This vet is a JOKE. Sent my customer to a vet because her puppy was showing signs of tenderness from having weak pasterns during teething, the vet called me and proceeded to tell me it was genetic and LAUGHED AT ME repeatedly when I told him I had been doing this for years and NEVER heard that from a vet. I had the customer leave and take her puppy to an orthopedic SPECIALIST who said the puppy will make a full recovery with a change of diet and this is generally NOT GENETIC. What vet speaks so rudely to a customer without even knowing what he is talking about? STRONGLY suggest not bringing your puppy here if you bought it, they seem to only hate on breeders and their productions, even though we health test, embark test, AND show our dogs. I saw Dr. Pressly about a year ago and he discovered that my dog Rex had heart worms. They treated him wonderfully! Fast forward to now - I had to bring “old yeller” in due to swelling on his leg. We saw Dr. Drake this time and they took me right back and did an x-ray. It turns out that he had aggressive bone cancer. We decided to put him down that same day to end his suffering. The whole staff was very attentive and kind. I have two little kids and Dr. Drake held my youngest for me, one lady even brought in the box he would be put to rest in and crayons for my kids to color the box, they did a paw print and a nose print. It was all truly special even though it’s not something you want to ever have to go through. They never rushed us out of the office, they gave us time and privacy with Rex - they even brought a button to press to alert them when we were ready to go on with the process. Once it was all said and done, Dr. Drake even helped carry Rex (in the box) to our car. THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH!! Rex gave us (almost) 12 years of wonderful memories. I've been to a lot of vets. No one is like them! They talk to my babies like people! Not only that, they have shared their own stories about their own animals. It's rare to find vets so humble. We first met Dr. Pressly and staff, when we had to put down my boy Reese, in January. We started bringing my Boxer(Gia) and Ridgeback(Dexter) to Pressly ,and we love them. My 7 month old puppy needed eye surgery, and recommended Care Hospital, well....7 days later, he's doing very well. Surgery was successful and Care was very patient with Dexter! Dr. Drake, Dr. Pressly & the staff are all educated and nice people. Their new office is BRILLIANT! They now offer daycare as well as boarding with huge open areas for the dogs to play (only in crate for two hours after lunch and of course for bed). Next door they also are opening up an animal farm for kids to enroll in for summer, my 7 yr old wants to be a vet do will have her there for a week (think it's just half days). I've taken our dog here since she was a pup, she's now 10, and they have have always been kind, informative. I mainly see Dr. Drake who's fantastic but in the beginning saw Dr. Pressly who was terrific as well and helped my dog with her pain from hip displasia.Keep up the solid work Dr. Pressly & Team! Doctor Pressley and Gayle have been wonderful. Our puppy fell ill with odd symptoms that presented themselves as GI issues. Dr. Pressley was an excellent diagnostician and diagnosed him with a pinched nerve and prescribed rest and anti inflammatory medicine. I had seen the work this hospital did for local rescue groups, so when we moved closer to them, I took our 17.5 year old cat to see them. They were great with her. Then we look our lab to address an issue and they quickly figured out what was the problem. They have since seen our newly adopted kitten and today we were able to bring our other dog in after an accident at the house. They had us come in right away and were able to squeeze us in. They have called us multiple times to let us know how he was doing and what was needed to get him well again. I first went to Dr Pressly & Dr Drake after adopting our puppy through the SPCA. Pressly Animal Hospital is one of a few practices who donate time & resources to the local SPCA. Our adoption included puppy vaccinations at no additional charge if I chose to complete them at Pressly. Through these multiple puppy visits, I came to know & appreciate their love & devotion to animals. I felt like our puppy was a favorite as they doted on her. We LOVE Pressly Animal Hospital. Not only are the Veterinarians simply fantastic (Listen to you, ask questions, very patient etc) the staff is wonderful. From the moment you call they do not rush you off the phone, they work you in when possible to the schedule and when you arrive they treat you and your pet as family. My experience w/Pressly Animal Hospital was GREAT !! My 17 yrs old cat that was sick at the time was treated w/warm, friendly professionalism and concern from the reception desk to the vet tech and the Dr. My cat had a very bad respiratory infection and needed antibiotics (which was administered as a sustained release shot ) as well as required immunizations. I was expecting a $250- $300 bill because we were new customers and she was sick but was pleasantly surprised that it was much less . Dr. Pressly and Dr. Drake were both wonderful when I found out that my dog Bailey had bladder stones during a routine exam. Dr. Pressly helped me try inexpensive ways to break down the stones before exploring the possibility of surgery, especially due to Bailey's age. He also was concerned about a heart murmur that other vets had brushed off as him simply being a cavalier, and Dr. Pressly x-rayed his chest and saw that his heart was in fact enlarged. He then put him on an inexpensive heart medicine to keep his heart healthy and prevent it from getting any larger. I really appreciate that he listened to the concerns that I presented, and provided me with ways that fit my financial needs to help Bailey. All Bailey needed was a change in his diet, and as of now he is totally stone free, without an expensive and risky surgery. We love Dr. Pressly! We have followed him from his previous position at another clinic to his own establishment. We couldn't imagine taking our dog to anyone else. The entire staff is friendly and relatable. They care for your pets as if they were their own. The immense amount of work they do with rescues is commendable. They have a passion for fur babies and we are all huge fans! Our senior dog has benefited from laser treatments for her arthritis and will soon try acupuncture for her hips. I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Pressly. He is absolutey WONDERFUL!! He and his staff are warm, compassionate and kind. They were all just fantastic with my dog Sawyer. I brought Sawyer in because he had been throwing up and looking very depressed. After X-Rays, Dr. Pressly discovered that there was a foreign object in his belly that required surgery to be removed (ended up being remnants of a tennis ball). He was extremely thorough with his explanation of everything and even allowed me to be with Sawyer as he came out of his anesthesia. I will never take Sawyer or my other animals to any other Vet. This hospital is nothing short of a blessing! My 1 1/2 year old pit bull tends to eat anything she can, and subsequently developed a foot long obstuction in her stomach leading through her intestines. I spent a whole week calling everywhere for help, as i am a mom of 2 and very limited income, but everywhere pretty much said" no money, no help. Bye." The humane society put me in touch with this hospital and they literally had me bring her in within hours and performed her emergency service to save her life. They are a part of the Safety Net Program that assist with those who need help. But the most important and special thing about them is the GENUINE interest/concern and care they gave us. We haven't been to a vet in over 8 years, mainly because our dog is always inside and healthy, and because I don't want to get hosed with a vet bill. Recently, I realized my little Shi-Tzu's teeth were in really rough shape. The first vet (in Harrisburg) I took him to quoted us $2300 for extractions and cleaning. I was dumbfounded. Then my friend recommended Pressly. I drove from Harrisburg to Stallings and had the best experience ever!! I now like veterinarian offices thanks to them. Their people and dog skills were superb and authentic, but the price was the best part. They were a 1/4th of what the other vet was trying to charge us! I am so happy we found Dr. Pressly today!!! Brought our dog here after rescuing him from Animal control. He has several burns on his back (unclear as to what caused it). Dr. Pressly exceed our expectation with caring for Mack. He kept him for a few days and truly made his back look 10x better then when we first brought him in. The staff where caring and you really can tell they all love their jobs.
