I knew Barry pre his PT days and even then he’d stop and help me with my form when we’d pass in the gym. So when I needed a PT to take my training to the next level he was naturally my first choice. I had been working out for about 2 years solid up until consulting with Barry. I felt that I had hit a plateau with my physique and I really wanted to get in shape for when the brighter weather came around. I honestly feel like I have achieved more in the last two months under Barry's guidance than I have in the last year by myself. This is where the value of his experience and knowledge will really pay off. I will warn you though that this no bed of roses and no pleasure cruise you will have to make changes to get the results. Barry will assess where you are at and set the blue print for you based on decades of experience. You need to follow the plan to get the results. Been training with Barry since just before Christmas and in 6 weeks have achieved some great results.
It’s been a pleasure to train with Barry - he is professional , patient and a real expert in his field.
My gym routine is challenging but varied and he supports my weight loss with exercises to do at home. He is very dedicated and often checks in through the week to see how I am getting on. His nutritional knowledge has been really valuable and helped me to change my diet to support my weight loss.

I've been training with Barry for about a month now and have found him to be a terrific trainer. He has taken into account my capabilities, is always engaged throughout our sessions and checks in regularly to see how I'm feeling after training.
The gym Barry uses is well equipped and, as only trainers and their clients train there, never too crowded.
Overall I'd thoroughly recommend him if you're looking for a personal trainer. He's helped me do more in a month than I had in several years trying to go to the gym on my own.

I first worked with Barry when I wanted to strengthen my marathon running and alternate my training regime including some great nutritional advice that I have kept with me 7 years later. One thing about Barry is he knows how to encourage and push at the right time and if I was being lazy he would make me work harder. How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
We initially start with a consultation in person, over the phone or video call to discuss everything in more detail. From there, we build a training programme that is sustainable to you.
Using principles such as progressive overload the workouts become increasingly harder over a period of time but making sure the biomechanics of your body are functioning properly to coincide with everything we are doing.
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
It's a marathon not a sprint. We work at a pace relevant to you, allowing you to adapt to everything we are doing in & out of the gym.
This way making changes becomes more sustainable long term.
What do you love most about your job?
Helping people. Over the years, I have helped countless individuals meet their goals & feel better about themselves.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I played a lot of sport at school which lead to me joining a gym & from there I decided I wanted to build my career/life around something I am passionate about.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have seen an awful lot in my 30 years in gyms. Some good, some bad.
I like to think I offer an honest approach to health & fitness & always tell the truth when asked anything related to it.

I majority of my clients are in person but I do & have had clients online. Specifically when we had lockdowns etc.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
This would be discussed on an individual basis. I would want everyone to feel safe & comfortable with everything we are doing.
