Progressive Builders just completed our total gut job kitchen remodel, and we are thrilled with the results! Ron and the whole team were all easy to work with. We chose them over two other companies that we interviewed, and are so happy that we did. It feels like we are living in a new house! Ron promised us eight weeks, but it took nine, but only because we broadened the scope a bit at the beginning of the project. There were a couple of minor communication issues, but that improved significantly. This kitchen is more beautiful than we could imagine, and is very much fun to cook in, bake in, and entertain in! I have a small bit of experience with an investment property renovation and I know how hard things can be even when everyone has good intentions. We hired Progressive Builders to do a complete remodel of our 1960's master and guest bathroom. This involved a total tear down of existing cabinetry, flooring, walk in shower etc. Remodel included custom cabinetry, granite counter tops, new tile/flooring, new tub/toilets and glass doors for shower and around tub. Lighting was updated, and they also replaced a regular door to master bath with a sliding door and rebuilt parts of our walk-in closet to accommodate new cabinetry. It was apparent from the beginning that any new design combining the kitchen and dining room into one grand room would require altering and/or resizing windows.  This might seem a trivial matter; except when the house, built in the 1920s, is subject to a Historic Society's strict requirements.  Of the contractors we talked to only Progressive Builders' project manager, Eric, took this matter seriously, as he knew it could have a design and scheduling effect if not addressed at the very start.  This attention to details was not lost in our decision in choosing Progressive Builders.Progressive Builders are professional in all the disciplines it took to produce a great product.  It was very impressive how efficiently the bearing wall was removed and structurally reinforced.  Eric showed us examples of previous similar work they had done, which was most reassuring.  Experience does count.Attention to details, from custom cabinets, granite on the island, quartz on counter tops, choice of flooring, ceiling and hanging lighting, moldings and different paint requirements, etc., are visually reflected in the project.  And items such as electrical, plumbing, H & AC duct work, etc., that are not readily visible but still require the same level of attention is necessary to complete the project.  Cost, scheduling and change orders were always discussed and agreed upon in a timely manner with Eric so as to have minimal effect on the schedule.  All who have seen the new kitchen have been truly impressed.  Included are a couple of before & after pictures. I want to give a huge shout out to all the people who were involved in this project! From renee at the office for personal and swift responses to all of our questions. to Eric who managed the project almost seamlessly thank you for your great advises and ideas, and to all the workers who treated our home as if it was theirs! I was looking to remodel my condo in Santa Monica while I was away and so I interviewed a few different contractors to find one that I feel comfortable to work with remotely and I felt that progressive builders understood my wishes and have the experience with these kinds of situations and so after drafting a contract that was very clear and fair the project was on it's way to a great start! A wonderful design was drawn up for the kitchen and bathroom and They pulled all the required permits before the work started. When the actual work started I was away and I was informed and kept updated almost daily about the progress via phone/email and even received pictures! We hired Progressive Builders to renovate our 2 bedrooms. My wife had a special requests and Progressive was able to provide that to us. The roof on my house was in bad condition and I had to replace it. I sent email to Progressive Builders and they answered right away and gave me possible options for a new roof. We hired Progressive Builders for a Kitchen and Bath Remodel of our home that purchased in Los Angeles. The workers and subs were all professional from the demolition crew to the framing, tile work, plumber, electrical, kitchen cabinetry and painter. Shawn at Progressive Builders was great. Friendly and punctual from the start, they came quickly to take measurements and helped make recommendations for changes to optimize the structure of our house as well as do drawings to bring an old staircase up to code. He gave us an approximate completion time that included the length of time to receive the permit from the city (they submitted this for us at an extra but nominal fee). His approximation was bang on.
