Was admitted to the Aspen Ward in Russel House (Eating disorders) where I stayed for 4.5 months, and honestly, it not only saved, but changed my life. I will say things aren't perfect and that did frustrate me however, given how much it's done for me, I can't not give this place a wonderful review. By nature, people who are suffering the illness will struggle, particularly when they're first admitted, hence other bad reviews (I know I would have done the same early on into my admission) but the staff and patients became like a family to me, I made friends for life; of which I now I have. Was admitted to meadows ward and spent a month and three days there, the staff were very kind, caring and considerate and tried every possible way they could to help you and speak to you if you were feeling down or upset and they’d try their hardest to make you feel happier and better about yourself. I was very happy with the way I was treated by the staff and a couple of patients and I’d deffinately say meadows was probably the best ward I’ve been two as I’ve been treated fairly and helped massively!? Just had breakfast at this lovely cafe in Ross. The beans were to die for and the sausage and bacon were excellent. Egg was cooked exactly as ordered and the service was friendly and efficient. Overall a definite A+ and highly recommended. More...
