Can’t believe this place is still open. Absolutely filthy- towels have not been washed since I started going there again just after it reopened.
Is so dirty it actually stinks out the whole bottom floor.
The owners cannot do the dances they teach, and are so passive aggressive and rude in tone. I have counted over 30 class cancellations since April (it is now July). When you ask them about this they come up with a lie, when the reality is they can make more money from renting out to hen parties so will cancel your cheaper classes last minute.
Sometimes you will get to the studio and the poles won’t be up, or the speakers won’t work, or it’s filthy (well, it’s always filthy). You’re more than welcome to use all the expired beauty products in the bathroom though!
edit in response to their reply: “ for several months members had no problem with booking studio hires & classes running as scheduled. We can only apologise for the previous two weeks, the increase in bookings meant a lot of pressure on our small two man operation” this has been happening for way longer than two weeks- this has been months and months and I’ve heard from other members this is common. Also, since my review I’m aware there has been a GDPR breach of private information too which is another reason membership has gone down.
I’m aware you’re a two person operation by the fact nearly all communication is WhatsApp voice clips whilst eating dinner or running errands, but you do hire a lot of teachers.
Also the expired beauty products- I wasn’t talking about the sanitary products (a lot of which I actually put in there myself as I had too many), I mean old expired perfume, expired roll on deodorant, open baby wipes etc.
You may have 5 star reviews on here but this isn’t the case on other websites, and some reviews even say ‘5 stars because I own this business’? You also offer a cash/credit incentive for reviews, so naturally there’ll be more positive ones, but at this rate I don’t believe that’ll be the case for long.
Also, the towel issue wasn’t to do with the ones in the studio itself but the bathroom- there is/was no blue roll available to use and the towel was BLACK from blue because of the filth. You did not chuck that one, a customer did because it made them wretch.

I did the beginners 6 week course and I loved it. The pace of the course was good, and the instructors were really helpful when you got stuck on a move. It's really good exercise, and I feel I've got better upper body strength because of it. It gave me a lot of body confidence and I'm looking forward to starting the stage 2 here too. More...

Had a fun and educational time at pole twisters. Learnt lots of basic moves as a new beginner to the world of pole dancing. Kind and bubbly teacher who helped with all the moves and made the experience less daunting. Would recommend for a fun hour out and as a cool skill to try. Small studio so not daunting. I attended a 6 week course in february completely new to pole dancing, I wanted to gain confidence work on my flexibility and meet friendly new people and I found all of that here. I wanted to learn pole as a confidence booster and for fitness. I was really nervous before my first class, but this disappeared as soon as we started. The teachers have been really friendly and supportive, and the class sizes are small enough that you get good advice and structure to the lessons. I've just finished level 1 and am very keen to go onto level 2. I've found some moves more challenging than others, but have been shown different methods to help me be able to do them another way. Teachers are great but....
All I need to say is that when I decided to move on from Pole Twisters - after 6 years of working for them - to start up my own business within the terms of my contract, I got called a 'cu*t'.

I've just finished all 8 stages with the wonderful Jo and it's been amazing. I never thought that I would be able to do all of things that I can now, especially when I walked into Pole Twisters for the first time a little over a year ago - I was so nervous but I really needn't have been. I organised the pole twisters party for a hen do and it was fantastic. Our instructor was really professional and taught us some great new moves the bride even got a bottle of champagne and we all got certificates. What a blast!This is the second time i have booked this venue for a hen party! The recent event was brilliant, our teacher 'Rachel' was excellent and extremely patient. We went for a 90's theme which included some fab music, dance routines and games. I hired the upstairs studio for my son's first birthday party a few weeks ago and was really happy with the venue.Pros: Staff were excellent obliging, communicative and very helpful. They let us view the studio at our convenience and promptly answered all the questions I emailed to them.Studio was clean, roomy, warm with a side room included in the very reasonable hire price.Staff considerately let us in early to decorate as nobody else had hired the studio that day, which made life much easier. They were happy for us to cover the pole dancing pictures on the walls which weren't that suitable for a children's birthday party!Free access to kitchen for hot water to make tea/coffee.Chairs and tables provided.Allowed to bring own food and drink which saved us a lot of money.Plenty of easy access parking available.Music player and Ipod dock available for free if required.Cons: Studio is on the first floor this wasn't a problem for us but might be tricky if guests couldn't manage the stairs. Seriously this place is amazing.... from the STUDIO, the TEACHERS, the PROFESSIONALISM and the ATMOSPHERE!!! I attend the pole dancing classes with no previous form of experience whatsoever. They do 6 week courses that gently ease you into it whilst being taught by the most exceptional experienced teachers that bring the confidence out of you to achieve what you came there for, no matter what that reason is! Thanks to them i am now doing things i never thought possible!If you want a professional and fun atmosphere surrounded by a good bunch of guys and girls then this IS the place to be!! A friend of mine is quite the Keep Fit fanatic. She works hard, and so she needs the adrenalin high of exercise to de-stress. As well as the gym and running marathons, she has found a more playful way to let off steam, and has had a shiny silver pole put up in her living room. Whenever friends and colleagues go round - for dinner, for drinks, for a meeting - somehow, it always ends up with us dancing around the pole, and the next day we can play spot the UFOs or bruises. I get plenty. Still if done properly (i.e. not after several cocktails) it can get you super fit.
