking at your xrays to watching your crown being made.Would not hesitate to recommend this practice or Max as a dentist.I More...

In my view dentistry is convergence of science, art and communication skills and Max is master in all three. In regard to skill, Max is second to none and makes the difficult look extremely easy. When I saw Max few months back to have my wisdom tooth extracted, I had painful memory of extracting another tooth by another dentist few years back but Max done it so skilfully that the whole process looked very easy. When I've used other Dental Practices in the past, I've been left feeling very anxious and unsure about having dental treatment. Unfortunately this combination put me off attending on a regular basis even though I knew this wasn't good for me. Everything changed after it was recommended that I visit Laura and the team at Avant Garde in New Eltham.Laura (Dentist), Annie (Nurse) and Jilly (Reception) are wonderful at helping me to feel relaxed and well cared for during my visits. Any treatment that is needed is always well explained and has never made me feel remotely uncomfortable but it has certainly made a huge difference to the overall health of my teeth and gums. The improvement has made me feel much happier in myself (I think I actually smile more now) and I can't thank the three of them enough. I had a dental implant completed for one of my front teeth by the implant specialist Dariush. He has done an amazing job in both placing a strong and stable implant, and straightening and whitening my teeth. Throughout the dental work he was thorough and meticulous in his work, to ensure that he produced the best outcome possible. The team at Pura / Avant Garde Dental Care is customer focused and personable. Both nurses and receptionist services denoted flexibility when required, as well as a high degree of professionalism in various circumstances. In my experience, if and when possible, a relationship with any physician has to be based on mutual trust and, like all relationships, there has to be an element of personal synergy. Therefore, if meeting a new physician sets off instinctive alarm bells, it may be wise to shop around! Dariush Hoshyar's provided me with dental care for a number of years. Dariush is a high integrity professional with excellent interpersonal skills. These attributes enable him to translate sometimes complex, jargon - laden procedures into layperson's terms and lighten up the whole experience of sitting in the dentist’s chair. This approach also means that the patient will always have clarity on the available options as well as on a recommended course of action. Although Dariush specialised in cosmetic aspects of dentistry, such as implants and reconstruction, his knowledge covers all necessary elements of dental care and he’d always refer the patient to a colleague or an external specialist when required. This means that the patient will always be in safe hands and receiving the best available care. The best dental experience I have ever had. I have had the worst experiences finding a truly ethical and skilled dentist. I have lived in London for over 20 years and until now I have never had an experience worthy of a return visit . I tried nearly a month ago to see a dentist for a simple tooth extraction and of course the first interaction is a 30 minute up-sell on all the things I need to get done. When I said I was only interested in the extraction at the time, given my current pain and discomfort, his office told me that I need to be referred to hospital for a simple extraction with no complications. This turned out to be an absolute falsehood. A friend referred me to Dr.Max Pura and I booked a new appointment to have my tooth pulled. The staff is genuinely friendly. Every person I met there took an interest in making sure I was comfortable.The dentist was punctual, friendly, responsive and PAIN FREE!!. This was one of those experiences where I didn't even know that he was done until he told me. During the process he kept asking me If I was comfortable. Most impressive to me was that this Dentist took the time to ask me what "I" wanted from him devoid of any sales pitch. When I made him aware of my needs he gave me a few options and simply asked that I followup when I was ready. How great is that?
