Previously I hired a Rug Doctor - it took me most of the day, cost about £60 to hire the machine and buy the shampoos, took ages to dry, and felt and smelt funny for weeks after. Just had our carpet and stairs cleaned by Nick at Probitas and it was so much better, and more cost effective. Nick is a really nice guy. He knows his stuff: all the stains (paint, tea, dog and small child!) had specific treatments. He was very efficient: in and out in a few hours. I felt very safe with him in my house. I used Probitas last summer 2015 to clean my decking at home and again this summer 2016, working for a Parish Council the premises are let out to the public, the carpet and chairs at one of the venues were extremely tired and dirty, so I employed the services of Nick and he worked his magic, extremely pleased with the results, better than I expected. When i saw the colour of the water it was just piece of mind to know they were clean inside out. Nick was punctual and polite. He did a great job in cleaning the carpets which now look as good as new! He also took time to explain the whole process of carpet cleaning and very kindly cleaned a small rug on the hallway for free! Will definitely recommend.

I am about to put my house on the market, so some decorating and DIY needs to be done. I considered getting a new stair carpet as mine has spills from the kids taking drinks upstairs and paint marks where we did the bannister. The lounge carpet was also filthy after the previous owners' dog and our cats walking mud in, and lots of soft drinks and tea spilt on it. I have always thought that tea stains can't be removed from fibres as the tannins stain - not true! I decided not to get new carpets, just see what a difference a clean made. Well, the result has been fantastic. All the stains are gone, and Nick's clean has transformed a tired, dirty beige carpet into something people could live with. It actually looks new - though it is at least 5 years old. It's made the whole room look so much better, I'm glad I got Nick in to clean it first - saved me hundreds of pounds!No bother, no hassle, just a great job and a great price too.
