I have been training weekly with Luke at Progression for several years. He is a great personal trainer. He’s very experienced and effectively gets the most out of our sessions, knowing how much he can push me. He’s really knowledgeable about all areas of training/exercise and offers lots of advice about what I can do when training without him. He’s completely reliable and most importantly, he’s a really lovely guy and easy to get along with! More...

Having broken my leg very badly in 3 places in an accident, following my extensive surgery I was looking for a personal trainer who could not only assist in raising my bone density, but also correct my bad limp following an extended period in hospital. Luke fulfilled the brief perfectly. He not only designed a programme to work on the specific needs I had and varied it to keep it interesting and not be boring, but also offered advice when asked and showed a breadth of knowledge across many different areas. Reliable, versatile, cheerful and totally professional, I would have no hesitation in recommending Luke to any potential client. Luke is without doubt one of the BEST personal trainers I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I myself have been in the fitness industry for more than 22 years and would be a nightmare for someone to train, but Luke does just that and my session with him is the highlight of my week, an intelligently structured workout based entirely on what I am trying to achieve, rather than a bog standard workout that some trainers give to all their clients and to top it all off, Luke is a really great guy too! .. I have been working with Luke for almost 2 years and can’t recommend him highly enough! He makes every session challenging and enjoyable, and is extremely knowledgeable about fitness and diet. He is great at pushing me to achieve things I didn’t think possible but at the same time understanding my limits and responding to any little injuries I have. I trained with Luke to get in shape for my wedding - he is very knowledgable, dedicated and professional and I was really pleased with the results! In a relatively saturated market it's important to identify those trainers who are committed, knowledgable and adaptable to their clients. I have a background in competition rugby and bobsleigh so I have a specific view of what is required and what makes a trainer stand out. Luke is one of these few. He is 100% attentive, patient and adaptable. Luke keeps our sessions fresh and varied and the results speak for themselves. For the whole session he is invested in what his client needs. He is also highly qualified and equipped to offer advice on other things such as diet, nutrition etc. I have no hesitation in recommending and working with Luke and I continue to do so..even if it leaves me sprawled out on the gym floor afterwards!! This is a long overdue review for Luke who I've been training with for several years. First or all, he is a great guy who I get on with, which to me is a really crucial consideration when choosing a personal trainer! He is extremely experienced, reliable and knowledgeable and I totally trust that he really knows how far he can push and challenge me safely. I am a girl with a sweet tooth who likes a glass of wine, so it is Luke I rely on to keep me in line - and it works! The sessions are always varied and (mostly!) fun. I always leave feeling good. I have worked with Luke for a number of years and most recently to get back into shape after having my first baby earlier this year. Luke really listens to what you want to get out of your time together and your long term goals (in my case to wobble less and see my feet again!) and he designs a programme that is varied and fun each session. He is continually pushing you to your limits but has an uncanny ability to know when to stop but each time raising the bar so you can really see and feel your progression. He is such a nice bloke, great fun to work with and really keeps you motivated. I am now fully reacquainted with my feet after just a few months work! I'd really recommend him to anyone looking for a quality personal trainer that can deliver results whilst understanding the balance fitness with the realities of daily life! More...

Luke was my first and, as it turns out, only personal trainer (I would never go to anyone else now). He introduced me to competing in triathlons and I've never looked back. A first class trainer who makes every session different and enjoyable - even the really tough ones. Very attentive, supportive and full of useful advice about fitness, nutrition....you name it, he's learnt about it.
